don't take if you're anemic!!
So I started taking green tea extract supplements and drinking green matcha tea. I did get more energy and I think my boobs grew slightly and I lost about 5lbs in 2 weeks (woo!). BUT no effect on my skin and the second week I started getting dizzy randomly especially when I worked out. I am super anemic and very active so it could be a rare side effect but I Googled it and green tea is actually bad for people with anemia as it prohibits iron circulation. They call it "sleepy blood". Sounds weird but its a real thing and I thought I'd let you all know in case anyone is experiencing the side effect and doesn't know what it's from. Good luck! And don't forget- you're beautiful :)

All tea is bad for anemia because it inhibits iron absorption. From the studies I looked at it appears to be okay to drink tea as an anemic as long as you don't drink within an hour (before or after) of eating or taking a supplement! Severe anemics should monitor closely, though, and stop drinking tea if they experience any issues.

GOOD! (That's what I thought)
Hi! I started to take this thing because I read the whole 500 reviews or at least the positive ones, Im takin 3-4 cups a day , Its only been 3 days, I know is a short time but I haven't break out since I started, I read this thing could regulate the dopamine and control stress, I have dermatillomania because my axiety, I've notice after taking the cup of tea I feel with more energy but without axiety, I'm not touching my face anymore, or at leat I'm more conscious about it, so this ting is really good for me, tonight I'm gonna try mix tea with oats to make a facial mask to fade marks, I will update how everything is going. Sorry about my english Im not an english native speaker, please correct me if I've made mistakes :) UPDATE:Haha it's funny I said wonders about this Jajaja after a week or two taking green tea it caused the worst break out I,ve had in years, this thing resulted really bad for me, as soon as I stoped taking this my skin went back to normal

Green tea is good, but not good enough to treat acne on its own
I love green tea and drink at least a cup everyday. Green tea is packed with antioxidants and is great for overall body health. However, I am doubtful that green tea alone can erase your acne completely. I drink green tea everyday and still suffer from cystic acne on my chest and back, as well as some moderately severe acne on my face and neck. I recommend drinking green tea, just not as an acne fighting medicine.

Pros:

There probably some health benefit taking it internally, though I haven't really noticed a difference in my acne.

Cons:

Causes swelling of the eyes after 1 week.
Can cause skin irritation after a couple weeks.

This is for reviewing green tea as a topical: Using green tea topically didn't really help me. I purchased Organic 100% matcha green tea from Whole Foods and applied a tablespoon of fresh brew everyday for approx 3 weeks. After the first week, my eyes became really puffy, so I was careful not to get green tea in my eyes. After the 2nd week, I noticed parts of my cheeks are temple were getting increasingly red and irritated. Near the end of the 2nd week, I discontinued use due to the increasing irritation and the appearance of dead skin around my temple. During this entire experiment my acne worsened slightly.

Pros:

Easy to Make

Cons:

Didn't do a thing for acne
Taste is Blah

So i tried this in summer 2011 for my acne and i was sure to drink multiple cups a day for a few weeks. Outcome - did nada for my acne. Green tea is supposed to be good for your body none the less but don't bank on it to 'cure' or 'control' your acne. Also tried this as a topical and it irritated my skin beyond belief.

Pros:

-I felt good about myself while drinking it?

Cons:

-It has a really weird taste, unless you mix it with something, which defeats the purpose.
-It didn't really seem to work.

Alright, I was expecting a miracle. I'm on this whole natural approach so I figured tea would be ideal. WRONG. It does nothing. I drink it like it's my job and I rub the bag on my face at night. Nothing :( But feel free to give it a go!

Pros:

-its good for our health
-energizer

Cons:

-the taste
-it made my skin OILY like hell
-breakouts are there
-it can't help your acne at all

i am 20 and i have PCOS. i felt so bad after using this LIPTON TEA. i started drinking it last Sunday after reading GOOD reviews about green tea. they said that it has fast result and it will help you with your acne. at first it was okay and very refreshing. but an hour after, i noticed that my face is starting to become more oily. but at the back of my mind, i just thought that maybe its normal, so i continue using it. i drank 4 cups the same day, and i even made it as a facial mask and the tea bag as toner. the 2nd day, everything is fine, aside from the feeling that there is like stinging on your face.. the 3rd day, i was so shocked and felt like crying after seeing my face with new breakouts, my acne are so angry, and its painful... my face got even WORST LIKE HELL! so i stopped drinkin it. so now im suffering! :( help :(

Pros:

nothing

Cons:

I think it made my acne slightly worse

Drank 3 cups a day. No improvement at all. These reviews on this site have to be bullsh*t because I'm trying all the home remedies and none of them work.
