LEMON DROPS
lemon on the skin is good once in a blue-moon as it tends to irritate your skin not in a passive way but harshly if you do not use it properly you could go from 3 pimples 12 pimples in a days time! from all the stressing it may cause YOUR SKIN i would recommend diluting it first and start on small areas mostly that are infected as it would kill the bacteria before it spreads to other places on your face, back or shoulders .i do recommend it but to be used with CAUTION

Lemon juice

Pros:

Definitely works
Less redness
Reduces pimple size

Cons:

Dry skin if used too often

Firstly just a bit of background history on my acne. I am 21 years old and never had acne until I was about 19. I have no idea why I started getting it, could be stress , but all I know is it has really started to seriously affect my life! My confidence has completely gone and Im nearly always in a bad mood because I feel so ugly! It has affected many aspects of my life. ANYWAY! I've tried all topical creams possible. I guess we can all agree that they help to calm things down but of course don't completely get rid of acne. I read on here that lemon juice helps so I have it a go. I was really pleased! The first time I put it on, I noticed my skin inflamattion and redness had reduced a lot within half an hour. I rub the lemon directly onto my face, it is quite drying but I guess I'd rather dry skin than oily pimples. I also started to add a cup of fresh lemon juice to 1.25 litre water bottle , but I don't think I did it enough times to notice a change.. It's hard to drink but I really believe cleansing from the inside with Lemon juice would be greatly beneficial too. I rub my face with lemon once every two days and I really believe it helps. I've also started to take bio zinc 3x25mg a day) hopefully ill notice a difference with that too. I also started taking birth control pill yaz about 2 and a half months ago, I am still waiting to see results from that.

Pros:

Works great on "deep" blemishes, blackheads, whiteheads, and scars

Cons:

Stinging/itching for about 5 minutes after applying topically, but very much worth it.

I have tried EVERY treatment I could think of (ProActive, facials, OTC washes, etc etc) and nothing has worked like lemon juice. My Routine: 1. Wash face morning and night with a mild cleanser (I use Dr. Bronner's) 2. Squeeze a wedge of lemon into a small container; dip cotton ball into fresh juice and apply all over face. (Morning and night) 3. Wait 10-15 minutes and rinse. 4. I apply jojoba oil at night, but my skin is VERY oily and it is a bit much for daytime I have been doing this for about a week with AMAZING results. I had hard knots under my skin that I had been trying to get rid of for WEEKS and after one lemon juice treatment, most of them had risen to the surface! Most even popped on their own, and others only needed a gentle squeeze to make their way out. This has helped the overall tone of my skin as well as my daytime oiliness. Lemon does sting more on active blemishes. To me, the sting is well worth the results. After the first few treatments I noticed more bumps on my face, but I kept at it and they were to the surface and easily extracted within a few days. I feel like the lemon juice was drawing out zits I didn't even know I had below the surface. If you can tough out the sting, this is soooo worth it! P.S. The boyfriend had a huge cystic zit by his lip. He dabbed a little lemon juice only on the affected area and that sucker started draining on its own after 2 treatments! After a gentle squeeze, everything was out and the zit was completely deflated.

Well it was ok but i dont recommend using lemon juice as your acne product. natural remedies are great for you, but they dont always do the job.

Pros:

Clears acne and hyperpigmentation caused by acne!

Cons:

Don't think it actually gets rid of pitted scars.

I'm 23 years old and I have light acne (used to be cystic, but that has gone), some hyperpigmentation from past acne and a few ice pick and pitted scars, but nothing too bad. Lemon is great for getting rid of acne and red marks, but I don't think it does anything for scars. I mix up about 3/4 fresh squeezed lemon juice and 1/4 water in a container, and every night after cleansing my face apply this mixture with a cotton ball. Is really good for the skin. Just make sure to wear sunblock. It doesn't really prevent acne but does help treat it.

Pros:

It takes time, but IT WORKS!

Cons:

My main problem is the ITCHING. omg it itches so much, but it feels great after you rinse it off with nice cold/warm (cool) water.
Time.....

Ive been at war with acne for about 4 years now, its been kicking my butt everyone since it attacked me, but now i found a defense. LEMONS! they do work. Ive been using lemons for about 8 days now and all i can say mr dark smudge on my cheek has lightend up and is about to fade away anyday now. My only problem with using lemons is the itching part. oh btw YOU DO BREAK out when you start using it. at least i did. but it wasnt major, just little white heads here and there. in few days they will be gone. Scars on my chin, cheel, jaw. There getting much better. Less RED, but light brown. again ive been only using this for 8 days, i have 23 more days left to eqaul a month (it should only take 1 month to lighten your scars completely) MY WAY: take 1/4 of a lemon (cut it into 4 equal slices) cut that in half, take 1/2 squeeze the juice into a cotton ball. the other 1/2 smeere it over your face. take the juiced up cotton ball and smooth it out over your face. leave on for 10-15 min wash.

Pros:

My face cleared up a lot in just a couple of days.

Cons:

When you first put it on it stings a bit and then it itches for a couple seconds, but it's worth it.

Totally go for it. It's natural and cheap so why not.
