Pros:

cleared my adult acne after 4 years of trying everything except laser and acutane

Cons:

$6/10 days

4 years ago I developed adult acne. Since then I've tried Proactive, Murad, DDF, Arbonne, Cetaphil, holistic remedies including acupuncture, cleanses, enemas, prescription ointments and oral medications, supplements, cutting out sugar and caffiene, expensive make-ups, not wearing make-up... Finally, I have clear skin by using a dime size amount of the On the Spot which I spread over face and neck and follow with a non-comedegenic, fragrance free lotion twice a day with NO redness and NO over-drying! Sometimes simple is better.

Pros:

Reduces redness and size of pimple, prevents new pimples, doesn't irritate skin that much, good size package

Cons:

None really.

I use it once a day at night. Put on an even layer that soaks into my skin, fairly fast. Then I put on my spot treatment, and in the morning most of the pimples are gone, and no new ones. I used to have bad acne, but it's getting a lot better.

Pros:

Works fast, extremely gentle on skin but still very effective, reduces appearance of shine during the day

Cons:

Can be a bit tricky to apply, comes in small tube

If you use this product twice a day like dan says to, you will probably see great results. I've recently used both epiduo and proactiv consistently for months at a time, and this dinky little tube of 2.5% benzoyl peroxide works better than both of them. And i dont have mild acne either, i have pretty aggressive moderate acne and this cleared it up. Definitely give it a shot.

Pros:

It works

Cons:

It doesn't work

This is one of those crazy benzoyl peroxide treatments. If you dont put it on a CLEAN face it makes it worse. It reacts badly with chlorine, This worked great for a week. Then i went swimming and put it on after, it burned my face. I know it works. Just not 4 me. I would definitely try it but dont get your hopes up to high.

Pros:

It clears out all acne and is a very affordable and non-stink acne cream unlike other types.

Cons:

It dries out a TINY, LITTLE, MICROSCOPICAL amount of skin.

Buy it, it'll make your skin look, feel, and be as soft as a baby's but again.BUY IT

Pros:

It doesn't dry out skin, dries out blemishes in a few days.

Cons:

Doesn't really prevent future breakouts, or get rid of current ones all that fast. Basically just keeps your face from getting worse.

I've used this cream for about 3 years, and it hasn't done anything for my face, I just never changed because I never knew what else to use. I just stopped using it, and started using On A Clear Day, and it's already started to clear up my skin. I think this Neutrogena product might work if you have very mild acne, or just a few blemishes.

Pros:

- Effective at preventing new breakouts
- Does not clump up with moisturizers like many benzoyl peroxide creams do
- Less irritating than most other over-the-counter benzoyl peroxide creams (because of its 2.5% concentration)

Cons:

- Not practical for long-term use due to price and size

The actual product is terrific. Maybe one day 2.5% BP will be widely available in drug stores, in larger sizes, at reasonable prices. The reason this is so expensive is because Neutrogena knows that your options are limited, and they are getting what they can out of you for selling you this rediculous .75oz. tube for $6 - $8. Please, do yourself a favor, and go with Dan's BP. Only use this if you live in a country in which Dan's BP is not practical for shipping reasons.

Pros:

Clears up pretty well
Prevents new spots from appearing

Cons:

Dries my skin out
Caused rashes
Not easy to blend with makeup

I don't know how much this would help but here goes... I'm 17, German-Chinese, a mix between pinkish European skin and yellow Asian skin tone, with moderately sensitive skin. I initially followed the acne.org regimen but it gave me rashes all over. Little itchy red bumps with flaky skin, all over my face. I now use a cleanser, toner, moisturiser and then the Neutrogena but I dab it on my problem areas instead. It has cleared me up quite a bit compared to other treatments. Try it!

Pros:

Works quickly
Removes redness
Reduces swelling

Cons:

Price
Slightly drying

I came across the regimen about a month ago. I have tried soooo many things and spent sooo much money trying to find products that would work for my skin. I decided to first purchase On-the-Spot before purchasing Dan's BP (just to make sure I would have the same results I've heard so much about). I used it twice a day following Dan's regimen and I couldn't be happier. My skin has never been so even toned and clear! I first cleanse with Cetaphil gentle cleanser, then (after waiting five minutes to dry) I apply the 2.5% BP. I finish it off with Cetaphil lotion. Since the tube is so small (.75 oz), I decided it would be more beneficial to order Dan's BP. Hopefully it will work just as well! My only complaint (aside from spending eight dollars for a tiny tube) is that it is slightly drying. But a good moisturizer should help that. There is a slight burning sensation as well, but it's not painful. It kind of feels like a minor sunburn. As I continued to use the BP, my skin got used to it and the burning sensation disappeared after time.
