Pros:

It has worked amazingly for minor breakouts I've had.

Cons:

It hasn't worked as well for moderate breakouts I've had.

This can work really well, but it's not the answer to everything. I used this for a minor acne breakout I had a few years ago and it was the only thing that worked. However, I had the worst breakout of my life on my chin and above my lips for the past two months, and this did not heal it. I had to use other methods which were dramatically better. It's possible that the reason it worked for me once really well and not the second time, could be different factors at play, concerning stress and environment.

Good and bad
I feel like it works in drying out the acne and not my skin, but it really burns and tingles when first applying it. I've just started using this with two other creams from my derm. and I can tell my acne is clearing up

Pros:

Seems to work well as part of "The Regimen." It's my 2nd week on "The Regimen" and it's going well. I'm psyched!!!

Cons:

Does not "glide" over the skin -- becomes a bit tacky with a toothpaste-like consistency. Therefore it is difficult to spread it around gently, without feeling like I am dragging or pulling my skin a bit, with my fingertips.

I'm 33 and have light acne. I have been following "The Regimen" perfectly, for about 2 weeks: 1. I wash with Neutrogena soap (the "acne-prone skin formula" which is non-medicated, it's just the traditional amber-colored, transparent face soap.) 2. Then I apply Neutrogena "On The Spot" all over my face, as dictated by The Regimen. 3. Lastly, I apply a generic, drugstore version of Cetaphil Lotion. 4. No sunblock. I'm very fair, so I religiously wear a sun hat. I have found that this product (Neutrogena On-The-Spot) works well with The Regimen. I am generally doing all three steps, morning and night. My face gets too red at times, so, over the course of the past 2 weeks, I have occasionally eliminated ONE of the twice-daily BP doses (instead, I gently wash my face, and only apply moisturizer afterwards.) I plan to reward myself by ordering Dan's "AHA+" in August. I think I will incorporate the AHA+ very gradually. Perhaps using it twice a

Pros:

Easily absorbed, good consistency (I like the cream), does the job...

Cons:

It's only a months worth if you use it as the regimen

I gave the regimen a try and its been 2 weeks. I'll update after a month but want to now because I like it. First few times was slightly irritating, but no overall redness or dryness. I have sensitive/combo skin and it is gentle & balances my t-zone oiliness. I mainly break out on my right side...but it still has evened out my left which is now super clear and even. It has brought long lingering little undergrounders to surface and am in that phase after 2 weeks. I notice they go away much faster and will continue to use am/pm. I had no idea this was a preventative treatment, makes sense, & I hope there is no immunity.

Pros:

actually works.

Cons:

dries skin out, small tube, expensive.

I tried Dan's BP and it dried me out so much it was disgusting. I dont know why but this stuff actually doesnt dry my face nearly as much as dan's did and worked faster and better. Of course everyones skin is different but a gentle cleanser, neutrogina on-the-spot and dan's moisterizer is my solution that works.

Pros:

This BP on the spot is not over-drying. It worked for me in about a month.

Cons:

The tube is small for such a high price. YOu have to apply alot and do it religously.

I now have friends and family coming up to me say that my skin looks great. I tried everything, from just face wash to tetracycline to benzaclin. This is the only product that has helped at all (I tried differin too).

Pros:

Pricey :(

Cons:

Very effective for me!

I have slightly oily face and I've been suffering from occasional acne for a year but it wasn't as bad as what happened to my face about 3 months ago or so. I had a very irritating breakout! I had huge cystic acne all over my cheeks, jaw area and especially the forehead. My forehead had it worst. It was sooo itchy and stingy as if there was a huge needle pinching my forehead. The pimples were also piling up, literally, on top of each other. It made me feel so miserable and couldn't help crying over it. I don't want to make the situation worst then it already is so I researched over the internet and I found out about the regimen then I researched the products that I'd like to try first and I just feel so lucky because it worked for me and I don't have to try anything else! Here are what I use: Cleanser = Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash BP = Neutrogena On the Spot Acne Treatment Moisturizer = Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion Now, after 21 days, I'm only left with marks +

Pros:

It works really well at clearing up acne, as long as you use it consistently, and use it along with the rest of the regimen. It absorbs well, and it smells decent.

Cons:

It can be a little bit costly. It can irritate your skin if you have sensitive skin, but it wasn't a problem for me. It also comes in a very small tube.

As long as you use this with the rest of Dan's regimen, it should work well. Even though it only comes in a small tube and it costs a bit much for the size of the tube, I think it's worth it, because it does a very good job at getting rid of acne.
