Pros:

helps reduce redness

Cons:

does not moisturize
leaves many flakes

not effective at all at moisturizing. I use the entire 2 pumps like recommended, but using 2 entire pumps doesnt even really absorb into the skin. Works fine for about an hour or 2 then face becomes extremely dry/flaky

Pros:

Not oily
moisturizes
smooth skin

Cons:

stings a bit at the beginning

I have very dry skin, but despite what other reviewers experience, this helps get rid of flakiness. I had some stinging when I first started to use this product, but it subsided. I loved the old formula, but it always left my skin shiny and this doesn't. One recommendation I have for other users is if your skin is really flaky apply some jojoba oil at night. This definitely helped me!

Pros:

Helps reduce redness. That's about it.

Cons:

Does not moisturize.
Doesn't help with flakiness.

The old formula I could apply twice a day, once in the morning and once at night and I'd be fine without any flakiness or dryness. This new one doesn't moisturize. My skin is dry in less then an hour after application with jojoba oil. I moisturize 3+ a day with this and it is still not enough. Thought I finally had a system that worked and now it's ruined.

Pros:

Moisturize's skin very well, makes skin fell very smooth, and helps with flakes!

Cons:

a little irritating for first few times (my skin is very sensitive) but your skin gets used to it and it feels nice. I still get flaky from time to time but its winter and very dry around here.

This is a great moisturizer! If your using Dan's regimen this is crucial! It really makes all the difference.

Pros:

No Sheen

Cons:

Not moisturizing
Leaves flakiness

I was very excited to try Dan's new moisturizer. However I was disappointed for the first time with one of Dan's products. The first day I used it I got really flaky and had very tight skin. I kept an open mind and continued to use it in hopes that my skin would get used to it. I read in Dan's blog about using 3 pumps and I believed that would fix the issue as I was only using 1 or 2. After about 2 weeks of using 3+ pumps I am still very dry and have decided to switch back to the old moisturizer. Maybe I could use more and be okay but there comes a point where one must balance time and benefit. I already spend 10-15minutes for the regimen and it works great. However, there comes a limit to how much time is practical and adding in the 'soaking in' time for 3+ pumps of moisturizer is pushing the line for me Dan seem's very open minded to suggestions so I'm sure it won't be long before we see an update to the new moisturizer. Until then I hope my old formula will last!

Pros:

Goes on easy

Cons:

Flakiness control is not as strong as the old formula
Takes longer to absorb
Still have minor problems with redness and shine

So I bought this stuff as soon as it came out, hoping it'd be as good as the old formula without the shine and redness the other formula gives me. I luckily still had some of the old formula, so I was able to compare the two over the last few months. What I found was that the new formula isn't as good on flakes, makes my face just as red (if not moreso) than the old formula, my face is still pretty shiny, and it doesn't absorb as well. So essentially, it takes longer to absorb and doesn't do as well on flakes. That wouldn't be too bad if it weren't winter time, when flakes are there worst... Needless to say, I've gone back to the old formula. Too bad I don't have an unlimited supply...they need to bring it back.

Pros:

Very light
No shine after application
Definitely doesn't clog pores
Soothes inflammation

Cons:

Moisturizes all in one burst
Doesn't hold moisture in to skin
Takes a long time to apply when using 3 pumps
Rather expensive
Doesn't contain glycerin

Well, considering I have never used the original Acne.org moisturizer, I cannot compare it to this one. However, I feel that this is a great moisturizer for people who are not on the Regimen. If you are using the Regimen or are using products that dry the skin, I do not recommend this moisturizer. This moisturizer does not contain any bit of glycerin, which is a key ingredient in most moisturizers because of its ability to lock in moisture to the skin. The moisture that it does provide seems to evaporate in a few hours. This leaves the skin dry, irritated, and flaky. Although non-comedogenic, the irritation that your skin will go through when using this moistruizer may exacerbate acne to some extent. Out of all of Dan's products, this is the one that I like the least. I must thank Dan, however, for providing this site and for all of his hard work on his line of products. However, this moisturizer just simply doesn't do the trick for me, and as it looks, for a lot of people using the Regimen.

Pros:

Significantly reduces oil and shine!!
Goes on easily
Feels cool and refreshing on
No scent

Cons:

If you apply it without the BP treatment it takes a lot longer to absorb into the skin

I'm still a little flaky from the treatment and so you need to use a lot of moisturizer but this stuff rocks!! Please don't ever change the formula!!

Pros:

feels smooth going on

Cons:

flakiness, burning, itching, skin feels dry,

I really liked the other moisturizer. It felt great going on and really moisturized my skin after applying the bp. The new moisturizer has not worked for me at all. My skin burns right after I apply the bp and burns for about a half an hour afterwards. After the burning goes away, I experience a slight itchiness all day. It seems like I'm having alot of the same symptoms as some of the other reviews. I also work up this morning with my eyelids being slightly swollen. Luckily the swelling went down after about a half hour. I'm not sure what the problem is. I figured that it would work really well for me becuase the AHA with lichochalcone worked so well. Maybe its something else in the product? Please bring back the other moisturizer or at least make two versions of the moisturizer the old and the new one.
