Pros:

Very moisturizing
Gets rid of flaking from BP products

Cons:

Skin doesn't feel as clean
Lotion like consistency, which is weird for a cleanser
Skin feels a little oily after washing off

I have tried a lot of products to control my acne from high school to now, and I am out of college now! My dermatologist told me to apply a BP gel over my skin after washing my face (I used Nuetrogena's Deep Clean Cream Cleanser), and then followed it with a moisturizer. Well that worked wonders! BUT my BP gel was on the verge of being discontinued and the price of it sky rocketed! I was devastated. My skin began to break out like crazy. And then I noticed my Nuetrogena cleanser had gelatin in it and I am vegetarian :( So I had to come up with something that worked for my skin all over again. My husband recommended Proactive. It worked for a month and then after two months my skin had so many clogged pored and blackheads. I was a mess! So then I asked the Walgreens pharmacy what would be a good over the counter BP product that would substitute for my previous BP gel, and they recommended PanOxyl 4% acne wash. So I used it and it was wonderful! BUT the flaking and redness was horrendous I couldn't go out of the house because I looked so terribly dry! So here is where CeraVe came in. I saw a bunch of good reviews and was on the fence about this cleanser and Cetaphil, I didn't know which one to choose. So I just chose this one considering my dermatologist recommended it to me but I didn't really care at that time since I had a good cleanser going on for me. And let me tell you CeraVe got rid of the flakiness in just two days and because it has Hyaluronic Acid in it, it made my skin just the more smoother. I wash my face with this first with my Clarisonic and then with the PanOxyl 4% wash and then I moisturize with Argan Oil. I have seen improvement with this routine day and night. So I hope this is my regimen that I don't ever have to change again!

Pros:

Hydrates
Non irritating
Non drying
Refreshing
No smell
Doesn't leave skin feeling tight

I tried the cerave foaming facial cleanser and didn't like it. I then tried this, and it made all the difference in the world for my flaky, dry skin. I love this cleanser, it's perfection in a bottle. I'm so glad I bought this.

Pros:

-ceramides!
-you can feel it working into your skin
-perfect for dry skin, oily skin, or even combination
-works quickly
-not harsh

Cons:

none!

This cleanser is the absolute best. Cetaphil's cleansers can't even compare to this one! It gives the skin moisture while also not aggravating acne at all, so it is extremely amazing and effective. (P.S. It's cheaper on amazon!)

Pros:

-moisturizes skin without drying

Cons:

-on the pricey side

I've tried many cleansers in my battles with acne. I believe I tried this cleanser after finding DK's cleanser dried my skin a bit too much. This product is interesting in that it has the consistency and appearance of a lotion which I've never seen before in a cleanser. I follow DK's regimen with 2 product substitutions and it seems to work well right now. I use this cleanser, DK's BP, and Cerave's PM lotion in the morning and evening. (The AM lotion with SPF didn't seem to sit well with my skin.)

Pros:

Works!
No Fragrance, Non-Comedogenic

Cons:

Expensive- Around $16 at CVS
Packaging- cannot travel with it

Let me first say that i have very sensitive acne prone skin. This face wash is absolutely amazing for my skin. It does not leave a dry tight feeling that Cetaphil cleanser does. I have not had any breakouts since using (crossing fingers that I won't in the future) I religiously used to use the hydrating cleanser and i feel that this wash removes makeup more effectively and does a thorough cleaning of dirt and sweat. Will continue to be a faithful customer to this brand of skin products.

Pros:

Great for sensitive skin
Great for when starting BPO and your skin is red and dry
Removes makeup well
Generous size and pump amount
Doesn't clog pores

Cons:

Might not be great for the non-sensitive?

I bought this to have on hand while transitioning back to using BPO. It really cleans well but doesn't dry my skin at all, which is good when you are in the tomato red phase of the regimen. It's also nice in the winter. It removes makeup surprisingly well.

Pros:

Great for sensitive skin.
Removes most makeup.

Cons:

It takes a lot of the product to cover my face.
You have to put in some extra muscle to get your makeup off. Kinda pricey.

This cleanser is magic for sensitive skin! It's very gentle and I just got it two days ago and my face feels a lot cleaner and the redness in my face looks like it's clam down =]!

Pros:

-Gentle on sensitive skin. -Hydrates skin extremely well! -Leaves skin soft and fresh looking. -Fights acne and dry skin.

Cons:

None!

This product is amazIng! I've tried everything out there (Cetaphil, Clean and Clear, Oxy, Neutrgena, Etc) and absolutely nothing even compared! This product was introduced to me by my dermatologist and I cant thank him enough! While on accutane, I did not experience dry skin AT ALL, thanks to this product. Also check out the CerVe moisturizer, as these two products work wonders together. Give it a try, you won't regret it!

Pros:

It's gentler than most cleansers
Doesn't dry skin TOO much
Seems to be working decent

Cons:

Takes a lot to cover face

This cleanser is better than any I've tried so far. It does make my skin a little dry, but far less than any other cleanser. It's a solid product, but it hasn't cleared my skin completely.
