Pros:

Three step system, easy to use, and gentle on the skin. No peeling, drying, or excessive burning. Clears acne scars and diminishes pore size. Make-up goes on more smoothly.

Cons:

None thus far.

I've struggled with adult cyctic acne since my late teens to early twenties. I am in my late twenties now and it is difficult to find products for young/semi-aging skin. I have tried Proactive, Oil of Olay, and Nuetragena. Those products only treated my skin for a few weeks and stopped working. I highly recommended this product because it combines the perfect amount of acne treatment and mositurizer to protect skin. The cleanser is gentle and leaves my skin clean. The therapeutic lotion contains 5% benzoyl peroxide which targets acne (such as mine, cystic). Finally the soothing moisturizer has 20% glycerin (which most other acne products tends to take out of their prodcuts and replace with chemicals) which creates a shield to soothe and protect my skin. If you are tired of spending extra time getting ready to 'cover' your skin or worrying about your skin, consider this product. I am a busy woman, and the last thing I need to worry about is my skin. The best compliment came from my husband; when he told me how beatiful my skin looks. :o) Give Obagi a try for your skin and peace of mind.

Cons:

drying of skin
made pores larger
lots of congestion
blackheads

I have read many reviews and this product is excellent for some folks and absolutely terrible for others..to include me!! I was very loyal to obagi and did all phases. My face now looks disgusting. This system is terrible for those with sensitive acne-prone skin. I have been taking pics and my skin looked better before i started at the spa. My face is so congested and so many blood capillaries are broken I did not leave the house for a few days. With the retina and no moisturizer, this skin care is way too abrasive! I was getting cysts as well on my chin constantly. I changed spas finally and on a slow road to recovery...

Pros:

IT'S A BRIGHT NEW DAY...FINALLYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cons:

Pricey and untrustworthy/pushy/insensitive sales girls!

Im 39, olive/tan and have had acne scars on my cheeks since pubirty, accompanied with discoloration and shadows. Ive been on the nuderm system for 10 days and Im shocked at what im seeing. I just want to cry tears of joy! Sure theres peeling but i want more. I love seeing the progress. Spots are almost all gone and the acne scars a bubbling up, ready to shed the years of anguish!! Even with the peeling I'm getting complaments. Thats how bad I was. DOES ANYONE KNOW how I can accelorate the peeling or is that not good? Also, is scrubbing the dead skin off with a washcloth ok, to allow the meds to get to the new skin or am I causing damage. Pain I can take, I have my whole life. I just dont want to get to anxious. ANYONE? Thank you so mch:)

Pros:

This product works no matter your age!

Cons:

This product can be a little pricey but you can find it on E-Bay for around $22 each item.

I'm a 41 yr old female. I started using this about 4 years ago. I've always had problems with acne and it made me vary self conscious about my face. Around the same time my son (15) started getting acne. I was very concerned that he'd start feeling the same way about his face so I introduced the product to him. His face cleared so fast and his skin looked so good that his friends at school started asking what he was using. H'e now 18 and has great skin, smooth & acne free. Now my 13 yr old is using it. I've never been able to find a better product and I'm sure we'll continue to be an Obagi family for years to come.

Pros:

WORKS!

Cons:

expensive

So I started breaking out extremely bad recently to the point where I not only had deep acne but also blackheads and clogged pores all over my face. I don't think my skin has ever been this bad! So I tried EVERYTHING including proactiv (which used to work for me), regular products like Neutrogena (grapefruit acne wash and acne stress control cream acne wash), I even spent $$ on Bliss products like the Clog Dissolving Cleanser and the Bliss Steep Clean 15 minute Facial, and also I tried the Neutrogena 5 Minute Peel. This was all in a matter of 3 months. I even got several facials, and im even on Birth Control! NOTHING WORKED. Seriously tried this product and didnt think it would work. BUT IT DID!!!!! Its been only like 5 days and my face is 95% clear! I'm so amazed at the results. Its been sooo frustating but I finally found a solution! My skin was really dry which was making my acne a lot worse but this product didnt dry me out at all!! By the way I got the Normal to Dry Skin vers

Pros:

Smoother, softer, gets ride of black heads, scaring, the list can go on!! I've tried many products and I had moderate to heavy acne and this has done a major change.

Cons:

For the first few weeks your face will be as red as a lobster and it causes alot of drying, itching, skin cracks close to the mouth and can cause a bit of bleeding...but I must admit it doesn't hurt if you have the cream, it's mostly uncomfortable!

I have been on this product for 1 month and 1 week now, and I can tell the difference between night and day with my skin and my acne. Of course it was very embarassing the first few weeks because it looks like you've caught a tan that simply went bad. I was introduced to this product when I was looking for a private clinic that can help me with my acne since all the other dermatologists that I have ever been to never gave me any thing that got ride of the acne. Right now all I have is blemishes but it will slowly go away I have been told, but I need to continue on the product for 3 months. After 1 month I have eliminated 90% of my acne I only have blemishes and the other 5% to get rid of...hopefully it will be done by month 3. I really think people should try it, I have tried so many products and this one is working in the less amount of time, and it doesn't damage anything internally...just skin shedding...shed baby, shed!!!

Pros:

REALLY REDUCES CYSTIC ACNE

Cons:

gives me blackheads :(
red skin.

I get really big deep cystic acne so I have been using this for about a month and it has just about gotten rid of cystic acne! YAY!!! However now I have lots of little blackheads :( I had never gotten these before. However I guess I would rather have some blackheads than giant inflamed bump on my face that will scar it all up. Only thing I don't get is how this is supposed to take the red out of skin if my skin is very red from product use.

Pros:

Fights pigmentation, unclogs pores.

Cons:

Initial flakiness, dryness and irritation.

After only 25 days of using Obagi Nu-Derm kit for dry/sensitive skin with Retin A Micro, melasma on my forehead and post-inflammatory pigmentation on my cheeks are almost gone. I have tried topical behind-the-counter hydroquinone and Meladerm with no results. I think the latter actually made my overall skin tone and pigment spots darker. Obagi Nu-Derm kit is truly transforming my skin. I can`t wait to see my skin at week 12.

Pros:

Maybe working? Face cleanser leaves face burning, but feels so clean.

Cons:

Hella peeling + drying, I didn't want to leave the house for past few days it looked so nasty.

Burns and uncomfortable but willing to stick with it

I'm East Indian & have oliveish/light tan? combination skin. I've tried countless products for years and years and this is my little piece of hope before just giving up. Started on the 23rd. So far my skin has been sloughing off, as nasty as that sounds...not sure it'll work, but it seems like clear skin is surfacing. At least I hope so. The peeling is so disgusting though, it looks like I'm really sunburned and my skin has darkened a few shades, but as it sheds its clearer. After I use the 3 steps, if I apply lotion or sunscreen, it feels ice cold, so my face has been feeling kinda like it's on fire for past few days. Will update at the end of 2 weeks, which is what they say is supposed to be an approximate time to expect results.

Pros:

It works

Cons:

cost

I just completed my second week on the Obagi skin care system. The first week was difficult due to redness, peeling and irritation. Many of the complaints written are true... but remember... this is to be expected and is part of the transformation process. I can honestly say I see improvements already even though this is a 16-18 week process. I'm hopeful this product is what I've been lookin for. My skin tone, texture and clarity has improved. I'm in my 50's and I have very messy skin {redness, blotches, breakouts, sun spots}. I even think my fine lines seem deminished a bit. I will stick with this to complete the process. My goal is to go naked (very little or no face make-up)! Cutting back on expensive make up will help pay for the system.
