Pros:

Kinda helped clear my acne temporarily

Cons:

My body developed a tolerance and eventually started breaking out again

I don't know. I am so frustrated. My acne is not even that bed but it just WONT CLEAR UP

Pros:

It has been able to keep my skin clear even during the times when I am most prone to acne (before and during my cycle).

Cons:

It has a high alcohol content, which is why this product is drying to the skin. And, the dryness can become especially bothersome during the colder months.

I have skin that is very acne-prone. And, that is why, I have to be on acne treatments. As, my skin seems to do best with prescription products than it does over the counter stuff. So, I do plan to keep using this product as long as it keeps my skin clear, even though it is drying to the skin.

Pros:

no pros yet...

Cons:

dry itchy skin

I'm 26 y/o. I had a bad acne back when i was 13-17 y/o. Let's just say it runs in the family. I tried alot of over the counter acne meds and washes. They only worked for a few days and back again. When I turned 18,my face started to clear up w/o any meds. So, I thought I was finally OVER it...sooner than my older brothers which at the time were still breaking out. I would breakout occasionally but nothing major. Not until early this year. I broke out pretty bad..worse than before. Went to dermatologist and was prescribed erythromycin 300mg 2x/day. It worked! but 7 months after I started breaking out again. Now...I'm back on erythromycin and BP cream. My face is really itchy and really dry. I'm not quite sure if it's helping. My derma uped my dosage to 333mg 2x/day. I don't know..I'm losing hope..and I'm starting to get self-conscious...and I NEVER DO. that's how bad my acne is affecting me.

Pros:

Did reduce redness pretty immediately; however, did not remove completely.

Cons:

No effect on my acne whatsoever. Had diarrhea at least every other day.

I have a lot of redness in my face, blackheads/stubborn pimples on my nose and chin. I noticed an improvement in regards to redness right away, but even that didn't become anywhere near NORMAL levels. I tried it for about five weeks-at that point, I was getting diarrhea almost every day, with no change in my acne at all. The full prescription was two months, but it didn't seem wise to take an antibiotic for that long...especially with no results along the way. Would not recommend! Do your research-there are a lot of serious possible side effects from taking this drug (deafness, palpitations, etc).

Pros:

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

btw, it was solution that i used not the capsule

Cons:

my doctor prescribed erythrosolution + aha soap + acne spot / gel. after 2mos of using these products, it made my acne worse. my acne used to be light to moderate. now its severely moderate

im not sure if its the erythro that didnt work or its because of the combination w/ the other products. one thing i know, its expensive but youre not getting something good from it. i thought that break out is normal in the first few weeks. but omg, after 2mos, no chnges at all. i stopped seeing my derma coz i know she wants me to buy her products. im medicating myself now using 2.5% BP + cetaphil cleanser + neutrogena moisturizer. im on my 2nd week of medication now and so far, its working fine (despite of flakiness of my skin)

Erythromycin, accutane, tetracycline, etc. are all TEMPORARY fixes. As long as you have a body, it will produce oil and bacteria--you would die if it didn't. There are not any medications in existence that will magically make acne disappear and never return--if there was, no one would ever have pimples again. Antibiotics used in conjuction with proper diet, excercise, and hygiene will minimize outbreaks. It's all genetic.

Pros:

I have been using erythromycin topical solution for about 2 years it has improved my skin Alot, but it does not treat acne scars. It makes a great improvement when using with benzoyl peroxide as face cleanser.

Cons:

Slight burning, face feels oily, looks really RED

I really recommend this product to people with mild to moderate acne to use alone,If your like me with severe acne my face changed dramatically when using a oral antibiotic, and erythromycin topical solution along with prescription benzoyl peroxide. IT DOES WORK.

Pros:

It did start to make a difference at first.

Cons:

After being on this for a few months it made no difference to my skin. My skin even got a lot worse, while using this.

This could help some people, but not for me!

Pros:

Didn't upset my stomach, no real side effects. I took this for years, it always seemed to have a moderate impact.

Cons:

When I stopped taking it I didn't notice any difference in my skin so maybe it wasn't actually doing anything. I don't really like the idea of being on an anti-biotic long-term.

It was alright, but it didn't do much.
