Pros:

Very affordable and accessible

Cons:

Doesn't foam, but I just use a few more pumps than necessary to get a thick coat on my face.

I've had cystic acne since I was 20 years old. Over the past 5 years I've done everything under the sun from using OTC benzol peroxide, organic methods like tea tree oil, birth control, microdermabrasion, several forms of antibiotics, Retin A, Tazorac and FINALLY Accutane. Accutane was a short lived success and my acne returned, though milder. I had spent thousands on visiting dermatologists and I could not afford any new treatments. I decided to try Cetaphil & I wish I had done this before. The non foaming characteristic was always a deterrent for me, but now I just use more of the wash to get the thick feeling I want on my skin. I haven't had any cystic acne for almost two months now. All the previous treatments had me stuck in a sick cycle of drying out my skin, so my sebum glands were over producing oil thus causing breakouts. Now I'm spending a fraction of what I used to and I won't be stepping into a derm's office until I save money for scar treatment! I love Cetaphil.

Pros:

Very Gentle, no irritation. Easy to use and can find the product anywhere.

Cons:

None

I am 38 and have used the product for 20 years. A friend, who had clear skin, recommended it to me. I didn't believe this gentle product would keep my face clear, but it has. I was plagued with acne in my teens and wish I had known about Cetaphil before. My 13 year old son, who has had acne for about a year, started using it last week and his face is almost completely clear. I didn't realize that the typical acne cleanser was causing the irritation and acne. He had been using the Neutrogena On the Spot for a year, because it is the least strong benzoyl peroxide product out there. Thumbs up for Cetaphil!!! I do use store brands also and have found them just as good...

Great Gentle Cleanser!
I have severe Cystic jawline Acne, many soaps and so called Acne Cleanser just made my acne worse, then I finally found Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and WOW! No irritation left behind at all! It won't cure acne, but it will help prevent new acne, while soothing the skin, oppose to attacking it. A must buy for somebody looking for a nice gentle cleanser for their face.

BEST WASH EVER!!!!!!

Pros:

Gentle
Soft Scent
Helped with my acne

Cons:

NONE!!!!!

I suffer from very bad acne and semi oily skin . I have used every kind of face wash Clearasil, Neutrogena, Clean and clear, oxy, and Proactive. Nothing worked it made me brake out even more plus gave my cyst acne as well. My mom told me to try this face wash and I fell in love!!! This is the best wash I have ever used!! It didn't make my acne totally gone but it made it 80% better with use of a cream given to me by my doctor. I will never use any other face wash again!!!

I was looking for a new facial cleanser cause I had just ran out well I came across a travel size bottle of Cetaphil and decided for .97 what harm could it do trying and that's the thing there was no harm it cleared my face up the next day! It's so gentle I can use it 3 times a day because sometimes after work I feel like my face is so oily I like that I can use it unlimited times.

Pros:

Cleans well
Non-irritating
Removes oil

I really like this cleanser! I first started using this product back when my acne was bad...since I have sensitive skin, using face washes with salacylic acid or benzoyl peroxide along with other products was freaking it out. I figured that my oil T zone was the cause for my acne and went to find a cleanser that was oily/normal/sensitive skin; my answer has been Cetaphil. Even now that my acne is gone, I sill use it as my face wash. Now keep in mind THIS PRODUCT ALONE WILL NOT CLEAR YORU ACNE. However, it will really help with the process. Give it a try! (P.S. There are different ones for different skin types (oily, normal, dry etc.) so make sure you pick the right one!)

Pros:

clears acne
feels soft on your skin
doesnt leave skin super dry
the bottle last a long time
cheap
cleared face and back and chest acne
doesnt make face oily
gentle on skin
doesnt make face red
keeps your face moisturized
night and day use

Cons:

doesnt foam
takes a while to clear acne (but still clears)

I had really bad acne and i was f*** up my face with all these products that was just making my face worse. Then 3 weeks before summer ended i started using cetaphil! it took a while to start to clear up, but the first thing i noticed was no redness and the pimples had gone down ALOT. Then i finally got an appointment into the dermatologist and they told me i had clogged pores and to use Oxy 5. That worked really well, but my face was super dry! i also have a pill to take morning and night and then a gel for the morning and a gel at night (two diffrent ones) so my face cleared up very fast, but my face was supper dry and it stung to put moisturizer on even if i packed it on the night before. Then all the moisturizer made my face break out even worse, so the dermatologist said to go back on cetaphil and still use the gels and have both the pills when i got home from school. and its been 2 weeks now and my face is almost perfect. It would have been better =, but i picked at my pimples. So i reccomened this and to go to a dermatologist if your parents will let you! good luck!!! <3
