A drink for each evening
Hi everyone! I'd like to stress how important organic green tea has been to me throughout the years. My acne was always extremely persistent (although thankfully gone now, due to the Acne.org products) and I relied heavily on green tea masks, as well as the drink to reduce inflammation and redness (which helped me greatly actually, but never cleared my skin completely). Green tea incorporated with a healthy diet is very beneficial to the body as it acts as an antioxidant, ridding your body of toxins. I believe (pardon me if this is incorrect) the Chinese (Japanese perhaps) have the tradition of drinking up to 6 cups of green tea a day. It's largely valued as a beauty and health product in many, many cultures. Personally, I aim to drink three or four cups each day.. morning, noon and night. I find it to be a lovely beverage. No harm in trying it for yourselves! Best wishes.

Pros:

Works
Good for other things besides acne

I drink a thermos full a day, using 2 teabags to brew. I am also using a bar soap on my face by Kiss My Face with olive oil and honey and no detergents. A few times a week I put on a mask of raw organic honey. My skin looks great, no breakouts, it is soft, and scars are much lighter. I have so many half used acids, peroxides, and other harsh cleaners and nothing worked except this. I got 100 tea bags for $5 so its very cheap, It didn't work at all topically but works great internally.

Pros:

-Skin much more bright
-Effects visible quickly
-Natural product, no chemicals
-Very effective

Cons:

-None

Okay... green tea could be called "if I'd known sooner...". Wow, probably the most effective I've tried on my skin and god knows it's not the first! I've been struggling with non-healthy skin for over 6 years and now this could be considered as a miracle. The taste isn't that bad (of course, if you already like the taste of the tea) and it's good for the health! You have nothing to lose! It's been over a week and I can already throw my make up away (or almost). How do I use it: I drink one cup of green tea (the usual one with small bags) - let it infuse approximately 2 minutes - take out the bag and cool it under cool water in order to not burn your skin - slide it smoothly on your skin - Approach your face from your cup (the steam will open your pores) -Apply your cream ( I use benzanoil) -Enjoy your tea (it won't be hot any more ;)

Pros:

hydrates and plumps the skin when drunk often enough; detoxifying; cleansing, stimulating.

Cons:

it can be an acquired taste

Green Tea is healthier for you than normal black tea or coffee, so when you are craving a hot drink just plump for the green, and you will see the benefits if you stick with it. Once you get in a routine of having one in the morning, one at lunch and one in the evening you will noticeably start to feel more energized on a daily basis. you can drink green tea cold and it's lovely and refreshing, just add hot water to 2 teabags in a plastic jug, add some honey and a tiny bit of fresh lime, stir rigorously. Then take the teabags out after a couple of minutes. let it cool down before popping it in the fridge for a couple of hours (or whack it in the freezer for half an hour) and when it's sufficiently cold, give it a stir before popping into a glass to drink. I like to use a litre jug- that way i get about 3 glasses worth. combine this with a healthy diet, lots of water, and you will defo notice your skin looks and feels a hell of a lot nicer. Just remember to keep it up!

Pros:

Clears up skin, tastes great, makes you feel great, energy without crashing, good for your whole body.

Cons:

Makes you pee a lot.

I love Green Tea. When I gave up coffee for a multitude of reasons, I replaced it with green tea, and never regretted it. It tastes great-if you're having trouble with the flavor, your brew is too strong. One tea bag lasts a while and prevents you from overloading on caffine. I had a wierd situation. I have nice soft, fair skin but I got these random huge zits all the time, at least five at a time, often more. Not even tiny things that are easy to cover, but big monsters. When I started drinking green tea, they improved a lot, but I was drinking a cheap brand of it. When I switched to Celestial Seasoning's brand, they cleared right up. Plus, CS tastes a lot better and has vitamin C, A, and E in it. I am in love with this tea! Try it, it benefits the whole body. It's worth it :)

Pros:

evens skin tone and overall complexion, helps to eradicate acne!

Cons:

you need to drink quite a lot, so you'll find yourself running to the toilet often!

i'm half japanese, so tea has always been a big part of my diet and identity! i did however go through a bit of a stage where i didn't drink any tea for some reason, and broke out in intensely painful spots! i've always had nice skin, and a good complexion so it was kinda acary! green tea is so inexpensive these days, get yourself to a chinese supermarket and you can get a large quantity for half the price of what you'll find on the high street or in supermarkets, and there are so many vareities, and so many flavours it can boggle your mind! in Japan, people swear by green tea as a health supplement, and people rarely get skin problems like they do over here! this method works great for nice skin, but you do have to commit to it and adjust your diet to accomodate drinking lots of tea!! it's not a quick fix!!!

Pros:

cheap (doesn't cost much to give it a try), easy to implement into daily routine, host of other health benefits attributed to product

Cons:

I personally quite like the taste of green tea, but some do not... so the only con I can think of is if you don't like the taste of it.

I have had problem skin since I was 13 years old and I have tried EVERYTHING (all the over the counter products in existance, proactive, antibiotics, the birth control pill etc etc etc). My acne is mild-moderate so my doctor decided I was not a candidate for Accutane, which from some of the reviews I have heard is a good thing! I'm in my 20s now, and although my skin has calmed down, it is far from perfect. Starting my first full time job, I needed a quick caffine fix in the mornings and I don't drink coffee... so I went to the common cafeteria and stumbled upon green tea and decided to drink it for no other reason then I needed caffine. Well, the results that I have seen in the past month are incredible! My existing breakouts have really cleared up, and no new ones have emerged. I still have some markings, but the redness and swelling of the spots has much improved making it easier to cover with make-up-- i even felt confident enough to go without coverup a few mornings!

Green tea is a great acne treatment. I recommend rubbing your face with the teabag after drinking. It has helped my face a lot and I hope it does the same to yours:)
