Pros:

leaves skin soft and somehwat improves red marks leftover from old acne

Cons:

Is not a dramatic enough change to warrant the cost.

I had a series of 6 microdermabrasion treatments done at my dermatologists office, scheduled one month apart. My skin felt much softer nad it did help a tiny bit with old acne marks but not enough to warrant paying $70 a session. It did nothing for my melasma either. it was a nice exfoliation though but overall I think this is highly overrated.

Pros:

Works slightly, shrinks some pores.

Cons:

It's really a waste of money. I agree with some of the other people here who've been ripped off. I had 8 sessions of this, which cost me nearly £500 ($1000), and it only made my acne worse. My face was red, parts were bleeding, and I couldn't go out

I think that a chemical peel is a better idea.

Pros:

Made my skin look smoother and more supple.

Cons:

Did nothing for my scarring.

For me, was not an effective treatment for the few pock marks on my face.

Pros:

it got rid of some of my scaring

Cons:

throught out micro i still broke out so it wont help for breakout.

i did noticed a diff within the third session, but i think its important to see a dermtalogist for oral medications as your getting treated b/c the oral med is what helps keep clear, while micro is just helping with scars.

Pros:

Worked great! Cheeks looks smoother.

Cons:

Expensive.

Well, I just had one session last week. My skin looks fabulous! Best thing I've done all year. My pores are quite enlarged and I had red marks on my face from pregnancy (elevated estrogen) and old acne. This leveled out all the pores and made my skin beautiful again. They also did IPL treatment on my redmarks and poof! they were gone instantly. My skin looks beautiful. I've been using BHA and antioxidant moisturizer and after spending the last few days in a heavy Skinceutical's SPF 30 they gave me to use I'm going to continue that regimen to keep the pores clean and healing. Probably won't do it again, since the derm suggested that a salycylic acid peel might help more, so I'm going to do that in a month. I'm also considering (after the peel) going on a prescribed retinoid to change the shape of my pores a bit.

Pros:

No downtime, effective at healing redness, not painful, leaves skin softer.

Cons:

Can be a bit expensive, im finding that it is begining to make my skin a bit worser but my skin specialist said it does take time for maximum results as ive only just started the treatments combined: glycolic peels, omnilux blue(bacteria killer)& red

Try it and stick with it for about 6-8 treatments till u see the results. And get it done by a specialist.

Pros:

Leaves your skin smooth during the treatment

Cons:

Half way through 5 treatments my skin broke out worse than before i started having it but it cleared up at the end of the course, a few months later i was back to square one with mild acne. Does not doing anything with regards to closing pores or a

I payed £27 for five treatments which is not worth it, it is just a massive con that breaks you out in more spots, tbf the only thing that will help your acne are vitamin supplements, don't bother withj this treatment it will just give you false hope.

Pros:

works well with ice pick scars (gradual process) helps rebuild skin

Cons:

takes time i cant say costly as ive done it myslef and persoanlly i think its cheap

what is confusing is that people are still using this WITH acne . of course its gonna flare up your skin you will break the very sensitive skin barrier and make it worse. it would be like doing it to cut. ive done 4 treaments roulghy every 2 weeks it has worked its not a miracle though. its left my skin on my neck red for 3 days now (this is noraml right) when i do a treament the flowing morning i wake with very flat skin but its slightly rough im assuimng this dead skin that i need to take off right or will the skin heal im not sure

Pros:

I had a series of vibradermabrasions (a new microderm without the crystals). I was really impressed with the results. My skin is smooth and it helped reduce my dry skin as well. I am doing a series of 7 spaced 10 days apart. I love it.

Cons:

It costs about $140 a pop! But if you buy a package, they will give you a discount. The money was worth it to me and I would spend it again in heartbeat.

I love vibradermabrasion!. I get them done at a place called forever young day spa in cooper city by a young lady named Yoni. I have gone to many spas, but they are by far the best. They have helped my skin tremendously, and have also improved my self confidence.

Pros:

I got the Origins lemon & rice microdermabrasion cream. It obviously does nothing for inflamatory acne, but in one use it DRAMATICALLY reduced the size of my pores and made my skin texture smoother. in 2 weeks, my whiteheads were gone.

Cons:

doesn't do anything for giant zits

pair this with a antibiotic cream for big zits. the origins microdermabrasion gets rid of the other stuff the zit cream doesnt. it's about $45 for a tub of it that will probably last you a year
