Pros:

BP so perhaps it was working

Cons:

Horrific stinging

Well I started the regimen 2 weeks ago and the on-the-spot was just getting more and more painful every single night. So my [link removed] bp came in the mail yesterday, and when I used it last night I was SHOCKED - the pain was completely gone (had I burned my nerve endings? ;)) Anyway, I think there must be some extra ingredients in the neutrogena that are just too strong for burnt skin.

Pros:

It doesn't dry out skin, dries out blemishes in a few days.

Cons:

Doesn't really prevent future breakouts, or get rid of current ones all that fast. Basically just keeps your face from getting worse.

I've used this cream for about 3 years, and it hasn't done anything for my face, I just never changed because I never knew what else to use. I just stopped using it, and started using On A Clear Day, and it's already started to clear up my skin. I think this Neutrogena product might work if you have very mild acne, or just a few blemishes.

Pros:

the BP appears to begin clearing up the skin because it seems to almost tighten the skin and reduce the appearence of pours.

Cons:

After 2 weeks of using this product my face began breaking out even worse than it was before. Active Ingredient: Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5%

Inactive Ingredients: Purified Water, Bentonite, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Emulsifying Wax NF, Polysorbate 20, Glyceryl Laurate, Cetyl Dimethicone, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Citrate, Disodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Methylparaben, Propylparaben.

Something in this caused my acne to begin almost Flaring up worse.

At first this product was amazing, but after about 2 weeks my skin became sore and my acne flared up more than when I started using this product. I now have about 30% MORE acne than when I started using the "On the Spot" treatment. I believe that if you have very SMALL amounts of pimples/acne then it would probobly be great, but if you are like me and have acne on the cheek area in a large amount, then its not a good idea..

I have applied this for 2 weeks now, nothing happend at all, its waste of money
December 1, 2009

Pros:

Don't waste money on it There are many cheap, organic, and quicker methods. Like: egg whites, honey, lemon juice, and more. Don't waste money on expensive things like Neutrogena.

Cons:

EXPENSIVE, DRYS SKIN

Don't get it.

Pros:

none

Cons:

does not work

I've used Neutrogena on-the-spot acne treatment for a month or longer and I can say that it does not work at all. I had two small pimples that I could feel developing and applied this on them but within a few days they have gotten worse. For the pimples that were already present, this product does nothing to them. All it does is leave dead dry skin where I mostly apply it. It does not work at all.

Pros:

well it's not a quick acting thing, takes like hours, over night use would be good, but it's only for ON THE SPOT ACNE, not a face wash or a face cream

Cons:

Can never prevent breakouts,

Average! 5/10 may or may not work! end of story...

Pros:

Slightly reduced the appearance of larger red zits.

Cons:

Very drying. Made me breakout. Doesn't vanish on contact. Expensive for such a small amount.

I had heard good stuff about this product for a long time. While I was in the States for a time, my stepmom convinved me to try it out. I was nervous, because my skin had cleared up a lot due to using Oxy Acne Vanishing Treament 2.5% BP. I was worried it would make my skin worse, but since I was nearly out of my Oxy and couldn't find it in the States, I bought this product and tried it out. BIG MISTAKE! It was incredibly drying, didn't vanish on my skin at all and smelt horrible. I recently switch back to me Oxy, which is slightly more expensive, and my skin has cleared up within just two days.

Pros:

Contains benzoyl peroxide, and active ingredient, which is helpful for blemish-prone skin.

Cons:

Contains wax that may cause blemishes to become worse.

Is an okay product for those who rarely break-out.
