A simple, trustworthy, gentle cleanser to a good price!
I've used Cetaphil gentle cleanser for about 3 months and before I used really expensive medical cleansing products that I bought from a skin therapist. This is sooo much cheaper and to be honest better too. I like the texture, it feels good on my skin and leaves the skin very neutral. Doesn't make it dry, stiff or oily. This product (in combination with Epiduo) made my skin so much better. It is gentle and simple, and I think that's the best recipe for better skincare. I will keep using this.

Pros:

+ Cleanses skin gently
+ Scent isn't overbearingly horrid
+ Doesn't dry out skin and can use with water or without. Also great for sensitive skin

Cons:

+ Doesn't clean makeup off well

This isn't a cleanser to aid in the prevention of acne, it simply is a GENTLE CLEANSER. Though Cetaphil does what it claims to do, it isn't the best for cleaning makeup off with and you would need to wash your face and use it at least a few times before makeup is almost entirely removed. Overall I have to say that Cetaphil by far is one of the best cleansers I have used and comes at a very decent price (Tried cleansers ranging in prices from around $50 to $7 and Cetaphil is definitely one of the best). Love how it doesn't clog my pores as that is the major problem with my skin.

The best. :)
The best gentle cleanser in the market for sensitive acne prone skin. My only problem with it was the price. Quite expensive tho, because im only a student. Anyway dare to Try it! :) it really calms down and gently clean the face without drying or stripping the natural oils. I pair this with ponds cold cream cleanser. :)

Pros:

So gentle and leaves my skin feeling soft.

Cons:

None

I have been using this cleanser and the mosturizer for bout 2wks and so far I love it. The mosturizer looks like its greasy but its not and it really has helped with my super dry skin that was flaking. I love how gentle it is and thats the very reason I bought it. I used proactive for only 2 days and I suffered. It burned my skin where it would hurt to touch it and made my acne worse. My skin was so sensitive to the touch but cetaphill didn't hurt it and helped it feel better after 2days.

So gentle for acneic skin
I find this a lovely cleanser for my face. It doesn't dry out my skin like so many face washes do and it even leaves my skin feeling a bit moisturized while using certain drying acne treatments. Inexpensive, easy to find, and effective.

Pros:

- extra gentle
- lasts forever (1L bottle can easily last upwards of 3 months)
- unscented (for sensitive, easily irritated skin)
- removes most make up effectively (except for long-wear foundation and waterproof mascara)

Cons:

- does not clear acne on it's own
- must use an exfoliant and acne treatment in addition to it
- wish it would remove all make up completely, but this is what eye make up removers are for

Many people complain that this cleanser does not clear up acne on it's own. Since Cetaphil doesn't contain any acne fighting ingredients, this can only be expected. What Cetaphil does contain however is gentle, soothing ingredients which won't further irritate sensitive, acne prone skin. During the summer months, I can use whatever cleanser I want and I don't need to worry about dryness. However, in the winter my skin becomes incredibly dry and flaky. Cetaphil is the perfect answer to dry/sensitive winter skin issues. While it won't clear skin on its own, Cetaphil is a great cleanser for your entire acne fighting regime. I use this cleanser, salicylic acid cleansing pads (Such as Oxy or Clearasil, which are better than cleansers with salicylic acid, since they leave the acne fighting medicine on the skin, giving it a chance to work), followed by Cetaphil's rich moisturising cream at night, and Neutrogenia Oil-Free Moisturizer with SPF in the morning. If I have larger pimples, I use a BP spot treatment. This combo is great, and keeps my skin perfectly balanced and healthy (not red and irritated)!

Pros:

- Gentle
- Gets the job done
- Doesn't break you out
- Non-comedogenic

Cons:

- The price,
I bought a 250ml bottle of it for $12.00 because I wasn't sure if it was going to work or not. The bottle that was the largest size, which I will be buying when I'm done with this bottle, was $16.00 which is a bit painful to buy for a facial cleanser. But It gets the job done.
- It lathers up really well, for me anyway, but the lather feels awkward.

I would recommend this product for anyone with acne. I just use this, benzoyl peroxide then I moisturize and my acne has been clearing up really well.

Good for Winter
I have used this product but I can only use it in the winter when my is drier. I like the consistency and it makes my skin soft but not sure how clean it is getting. I also don't think it removes my make-up very well. Overall I like it but can only use it seasonally.
