I get this when I forget to reorder the Acne.org face wash
This is just a basic wash for sensitive skin. No sent, color, fancy stuff, Its not expensive, and its easy to find. It foams up nice. However, i gave it four stars because its not great at removing makeup. You will have to lather up twice if you have anything like makeup on.

I've used this for years and agree with the no scent benefit. They have changed the formula and now there is a strong fragrance which I'm super disappointed with.

Pros:

Cleans thoroughly
Doesn't clog pores
Leaves skin smooth
Gentle/unabrasive on skin

Cons:

May be drying

I tried this for about a week and didn't like it at all, but I think it was because I was using benzoyl and this, which dried out my skin like crazy. I have stopped using benzoyl and all medications since I am on a natural regime now. (Got tired of chemicals messing up the face and not working). I started using purpose again and it has been working great the second time around. I use two pumps and rub them into a lather before I apply it on my face. I also use salt water to wash my face at least 3 days out of the week. This has helped considerable along with the other natural products I've been using.

Pros:

-You can be sure that it won't clog pores or aggravate acne
-Fragrance and die free
-Non irritating
-Easily removes dirt, oil, and makeup
-Inexpensive

Cons:

-May be too drying for extremely sensitive skin
-Can be a bit hard to rinse off

I recently switched to this after using Cetaphil for several months. I prefer Purpose because it's definitely non-comedogenic, (Cetaphil is pretty rich and not-oil free and I'm pretty convinced that it does actually clog my huge pores.) This will be the only cleanser I'll use from now on.

Pros:

+Gentle
+Simple Cleanser

Cons:

-Contains Sodium Laureth Sulfate
-Can leave skin a bit dry.

I've used this cleanser for a little bit. It's very gentle for my sensitive skin. It hasn't, however, cleared my acne or made a significant improvement.

Pros:

affordable, gentle, clean scent, removes light foundation, attractive packaging, no false rays of marketing-induced hope (helloooo every $35 cleanser at sephora that promised me THE BEST SKIN OF MY LIFE FOREVER)

Cons:

occasionally leaves my face tighter than I'd like, but whatever.

I use this in conjunction with the regimen's 2.5% bp treatment and a fancy pants antioxidant-filled moisturizer. This lineup has worked quite well for me. Before I started the regimen a few months ago, I went from having red, inflamed under-the-skin pimples all over my chin + inflammatory blockages and whiteheads on my cheeks to clear, balanced skin with only ~2 pimples right before my monthly lady fun times. It probably wouldn't clear acne on its own, but if you're using a gentle bp treatment and a good moisturizer, hopefully it will work as well for you as it has for me. caveat 1: I do find that it dries out my dryness-prone areas a little after I take a really hot shower (not my fault - my shower alternates between glacial runoff and scalding hell water). not so much in the morning when I use the sink. caveat 2: I do find its nice to OCCASIONALLY use a gentle exfoliating wash (e.g. salicylic acid wash) in place of this, since this is so gentle it doesn't always get rid of that dead skin buildup that can happen near a healing pimple (I know you know exactly what I'm talking about). bp can make your skin flake, and yes, exfoliants can be irritating, but used sparingly I think it's nice to get rid of that dead skin buildup. Helps the bp and moisturizer absorb better and makes the skin tone more even. For me at least. Just sayin.

Pros:

Cleans skin well
Smells clean
Gentle
Pump

Cons:

A little drying
Foaming (if you don't like it)

I only tried this cleanser while I was on Accutane. I didn't have super dry skin except around my nose, but this seemed to just dry me out too much. If you have normal or oily skin, it would probably be great. It is very gentle, has a clean smell, and my skin feels clean afterwards, just dry.
