Pros:

light weight, moisturizing, unscented, gentle, doesn't break-out skin, absorbs quickly

Cons:

giant bottle, slight initial burning sensation

I love this lotion for my dry, acne prone skin. I tried the Cetaphil lotion, which I heard was gentle. However, it felt like my skin couldn't breathe when I put it on. It didn't absorb very well, and my skin was super oily for the entire day after application. Frustrated, I picked up a bottle of CeraVe lotion to replace the Cetaphil, thinking I'd give it a try. I'm so glad I did! It makes my skin feel super moisturized without leaving it greasy. It didn't break me out at all and used in conjunction with the CeraVe cleanser, my skin returned to a youthful and glowing state. My dry patches went away, as did the weird patches of non-acne bumps on my forehead. Like I said on my CeraVe cleanser review, I only wish that this lotion came in a more travel friendly bottle instead of a giant 12oz. bottle! For traveling, I plan on pumping a small quantity into a travel-sized bottle...so I guess it works out lol. Besides being dry and acne prone, my skin is also a bit sensitive. Not SUPER sensitive, but sensitive enough that certain products make my skin burn. The first few times I used this lotion, I did notice a very slight burning sensation. Not unpleasant, but enough that I noticed. When my father (who has extremely sensitive, red skin) tried this lotion, he complained that it burned. Not terribly, but enough that he mentioned it. I would suggest giving this lotion a try even if there is an initial *slight* burning sensation. It goes away after a few uses. Overall: try it!

Best Moisturizer EVER!
I follow a dermatologist on youtube, Dr Dray. This is what she recommends and it has been a life changer. It has ceramides in it to help reinforce your skins natural barrier. Studies have shown that people with acne have low levels of ceramides. It is so light and leaves the skin perfectly moisturized. I have tried so many different skin care products and this just might be the best.

Is it also recommended for an oily acne prone skin type?

Pros:

Very moisturizing
Pump bottle
Nice smell (even though it's not fragranced)

Cons:

Maybe a little shiny? Nothing really, though.

I have used the moisturizing lotion and cream. I used the lotion before I was on Accutane. The lotion was very moisturizing, but maybe just a little shiny/greasy for a while. Overall, great. The cream is also great. It leaves a matte finish and is very moisturizing, and not too thick. The only complaint with this is that it's not a pump, so I have to dip my fingers in every time, which may be unhygienic, but oh well. Get them!

Pros:

-This combined with Palau's Choice BHA 1% Lotion keep my flakes at bay.
-Doesn't ball up under makeup.
-Doesn't make me look oily.
-No fragrance.
-Doesn't break me out.
-Not sticky.
-Absorbs well.

Cons:

-No SPF but I use the AM version when going outside in the sunlight.
-A little expensive but not prohibitively so.
-Doesn't contain antioxidants.
-Doesn't contain ingredients that calm red skin.

I love love love this lotion. I use two pumps; I start at my neck and then my face. Perfect for the DKRegimen. I chose "moderate" acne because that's what I have when not on the DKRegimen. I only get a spot or two around that time of month.

Pros:

Helps dryness
doesn't feel greasy
absorbs quickly

Cons:

too much will make you a little oilier, but that's true of every lotion

This is the best moisturizer I've ever used. Even when my topical meds make my skin dry and raw, this lotion helps nurse back into good health. Works even when I'm using epiduo and 4% benzoyl peroxide wash.

Works for me!
Let me just start by saying i have suuuuper dry skin. I got a sample of this moisturizer from the medi spa I go to. I like it because it actually goes into the skin and makes my skin feel hydrated and comfortable, versus just sitting on top and making my skin feel sticky and dry. I will definitely purchase a bigger bottle.

Pros:

Absorbs quickly
Odorless
Skin looks hydrated and glows
Does not cause breakouts
Affordable

Cons:

None

I can't believe I found a moisturizer that works on my face that comes in a large pump container! I was sick of paying 10 or more dollars for tiny bottles of moisturizer that wasn't that great. This stuff does not contribute to acne and works very well. I especially noticed its softening abilities on my neck. My skin became velvety.

I used to be deathly afraid to apply moisturizer to my face. Not anymore! This stuff has worked wonders, my skin is even toned and amazing! I also use Tretinoin and BP and my skin is not red or dry at all!
