Pros:

-Moisturizing properties
-Reduces redness
-Softens skin
-Enhances skin tone
-Suppresses breakouts

Cons:

(Very minute)
-Sticky on face
-Messy to a minor degree

My skin was subdued to excessive and compulsive washing which in turn caused redness, irritation, and dryness. After reading about honey, I decided to give it a go because it was so simple and I just happened to have a jar of honey at home. After the 1st use of honey, my face was unbelievably hydrated, soft, and not flaky. It's been 3 days now I believe and the pigmentation left by my acne is starting to subside slowly. I highly recommend this to anyone with acne as it is natural and possesses highly nutritional factors that apparently aids the skin in terms of health and impurities. I plan to share my continued experiences with honey once I hit the 1-3 week point where I can see more significantly positive results.

Pros:

Leaves skin soft, smoother texture.. takes away irritation

Cons:

A bit sticky and messy, but that's all right

My skin has gotten a little red and raw due to Retin-A cream use.. as expected from the treatment.. so I thought I'll take a break from it to try to reduce the irritation. I read great reviews about the honey mask so I decided to try it. Mixed pure honey with cinnamon and left it on my face for an hour... when I wash it off, the irritation and redness that was caused by the Retin-A was gone.. and my skin feels smooth. All the peeled off skin were washed off.. and my skin's complexion looks better :) I'm going to take a break from Retin-A for 3-4 days before starting it again.. In the mean time, it's the honey mask for me :)

Pros:

Taste, heals acne scars, helps with acne

Cons:

Smell, can be expensive depending on honey purchased, drippy

I, like many other users, was pretty skeptical of using a honey mask. But, after having a bad hormonal break out, I had visions of the number of purple marks that I would be left with for months after the acne healed. So, after doing a pretty extensive search, I decided that honey was worth a try. I ran to the nearest health food store and bought a fairly expensive two-pound jar of raw/organic honey and organic cinnamon and hazlenut, which came out to 30 dollars even (Each of my three prescriptions from my dermatologist costs 75 dollars, so this was a bargain). Let me tell you something; as a caveat, this organic honey ("Really Raw" brand) might taste like honey, but it sure doesn't smell like it--you get used to the smell after about five minutes or less, however. I put about 2 tablespoons of honey, half a teaspoon of both cinnamon and nutmeg, and two tablets of crushed aspirin in a cup, mix it together, then apply it to my face for about at least an hour or until I can't tolerate the dripping from the honey any more. After the first day, I wasn't very impressed. Four days later, though, and I am delighted. The new scars that would have been forming from my recent breakout are nearly gone, and my older ones are slowly disappearing as well, though not as quickly. Also, a new white head that was forming has also subsided and gone away; I'm not sure if that was the honey's doing, but I don't know what else would cause it. If the dripping starts annoying me too much, I literally place a piece of saran rap on the bottom of the chin to catch the drippings before they can fall on my clothes or bed, which they do. A few paper towels on your lap if you're sitting up doesn't hurt, either. I think it's great, and I will continue using it every day until my marks subside completely and perhaps continue using it a few times per week if it continues to help with my breakouts. Consider using this in combination wit

Pros:

Works very well in reducing redness and making skin look a lot brighter. Seems to really reduce the appearance of acne scars.

Cons:

Sticky is the only con.

At first using honey seemed to be ridiculous, but I was so fed up with my acne which has stuck with me for the past few years that I had to give it a try. To y amazement, its been working very well. I know I have only been using it for a week, but I can already see a great change in the appearance of my skin. I would recommend this product to anyone I know with skin problems.

Pros:

feels better than any acne over the counter product, cheap affordable

Cons:

messy

ok, i used this for the first time last night after reaching breaking point with my acne. i left it on my skin for 45 mins. my skin felt very tight after i removed it. today i woke up & my spots were quite sore and a few more had grown over night. the only reason i can think of for this happening is that it cleared out my skin? i will keep trying it though

Pros:

Natural, Raw, Organic, My Skin has a glow to it, Significantly reduced redness, Scars have faded, Tastes yummy!, My skin doesn't itch anymore, My skin is clear!

Cons:

A tiny bit messy but I can deal with that because of the amazing results I've achieved.

I slather Raw, Organic honey on my face whenever I can. I leave it on for as long as I can, until it begins to drip. The results are absolutely amazing. For years I've been so embarrassed and felt so ugly because of my acne but now I feel beautiful. Due to harsh acne products my skin itched like crazy, to the point that I would cry. Since the first day I have used honey as a mask, I have had no more itching and my face becomes more clear as the days pass. I still get some new spots but no more cystic acne. When I do get a small whitehead now I just spot on some honey, leave it overnight, and I'm as good as golden the next day. If you are suffering from acne, try this! It may not work for everyone but I can't stop telling my friends and family about it. My Mom laughs at me because every time she comes home from work she says, "Oh Hi, Honey! There isn't a day goes by that you're not covered in honey!" But then she's always complementing me on my skin now. I love it! Try it!

Pros:

Smooths skin, reduces redness, refreshes, moistens and you end up smelling like the product, which in this case is great! It's alo great to prevent skin aging.

Cons:

You feel tempted to eat the product :)

FOR EVERYTHING THAT'S GOOD AND PURE USE IT. I actually don't se it as a mask or anything, but I use it as a step when I take a shower (it's much easier to apply - apply it to your lips and hair as well) leave it for a few minutes and then rinse. The change is progressive as opposed to overnight, but you can tell the diference since the first time you use it, and the benefits are both short and long term.

Pros:

The best and its natural

Cons:

None that I can think of. Mix it with 1 tsp of cinnamon and it wont be as messy.

Use manuka honey about 5x more expensive then regular honey but works 20x better.

Pros:

Your skin feels wonderful and you see results immediately. Fun . refreshing

Cons:

Messy

I mix honey with ginger and garlic its feels intesting but works well. Also if you put cinnamon in it it slps the smell from the garlic. I love home remedy's. My suggestion to you is find out some different things that are good for your skin like green tea, lemon, and things listed above then start mixing. Everything will have good results on your skin and mak it feel good. I do this all the time now. My skin is looking better and refreshed. :} Have fun I know I am.
