seeing & feeling results!

Pros:

Smooth skin
Results
Gentle treatment, not sore at all

Cons:

Abit pricey
Have to wait atleast 2 weeks inbetween sessions
You dont get results as quickly as you like (time consuming)

I am 21, I have small breakouts once in awhile, but I also have old acne scars & redness so even though my breakouts are small it looks like I have more pimples than I actually do! Ive had 2 treatment sessions of Diamond Microdermabrasion. I have not seen any significant results BUT I have notice my face is not so red, my skin feels smooth and very clean! And my acne scars are fading lightly more and more after each session! I cant wait for my 3rd session! I will continue until im satisfied, ill make sure to write another review :)

Pros:

softer
cleaner, no fuzzy whiteheads
smoother
absorbs moisturizer better

Cons:

expensive, not sure one receives that much bang for the buck since must have 5-10 to see results. first treatment most dramatic, I have had 4.

I will have 6 treatments.... the sixth is free, would I do again? , maybe.

Pros:

It cleans out the blackheads and dirt from pores. It also helps with discoloration left from acne.

Cons:

Shouldn't use on ACVTIVE acne even though they say it's ok.

If you have cystic acne like I did don't let them tell you it's harmless and will help cause it hurts like hell and makes the cystic acne scar worse :( But if your face is ACNE FREE and you're left with scars and discoloration then I'd say go for it!

Pros:

Soooo, the procedure only lasted like 15 minutes. It does not hurt at all! My face felt a little hot when she was done but it cooled off before I left the Dr's office. It was also a little pink but NOT inflammed or red (yes biracial folks can get red

Cons:

ITS PRICEY BUT IT WILL BE WORTH IT IF IT WORKS...NOT TO MUCH RESEARCH ON IT JUST YET

***** I GOT THE HYDRAFACIAL***** From all that I have gathered this is a new type of treatment. Im guessing that it stems from microdermabrasion. I saw a aesthetician today and got it done because I'm NOT confident that these Doxycycline pills are going to work. I also told her that I have tried everything (reg facial, proactive, otc cleansers, vitamins) and needed to get some results. Im 30 and tierd of breaking out. I cant get laser or other treatments for fear of hyperpimentation.

Pros:

Smoother skin after first treatment. Not painful.

Cons:

Very expensive for the results you get

I have done 4 treatments, and it was supposed to be in one of the best clinics in town. I have dark scars from acne in my back and face, but I am not impressed with the results at all!! I may try chemical peel for now, see if I get better results.

Pros:

Little downtime, not too pricey compared to other treatments, not painful

Cons:

Can get pricey if you continue treatments, may cause new acne pits to appear if you currently have pits that aren't too noticeable, dry skin for 2-3 days

I sometimes get cystic acne on my cheeks. I had a few depressed acne pits & some indents that weren't too noticeable. I decided to go to a beauty clinic that charged $50.00 per microdermabrasion treatment that includes a facial. My skin felt so smooth after. But after a few treatments, I noticed new acne pits that weren't noticeable before and now they appeared to look even deeper. I sugges microdermabrasion probably works for those with clear skin or minor red acne scars. But I feel that this is not a good treatment for those that have cystic acne w/ current acne pit scarring. I tried Juvederm yesterday and so far the results are great. Contact me if you want before & after pictures.

Pros:

glowing, perfect skin!
even on dark, indian skin!

Cons:

dry skin for 2-3 days after treatment
also, the process is not a luxury facial...it hurts! but worth it.

hi everyone. I had severe acne and went on accutane ( roaccuane) which worked wondersfor my acne, but my scars remained. I tried gentler things for a yr, then 2 mths ago started having 2 wkly microdermabrasion ( CACI Chromaclear which combines it with light therapy). After the first session, i was so disappointed--my face was red, sore and very dry. I almost cancelled my second appointment---but im so glad i didn't because from the second one onward (have now had 4) my face is so fresh and smooth, the dark pigmentation from the scars and some of the pitting even is much, much less! mY face recovered quicker with each successive treatment and my face is so much better -i no longer wear make up.

Pros:

I have adult acne of every category(i.e. whiteheads, blackhead, papules)However, the first session I saw no improvement, but in the second session I saw massive improvement, BUT the clear skin only lasted for a two weeks.

Cons:

The skin becomes dependent on microdermabrasion, therefore, consistent treatment is required to see positive results.

Not worth the hype. There are various kinds of microdermabrasion. research before you head to the nearest salon and dermatologist. Remember: they are business men and women therefore they will give proper medical information, with results may vary per person.

Pros:

Helps your skin exfoliate and renew itself for a fresh appearance.

Cons:

Results are temporary and too superficial to treat acne.

I underwent 6 sessions of microdermabrasion - one every two weeks, and then followed up with one session per month. My skin looked fresher and had a healthy glow after each session because the treatment basically exfoliates your skin. My acne subsided for about one month, but thereafter returned to its usual pattern. After the second month I was back to where I had started with the scarring and my level of acne. I would not recommend this procedure as a long-term solution to treating acne. It's a good way to get glowing skin quickly for a few weeks though. Definitely not worth the pain (moderate) or what it costs though (and I recieved a steep discount).
