Pros:

the BP appears to begin clearing up the skin because it seems to almost tighten the skin and reduce the appearence of pours.

Cons:

After 2 weeks of using this product my face began breaking out even worse than it was before. Active Ingredient: Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5%

Inactive Ingredients: Purified Water, Bentonite, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Emulsifying Wax NF, Polysorbate 20, Glyceryl Laurate, Cetyl Dimethicone, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Citrate, Disodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Methylparaben, Propylparaben.

Something in this caused my acne to begin almost Flaring up worse.

At first this product was amazing, but after about 2 weeks my skin became sore and my acne flared up more than when I started using this product. I now have about 30% MORE acne than when I started using the "On the Spot" treatment. I believe that if you have very SMALL amounts of pimples/acne then it would probobly be great, but if you are like me and have acne on the cheek area in a large amount, then its not a good idea..

Pros:

-Diminished whiteheads and blackheads

Cons:

-Left white residue
- dried out my skin
-Darkened my skin tone
-Left dark marks on my skin

When i first started to use this product it was working and it didn't exacly leave me with clear skin, it just made my whiteheads and blackheads smaller. After two weeks my skin started to get dark marks especially my forehead and my skin would peel of and be dry even though i put a moisterizer on it everyday. Then my skin became increasingly dark. It was during the winter and there was barely any sun out so that wasn't it. After a while i stoped using it and exfoliated my skin and my skin is now getting back to normal and my blemishes are leaving. This may work for you even though it didn't do much for me because everyone is different. My advice is to keep an open mind and keep trying until you find the right product for you.

Pros:

BP so perhaps it was working

Cons:

Horrific stinging

Well I started the regimen 2 weeks ago and the on-the-spot was just getting more and more painful every single night. So my [link removed] bp came in the mail yesterday, and when I used it last night I was SHOCKED - the pain was completely gone (had I burned my nerve endings? ;)) Anyway, I think there must be some extra ingredients in the neutrogena that are just too strong for burnt skin.

Pros:

It doesn't dry out skin, dries out blemishes in a few days.

Cons:

Doesn't really prevent future breakouts, or get rid of current ones all that fast. Basically just keeps your face from getting worse.

I've used this cream for about 3 years, and it hasn't done anything for my face, I just never changed because I never knew what else to use. I just stopped using it, and started using On A Clear Day, and it's already started to clear up my skin. I think this Neutrogena product might work if you have very mild acne, or just a few blemishes.

Pros:

- did not worsen pimples

Cons:

- did not reduce size or redness of pimples

Although it appears this product works for some, it did absolutely nothing for any of my problems. I get large pimples around my chin area, and I had hoped this would bring them down a bit. After leaving it on overnight I noticed no change in the pimple. When I attempted to apply foundation the area where the cream had been turned darker than the rest, despite having washed it off. Unfortunately in my case this product is more like a placebo. Hopefully it works for you.

Pros:

If you apply this on small pimples that just appeared, they will most likely disappear overnight.

Cons:

It might be part of the healing treatment, but it swelled my acne/cysts and pimples. I kept using it for around two weeks and cysts would form and last over a month.

For me, this product only seemed to make my acne worst. I'm a senior in high school and I've had acne for about 5 years. However, some products take out the bacteria and all the bad stuff so acne will swell and then vanish. That didn't happen to me within two weeks. A change in diet didn't affect the cysts as far as I'm aware. I have small acne on my cheeks and when I applied the spot treatment on some acne, they became cysts and I've never had cysts on my cheeks before. I would much rather have the acne on my cheeks then have giant, red cysts all over just to cure them. It's not exactly a cheap product for me and I now use minimal amount of the Queen Helene Mint Julep mask to dot over small acne. A tip that will help anyone, no matter how oily your skin is: DRINK A LOT OF WATER. You can buy all the acne products in the world, but flushing out your system with water will benefit your skin best. I started drinking tons of water this year and my skin cleared up immensely.

Pros:

Did reduce some inflamation

Cons:

Made skin REALLY dry, and almost burnt. Never made the spots completely go away.

This doesn't work, try something a little more on the upscale side. You get what you pay for.

Pros:

Helped clear a few pimples. Very handy when traveling.

Cons:

Price for one tube is expensive. Itchy and irritated on skin after applying.Saw discoloration on some spots where pimples were/are at. I usually put it on at night and then in the morning, my face would be all red.

This product may have different results on people, but I recommend that people with a lot of acne/pimples shouldn't use this product, if they don't want their face irritated, discolored or dried out.

Pros:

I don't know...

Cons:

Doesn't really do much, it costs alot for a tiny tube, and it tends to make my pimples bleed when my fingers accendentaly brush it.

Use this for spot treatment. Just as the name says. I got some Neutrogena Daily Scrub for about a dollar less, and the bottle is bigger than this Neutrogena On-the-Spot. Plus, the Scrub did alot more for me then On-the-Spot.
