So i tried it too. I just evenly put some honey on my acne and mark - i have been doin this everyday for a week. Some tiny results showin through, I will write an update after a month... Fingers crossed my acne will lessen down

Pros:

-Gets rid of swelling
-Reduces redness
-Cleans pus out of pores
-Halts new breakouts

Cons:

-Hard to clean off
-Messy
-Doesn't totally get rid of acne.

My mom told me to use honey, after all of the medications that I had tried failed to give me the result I had hoped for. Although I didn't see my acne completely go away, the antioxidants in the honey cleaned out the pus in my pores, reduced the redness and swelling, and even stopped new breakouts from occuring. Definately try it because the honey is so much cheaper, more natural and more effective than any of those creams!

Pros:

clears up/soothes acne
makes skin EXTREMELY soft
brightens hyperpigmentation

Cons:

NONE

Bottom line, honey masks are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! I know it can be sticky and messy, but I find that if you wet your face before applying the honey, it isn't so sticky! I also add some cinnamon to my face after I apply the honey because of the health benefits of cinnamon :) I do this every night!!!!! Splash face with warm water, gentle pat excess water off of face, and apply the honey and cinnamon. Absolutely amazing!!! After a week of doing this, I noticed my acne scars were fading and the morning after my cystic acne was as bad :)

Pros:

It makes my pimples go away a LOT faster. Helped to reduce the redness and inflammation as well.

Cons:

It's sticky, and can make a bit of a mess if you're not careful.
Also you probably shouldn't use it if you're allergic to honey.

A few months ago I heard someone mention how good honey had been to there skin. So i decided to do some research. It is well known that honey has strong antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, and actually it has been used as a treatment for wounds and other skin problems for thousands of years... then antibiotics became a big thing. So i started doing a honey mask every week. I it's made my skin quite a bit smoother and softer as well as reducing the amount of pimples i get. Then i decided to try it as a 'spot treatment'. Instead of my pimples taking almost a week to disappear they would be almost fully gone in 3 days!

Pros:

-It helped reduce my acne
-Made my skin softer
-Gave a nice glow to it.

Cons:

-It smells bad ;/
-It makes a mess..

When I first tried the honey mask it helped out a lot, I would do it overnight. Because when i wake up in the morning my skin has this nice glow and it reduced my acne by a lot. My skin was smoother. Except when trying the honey mask over night, it makes a huge mess.. While sleeping you should have a towel on ur pillow, so that when ur laying sideways on ur bed falling asleep, that honey mask stuff will get on the towel not ur pillow or bed. In the morning I washed it off with water, kinda gross, but underneath it left you with beautiful skin. It kinda smells bad and we'll leave that smell on your skin, so I suggest putting a ton of lotion on once u take it off. (: But otherwise it was helpful

Pros:

Honey works wonders to clear inflammed skin. It softens and soothes. I used it after I was crazy broken out after another failed acne treatment. I used honey as a cleanser with the regimen until my order from acne.org came in. It worked great and my acne started to clear even with just the honey cleanser, benzoile peroxide and lotion.

Cons:

It remove deep down dirt.

Great for calming but you need something tougher yet still gentle for acne skin.

Pros:

I am on my third day of this stuff. I can honestly say that it takes down then redness and swelling, lightens scars, and any small pimples in the face.

Cons:

One con only. After applying the honey mask, with a teaspoon of lemon juice my face starts to get red and burn a little. After the mask is washed off, small areas around some acne become like mosquito bites but leave after an hour.

I started using this product with very little hope as with every other medication or home remedy I have tried (in fact, the only motivation I had for trying the honey was from everyone else's post on here). I have had my insurance company pay surprising amounts for medication like Differin, Retin-a-Micro, and other prescription pills and creams along with benzoyl washes from my dermatologist. I would use the medication for a few months and see minor results while also dealing with the burning, itching, and extreme dryness from the medication and chemicals that have to be applied. I'd consider my acne at this stage to be slightly moderate since it changes from week to week amazingly. I have already stated above that this is only my third day and I can see "wow" results. Although this does seem to be working for me, I am also doing the fresh lemon juice remedy from this site also, applied topically on my face at night before I go to bed and leave it on overnight. Raw Honey is best!

Pros:

Totally natural, inexpensive, moisturizing, works!

Cons:

None

I use just a few drops of honey and a touch of cinnamon, and dab the mixture onto my acne as a spot treatment before bed (I wear a head-band to bed to keep my hair from sticking to my face). Each time I use it, I'll wake up the next morning to find that my acne is much, much improved! Gets rid of redness as well. This stuff is great. Try it -- it can't hurt you. If you're skeptical like I was, just try it on a night when you don't have anything planned the next day. Couldn't be happier with honey! Next I think I'll start trying this as a face-mask.
