Pros:

Works temporarily
Smells decent
Good price for a large quantity

Cons:

After a few days, my cheeks break out like crazy with this stuff
Dries out skin

This cleanser works temporarily for me, and then my cheeks start to break out. It dries out the skin, which is no problem if you have a good moisturizer, but the pimples it causes on my cheeks are big and red. I can't use this stuff anymore.

Pros:

-

Cons:

Dry, dry, dry!

I have tried everything for my acne and luckily last year had some luck with Accutane. Recently, I had been getting small flare ups and decided to try the Neutrogrena wash. Used it for two days. Seemed to slightly clear up my skin, but left my face and lips extremely dry and scaley. It also caused the appearance of tiny tiny whiteheads all over the place. Back to square one I guess.

Pros:

Clears up acne nicely. Smells pretty good. Feels great! No dry skin.

Cons:

Must use consistently.

I really like this product. I have pretty mild acne though so I do not know how well it reacts on heavy acne.

Pros:

cheap and "Number 1 recomended by dermatologists". works to keep your skin clean but not acne free.

Cons:

not a good acne treatment

I don't know what dermatologists recomended this stuff....but it didn't touch my pregnancy acne.

Pros:

Reduces acne very quickly (in a matter of days).

Cons:

It doesn't completely get rid of my acne - I still get breakouts often, but they are usually small and not so noticeable. Also, this product really dries out my skin if I don't moisturize.

I have fairly sensitive skin and have had no luck with products containing Benzoyl Peroxide. I've tried a lot of over-the-counter cleansers, but this is the only thing that really makes a dent in my acne. I'm still looking to find a more effective product, but all in all I don't have many complaints. Also, some have complained about the smell, but it doesn't bother me a bit.

Pros:

I had mild but consistent chin acne and some folliculitis on my back that was getting worse with sweating a lot in yoga classes. This product cleared up all the "bacne" and most of the chin acne. I noticed a difference right away.

Cons:

The smell reminds me of a dishwasher.

The detergent-like smell is well worth the effects of reduced acne and better skin. I have used other salicylic acid products that have been more harsh and not worked nearly as well as this one. I have very sensitive skin and have not had any problems.

Pros:

Inexpensive, good cleanser

Cons:

Can be drying, cleans well, but does not necessarily clear acne

I think this is a good cleanser for acne-prone skin. This is the first over-the-counter cleanser I have used that did not make my acne worse. With the combined use of Retin-A I have seen a signficant decrease in acne.
