Stick with it!!!
I cannot stress enough how much you need to stick with this product. Had horrible acne, started the tablets back in July and my skin didn't start to clear up till October/November!! At first actually made my skin worse, almost unbearable to the point where I didn't want to take the tablets anymore, but have gone from having severe acne to clear skin (get about one spot a month now) to clear, scar free skin. Seriously, keep taking the tablets and they'lll (hopefully) sort your skin out!!

How long did it take to actually improve as I've been taking these now for 2 weeks and my spots are worse than ever.

Gutted but hopeful
I'm 38, I had moderate acne as a teenager but was clear by 21. At the age of 27 and started getting massive cysts on me cheeks, and they lasted for months ( I had a couple that lasted over a year). I was given Lymecycline and Differin but I'm impatient so I ditched them and opted for a faster treatment. After spending 1000's on different treatments (N-Light cost a fortune but was crap). Eventually I got fed up and went back onto my prescribed medication, and within a couple of months my spots cleared (I was angry with myself for not giving them more time). I took Lymecycline for about 3 years and gradually eased myself off them, I kept up with Differin but only used it every other day and eventually I stopped (7 years clear). I got the odd tiny pimple but nothing drastic, that was until Christmas 2016. Out of the blue I had a bad breakout (not as bad as before, but enough to effect my confidence) this coincided with me being told I was being made redundant. I'm back on Lymecycline and Differin, but I reckon the main reason why my acne cleared up when I was 30 was because I stopped stressing about it, and I believe the reason it came back was down to stress. So folks, my words of advice is, keep calm, avoid looking in the mirror and try and get a good nights sleep.

Worked So Well
I have been on this drug now for 5 months and it has worked wonders! I used to have moderate/severe acne especially on my cheeks and chin, now my face is virtually clear all of the time with just the occasional spot. It took a while before it really kicked in but since then I have had amazing results. The only problems I have had are bad bloating and quite dry skin but with the results it has given me it's a small price to pay! I would urge anyone who suffers with acne to go to their doctor and try this drug, although it doesn't work for everyone it has done a great job for me and it might for you too.

1month
I've suffered from persistent mild acne since I was 12, I thought it was something that would go away with age, but I'm now 23 and even though I've found methods to break out less, I still have continued to break out regardless. Finally asked my gp for an oral treatment, he gave me Tetrasyl to take once a day. At first my acne wasnt improving, then I started to notice a difference in my skin, which became considerably less oily. One thing I definitely noticed with this is that if I missed my dose by 8 hours for example I'd end up with a break out. So it is definitely something you have to take at the same time each day. Also I didn't really see a noticeable improvement till the 3rd week where I realised I had barely any breakouts. After a month, I am now on lymecylcine 400mg but I have just started so it is difficult to say if my skin will continue to improve. I will definitely post again after another month. One final note, my gp actually said that lymecyline takes a while to see a major difference so definitely stick with it!

Pros:

I have rather severe acne and it helped clear acne from my face. The process is very slow though and you won't really notice the difference until the first month. Also, this tablet will do nothing for acne scars which is what im left with. I'm going to stick on these antibiotics for another two months which is what my doctor reccommended just to make sure It doesn't come back.

Cons:

-They're big tablets.

-Sometimes when you burp or breath you can taste the tablet in your mouth which isn't pleasant.

They don't have any side effects, well at least none that I noticed. It will take some time, so just stick with it.

Great for acne
I've been taking this about four weeks and my breakouts stopped, but the red marks are not fading, which is my biggest problem. I hope the antibiotics do treat the inflamed marks, but there's still plenty of time to see if they are good at eliminating them. But as far as the acne is concerned, I strongly recommend Lymecycline as it's great at removing spots.

Stopped spots from forming
I had cystic acne which was painful, persistent and extremely stubborn. I was put on these tablets and they did help, it takes a while but they did work. I was on them for a considerable amount of time, perhaps just under a year. Doctor recommended coming off them as you're only really supposed to take them for 6 months I hear... I cant think of any complaints about these tablets apart from the fact that they don't really mix well with hormonal tablets, the pill. Antibiotics and hormone tablets can cause yeast problems, but you have to weigh up whether you would rather have nice skin or a few re-occurring problems ladies. For me I wanted skin not covered in spots. Once coming off these tablets I thankfully didn't break out which I was petrified of. I have combination oily skin and apparently these tablets shrink the sebaceous glands... stopping oil production, maybe that is why they worked well.

Pros:

So easy
Works brilliantly

Cons:

Can take a while but it's better than cream personally as th dry and turn to scabs

How this works for you depends on your skin. I have been using for 2 months and my cysts have really gone down and little bumps and lumps don't grow as much. One thing I mus say is to persist, persist please. I don't think it's possible for these to make your skin worsen, maybe it's stress or hormones. Ask the doctor as it is not on the side effects

Pros:

-Works well
-Good for hormonal acne
-not as many "angry spots"

Cons:

-like all antibiotics, can cause side effects
-if you forget to take it, acne comes back

I haven't taken pills for acne before, but my doctor gave me this to try in conjunction with benzoyl peroxide 2.5. My acne has definately got better already, but obviously doesn't help with scars. I have noticed my skin had become very dry, and so has my hair, and also it can upset your stomach until you get used to it. but overall, good thing to try for first medication.

STICK WITH IT
All I can stress is stick with it! I suffer from acne and as I develop more my skin is getting worse. I was prescribed these and for the first 3 months nothing changed which I reported to my dermatologist and then it started kicking in. My skin is a lot better (although I do use a topical cream) but I still suffer. I have been on prescribed medication since I was 10/12, and before that I used Holland and Barretts Evening Primrose Oil, but this is the best thing I've tried.
