Pros:

Nothing.

Cons:

Destroyed my face.

I thought I was lucky. Many have acne much worse than I. Nonetheless, with a pimple or so every month, I decided to go to the doctor which prescribed this. Upon taking it, my face cleared for a week. It was until I awake the next morning to find that my face was hurting and throbbing. Going to the mirror, I saw horrible acne everywhere that extended to my neck (never before had I acne there). Stopping immediately made it worse. Till now, my acne appears to be getting worse, and the doctor keeps recommending that I continue. My face was destroyed...I hate my life.

Pros:

No side effects. No interactions with other meds that i take and most other meds in general that my pharmicisy said. But always double check on your own

Cons:

It does help to a degree. I've taken it for almost 3 months there has been improvement but my back is not the smooth acne free like most other guys. There are still some stubborn acne that just wont go away as of yet.

If you have insurance with a minimal co pay go for it there are very few side effects plus they have these cards that you give to your pharmacist and they greatly reduce if not eliminate the co pay. I just take it in the a.m. My dermatologist says its improved which it has. But he is more optomistic than i am. And he gave me 6 refills even though its not recommended for more than 3 months but in many cases the Dr can increase the recomended dosage bases on your particular condition. Eeeeeeeeeeeeh if your Dem thinks its what you need go for it. There is also a generic version "Minocycline" Which is much more affordable. And solodyn is really and extended release for Minocycline. Talk to your Dem about that. Its the same thing you may just hace to take it like twice aday thats all.

Pros:

Works pretty good, still get a few pimples. Been using it 3 months.

Cons:

Go off of it and my skin goes nuts again.

Very expensive, but I think its worth it. With discount card first 3 months were $10, then jumped to $150.

Pros:

I used to get bumps like every other day but after my dermatoligist perscribed Solodyn, for one month and I did not get any bumps.I stopped using it only because I started on accutane...

Cons:

Thank God for insurance because the medicine is very expensive. It was $532.00, but with my insurance I payed $100.

I would recommend this to anyone that is really in need of something that works...

Pros:

None

Cons:

After 13 days a horrible rash developed, hives all over skin, swollen joints. I also developed an intolerance to lactose and gluten due to the antibiotic killing all the intestinal flora.

I wouldn't recommend this pill to anyone.
