Pros:

clears up skin like nothing else!

Drink and Use ONLY Decaffeinated Green Tea! Caffeine will make it all worse!

Cons:

when you sweat a lot, you sweat green on your face. so I wDuld say don't use it if you are planning on going dancing that night.

I am 24 years old. I have now had acne for over a decade. This is amazing. I have tried EVERYTHING, and nothing ever consistently worked. This does. I haven't tried drinking it yet, but I brew the tea, and splash my face with it. Then I rub the tea bag gently over any acne. I let the tea soak in. Then I use a light face moisturizer, to prevent flaky skin. This works very well. I am really excited to start drinking it as well- I read some reviews, and that is supposed to work great! So doing both should take care of it for good.

Pros:

Inexpensive. Good for your health.

Cons:

The caffeine may not agree with everyone. Not convinced that it will clear acne.

I'm not sure what to make of the many glowing reviews. I'm 25 and have mild but stubbern acne and have been drinking green tea everyday for at least 4 years. I actually drink both green tea and white tea (about 4 cups a day) which is supposed to have higher antioxident levels then green tea. I also brew the tea (organic) using the dry tea leaves not tea bags to maximise the antioxident levels i'm getting, however i have not found that it makes any diference to my acne or skin. Recently i gave up drinking it for a good 6 weeks and my acne is actually better, though it's probrably just a coincidence, acne has a mind of it's own, to be honest i've no idea what to think anymore...maybe i should try the tea bags on the face thing.

Pros:

Healthy
Natural
Tasty sometimes
Cheap
Soothing

Cons:

It didn't show a huge improvement for me BUT::

I drink atleast a cup a day and sometimes I actually use the leaves on my face but neither seem to clear it up to make a difference but there are things i like about it and recommend because I know that it does work for some people. First of all I have no idea about the caffine or no caffine thing, I would recomment just buying it as organic as possible though but really I don't have a clue. I don't recomment adding anything to it except POSSIBLY fresh lemon juice, because it can also be good for you and is less likely to mess up the tea. uhmm oh yeah and if as for the antiinflamitory properties of it, i believe it does shrink the size of a bump or cyst so that's a good one, but as for the removing of reddness it didn't work for me, but all these are possibilities :)

Pros:

so much cheaper than other skin products, it works awesome

Cons:

can't think of one

I drink about 3 to 6 cups of green tea a day and have been for about two weeks, and it totally cleared up my acne and I had it fairly bad with some scaring. Worrying about your acne WILL make it worse, also I believe your diet plays a much larger role than anything you can apply to your skin. If you have bad acne I would recommend cutting fast food, milk products and sweets out of your diet as much as possible. Also cut down on the red meat and meat altogether for that matter, and try one of those two week detox kits. That's my reciped for clearing up my acne. Remember what acne is, all that gross sh*t you're eating being expelled from your body through your skin. Also I would recommend Neo Strata face wash, moisterizer and toner, but it is expensive, if you can't afford them start off with just the moisterizer, if you're like me you'd like cheat and STEAL (from large corporations) to have better skin, much love peace out

Pros:

Green tea is a great antioxidant as you all know. I drink Green tea once a day and it really helps. However in regards to acne in order to affect it I personally think that you have to drink a respectable amount (3-4 cups a day).

Cons:

Thank you for sharing your experiences, I believe it is really important to speak your truth to help people move forward. Thank you

By the way always buy the Decaff, a little pricy but better than worsing the situation with caffeine.

Pros:

Tastes fairly good and is good for your overall health

Cons:

Takes some time to prepare/wait for it to cool down and does nothing for acne

I'm a 20 years old guy with acne. I drank 3 cups of green tea per day, before every meal, mixed with a bit of sugar, for 1 week. I also applied once or twice a day the tea bag on my face. It did quite literally nothing for my acne. My advice is to not waste your time on home remedies since as the site says, they're largely ineffective. I tried it for like 10 days, but it's probably enough to see if it works or not.

Pros:

Full of antioxidants, refreshing, healthy.

Cons:

An acquired taste (takes some getting used to). Does not assist in the clearing of acne in my opinion.

I have been drinking multiple cups of green tea daily for about 4 years due to its health benefits. Going more than a day without it makes me irritable and bloated, most likely because it contains caffeine and has detoxing properties. I am yet to apply it topically as other people have recommended on here, but I will. Drinking it does not seem to improve my acne at all, though I can't be sure as I have never gone for a long period of time without it anyway.
