Pros:

Clear gel; pump bottle with lock for travel.

Cons:

Not good to remove makeup. I use HSN's Signature Club A Meltdown for that. It's the best.

Reccommended by my dermatolgist for after laser and every day for rosacea.

Pros:

Very gental, helped clear my skin in a matter of a week or so. Large containers can be found at almost any drug/retail store including Costco and it's inexpensive.

Cons:

none

After using Proactive for years, I switched to Cetaphil. After about 2 weeks of use, I threw out my Proactive. I have used Cetaphil for over a year. It has saved me hundreds of dollars and my skin has never been better.

Pros:

Gentle, non-irritating, effective, leaves skin feeling clean and soft, not tight and dried out. Good for post-acne sufferers and those with sensitive skin. Smells very clean and fresh.

Cons:

Can help with, but does not eliminate acne lesions. Expensive.

It's undeniably the best facial cleaner for people AFTER your major problems with acne have been solved. I found that many other facial cleaners were too harsh after my acne was gone, and actually made it just come back. This product will reduce minor acne, and makes your skin feel awesome, with no irritation or dryness. However, if you suffer from a sudden breakout of more severe acne, it will not be as effective. It is pricey, but worth it.

Pros:

Gentle, leaves my skin feeling clean and soft.

Cons:

None!

Check this out you guys!!! I found a walgreens version with EXACTLY the same ingredients as the cetaphil product, $5.99 but buy one get one free right now at walgreens. The lotion is also BOGO and $4.99 I think it was. I have been using these products in conjunction with a 2% BP gel by clean and clear (which I also got at walgreens) .75 oz for $4.99. This stuff is GREAT! No stinging or discomfort at all. It has aloe and chamomile in it so its super gentle on your skin and works awesome. I have been using this regimen for only 4 days and already my skin looks clearer, scars and red marks are going away, pimples that had started before treatment are getting smaller with every treatment. And this is RIGHT after my monthly cycle (I usually have the WORST breakouts right now.) NO new pimples have showed up at all. Price shown below is all the products totaled up. I bought one extra BP tube so I could have one set at home and one set at my boyfriends house, so this price is for one se

Pros:

Gentle, fragrance free, and cheap. It's available in almost any store that carries hygiene products, and best of all, generic brands are available with the exact SAME active ingredients, for half the cost!!!

Cons:

No lather, but once you get used to that, it's all good!!! In fact, once you get used to it, lather feels weird.

Use it!! You won't be disappointed. I've been a faithful Cetaphil consumer (who has battled nodular & cystic acne) for at least 5 years. I have tried all of the different Cetaphil cleansers and soap bars. My favorite is the "gentle skin cleanser". I use the Cetaphil moisturizer as well (I have not found a genric for that). It has SPF of 15. I also add Neutrogena sunscreen that contains SPF of 45. I have not been sunburn on my face in many years. THANK YOU CETAPHIL!!!!

Pros:

Cheap, gentle, works well. Keeps my face clear but also believe it has helped prevent wrinkles.

Cons:

I would prefer a lather but once I got used to it I was fine.

After fighting acne for 25 years I have tried it all. Every dermatologist I have ever seen recommends this product and every time I try something new I end up coming back to this. My face is clearer, my wallet is happier, and even though I am in my late 30's I don't have any wrinkles. It's hard to beat. I did try the oily skin version but found this one kept my skin clearer.

Pros:

This is a pretty good product, um have been using it for a while after looking at it here. I used to sue Clearasil but that was over drying my face way too much this barely dries it at all but feels ok.

Cons:

I would say this is too gentle as well. I just saw they came out with one for normal to oily skin which I may try to see if it drys a bit more but to jsut get your pores clean this will do it. DOnt use it expecting your face to be all dry and hard it

I would get it. If you have oily skin you might want to try the oily skin version and see if ti works.

Pros:

Very gentle on the skin; never leaves my skin feeling dried out; I love the pump bottle.

Cons:

Have to wash my face twice each time when I'm wearing makeup because it won't remove it after just the first pump. Also I need to follow up with a toner after just to make sure I get all the makeup and dead skin cells off.

I would recommend this cleanser to anyone who has problems with feeling super dried out after washing their skin. I've tried many different kinds of cleansers, this one is my favorite. Best to follow it up with Cetaphil moisturizer as well.
