Pros:

If applied for a couple consistent nights it will clear up all types of acne--blackheads, whiteheads, papules. You can wear it during the day and under make-up. Fairly gentle on extremely sensitive skin.

Cons:

Has the potential to dry out skin and cause it to flake.

This product has definitely worked for me! When I have light acne it will clear it up within a couple days. Very helpful product in clearing up all types of acne. I've used it on severe papules---acne that has been deep under the skin (and sometimes tried to pop) and it has helped in soothing the acne and improving its appearance in only a few days. It does have the tendency to dry out skin, so only use as directed (a very small amount on each pimple). I usually see the flakiness as part of the healing process. It's somewhat like exfoliation. It's never uncomfortable and is easy to fix with a small amount of lotion.

Pros:

works incredibly well and quickly. Gets rid of the small pimples and greatly reducing the bigger ones.

Cons:

Extremely Drying before moisturizer is put on. but once skin is moisturized, not a problem-- although there some irritation.

Something about the fact that this is a thicker cream consistency as opposed to a watery gel make it seemingly more effective and potent. I tried Dan Kern's gel and it dried out my skin tremendously, because it was a gel and it required so much of it. A cream just works better for sensitive skin in general.

Pros:

I've used this product for a while, and it works great! Being only 2.5% concentration, it's gentle on the skin, and does a great job getting rid of mild to moderate acne.

Cons:

Pricey for the amount you get. Plus, make sure you carry a cloth with you if you sweat a lot (like myself). It'll leave an annoying milky residue on your face (especially while exercising outdoors in the heat).

Overall, this is an fine product. However, I still prefer Dan's product over this one for the simple reason that it's a gel-based formula. Neutrogena On-the-spot is not very good to use in the summertime if you sweat heavily, and it does occasionally clump up when using a moisturizer (because it's cream-based). However, it does get the intended job done and I would still recommend it to most folks.

Pros:

Not to dry, works fast!!

Cons:

None

It really works for me. I've seen some reviews that said that it burned, well I don't know how bad they're skin is but for 5 people that I know and use the product it doesn't burn at all.

Pros:

Existing pimples vanished within 2 after first application. Within a week, no signs of new blemishes or newly forming pimples.

Cons:

Noticed the slightest increase of blackheads in areas that were not prone to them, ie: cheeks & around my facial hair area. Does dry out skin if overused.

After establishing my own NATURAL (honey, sugar, hydrogen peroxide) regime, I decided to add BP to the mix to see if I could enhance my results. I couldn't be happier. My skin hasn't been this clear in a long time. Plus, its really helping with the post acne marks that I dread. *TIPS for the side effects of BP* I only use BP at night. By cutting the dosage in half and finishing off with a little moisturizer, I found that I prevent the dryness its known for creating. Plus, since I'm wearing my pjs, I don't have to worry about bleaching my good clothes. And another tip for bleaching prevention is changing your bath towels and pillow cases to white.

Pros:

Works well
Consistency feels good
Helped clear up acne

Cons:

Price

This product works well. My regimen consists of washing my face with a purpose bar, and using this as my BP treatment. My skin type is pretty normal. It is not oily, but I still break out a lot. After a week of use this product has helped with new pimples, and started clearing up the old pimples within a few days. Will buy this product again.

Pros:

Works very well.

Cons:

Too expensive and tube seems to run out quickly.

I much prefer Dan's benzoyl peroxide, but this is easy to buy at your local drug store.

Pros:

it does kill the germ and clean the pore.

Cons:

hate rubbing it to my face. i feel i will have more wrinkle later. :P

i don't like this prodcut because it's so hard to massage into the skin and i feel i am wearing a geisha mask after it. and it's expensive with such a small tube. but it works. but i will stay with Dan's gel. it's easier to apply and it works quite ok too.

Pros:

I've used it a few different times over the years, it seems like someone always has a tube. I usually don't apply consistently, and only dab a tiny amount directly onto the blemish. I've never had any dry skin, but I have noticed much improvement.

Cons:

None that I can think of.

We're a "fast" nation. Nobody wants to wait for anything (instant oatmeal, microwavable meals, fast food, 30 minute delivery, 60 minute tire gaurentee, etc). Well, I hate to break the news, but healing (including acne) takes time. Side Note: Those bitching about the price, it's called "ON THE SPOT" for a reason, not to be used over your entire face... that's why it's drying out doufus! I get huge dime-sized painful blemishes under on my neck around my jawbone line, and outside of taking oral medication for 1 or 2 break outs a month (which is ridiculous so I don't take the medicine), this product does wonders at reducing the size and severity at the detection of one of these monsters. I rated my acne moderately severe because I only get a few blemishes, but when I do, it's pretty severe! haha
