Pros:

Smells great, has an amazing antiseptic and moisturizing effect all at once. Helps clear zits and pimples.

Cons:

Is not the heavy duty pimple fighter I was hoping for but IS effective.

I would recommend trying lavender absolutely. I had severe chin acne and it wasn't the be all solution for me to completely eradicate my problem BUT it did make a huge dent in my mild to moderate acne - i did find the cure for my acne however and that is OIL OF OREGANO. I did however add a few drops of lavender to my bottle of foundation so everytime i put makeup on it smells great and is giving me some gentle acne fighting through the day. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND adding lavender oil to you regime.

Pros:

Reduced redness and pain.

Cons:

It did not decrease the number of new acne lesions.

Acne is an inflammatory disease. Anything that reduces inflammation is not a bad thing. Great cosmetic product, with a lovely aroma.

Pros:

Great smell
Affordable (Compared to many acne products)
Great anti-inflammatory
Noticeable difference in face within the day

Cons:

Don't get in your eyes!
Doesn't seem to help breakouts, just redness

I use lavender oil every day. Especially after the shower or after I finish the last step of my my regimen (moisturizing) to help the redness... It's also a moisturizer which is great, and if you happen to pick (I try so hard not to but sometimes I cave! D:) if you put it on immediately it really helps speed up the healing... This won't help prevent you from breaking out, though. It will only help with dryness from your treatments and redness. I can't say it helps heal old red scars though, it only seems to help with inflamed pimples.

Not a cure, but relieves redness
I love lavender oil. I put a couple drops directly on acne spots at night along with a little tea tree oil. I don't dilute, my skin is tough. It calms the inflammation right down and helps me relax too. It doesn't really keep me from getting acne, but it does calm down the spots I do have.

Pros:

it dried out pimples fast

Cons:

the smell is really strong

I used lavender oil for a few weeks and it works better at drying up pimples than most creams. It also works fast for the most part. The only problem I had with it was the odor. It is very very strong and very hard to deal with. If you have it on people will know and I didn't find the odor so pleasant. I would also be careful using it because of how potent it is. Try it on a small area of your face for a few days before using it all over because you could have a reaction to it. I would give it a try I guess but you will probably find as I have that it will be a pain to use everyday.

Pros:

Numbed the inflammation
Didn't dry out skin
Acne went away

Cons:

Benefits were small, and short-lived after disuse
Smells almost girly, but not too girly

It's cheap enough to supplement a larger acne regimen
