I LOVE this product.
I have mild hormonal acne around my chin only, and I use this to scrub away dry skin after a pimple has popped. It is great for getting rid of dirt and buildup. I don't find it dries out my skin or makes it red at all. It also doesn't make me breakout more. It's great!!

Pros:

- Baby smooth skin!
- Contains salicylic acid
- Removes flakiness like nothing I've ever used
- Seems to control oil and help existing breakouts to disappear
- Helps moisturizer to penetrate better

Cons:

None, except as a beauty therapy student we tend to avoid using granular exfoliants on anyone with acne lesions, so therefore I would only use this if you have light acne.

The best facial scrub I have ever come across. I've used this stuff for over 10 years and I will never stop loving it. It gets the blood flowing and leaves my skin feeling super smooth and clean. I am glad they have formulated a salicylic acid one for oilier skins, as it makes a good addition to my regimen now that I have my acne under control. Tip: Don't go crazy! Rubbing too hard will obviously cause irritation, which in turn can result in breakouts. Another obvious one: don't use it every day. It's a scrub, not a cleanser, which means 2-3 times a week is plenty.

Pros:

-Smells great
-Feels nice on skin
-Works great for my moderate acne; dries everything up fast and removes make-up
-Not expensive

Cons:

-Do not use it too much
-None!

I use the kind with salicylic acid. I have loved this product, but when using it too much, my face breaks out. Other than that it is wonderful. I use it to exfoliate about 4 times a week.

Pros:

scrubs skin well, removes dead skin well. Leaves skin nice and smooth. Great smell.

Cons:

None if used as directions say.

It can over dry, but the directions clearly state to use 3 to 4 times weekly. Not every day, not twice a day, but 3-4 times weekly. If you use it like this, then it will be a great addition to any regeime and will give good results.

Pros:

It cleared me up in like a week.

Cons:

It isn't all gone just little bumps (nothing I can't cover up with makeup).

I have been using this for like 2 weeks now and it is working really well. I get the occasional pimples but nothing out of the ordinary.

Pros:

Leaves skin soft, clean, and blemish free.

Cons:

A little drying, didn't get rid of whiteheads.

I really like this face wash, although it hasn't gotten rid of my whitheads and makes my face a bit dry it still clears up my pimples and makes my face really soft.

Pros:

face is soft, acne cleared, no whiteheads

Cons:

can be drying if used w/ other acne creams, the grains get in eyes easily!

I've used this for about 10 years and it's never failed me. I've tried other washes but keep coming back to this one. Makes your skin real soft, and removes all the flakey skin left over from acne creams. If you use other acne treatments like astringent or spot treatments, stop using them with this wash (it can be overdrying). I find that I don't even need other spot treatments when I use St. Ives scrub, because it works so well alone. Just be sure to get the Medicated bottle, the regular formula doesn't clear acne. And close your eyes real tight when you rinse, when the grains get in your eyes they freakin' hurt! I just pair this with birth control pills (Ortho-Novum or Modicon work the best), and occasionally Retin-A gel .25%
