Pros:

good lather, convenient pump packaging

Cons:

irritated my face, excessive peeling and irritation

this contains sodium laureth sulfate! sls is the major skin irritant that is out there, no wonder they don't put their ingredients on the bottle, if it's too good to be true...it is!

Pros:

leaves skin clean and soft. it's very gentle. takes off makeup. smells nice.

Cons:

it doesn't clear up acne, but it most definitely does not make it worse.

It's a nice basic cleanser. I personally like it better than Cetaphil, because It's more gentle. I use it every morning and night followed by Olay Complete All Day Moisturizer. As a result, my skin is perfectly smooth and soft. I believe that the less ingredients a product has, the better. I've been using the Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash for a few months and it keeps my skin clean and soft. My brother uses it as well, and he says that it's the only cleanser that does not irritate his sensitive skin.

Pros:

Works very well, it keeps my face feeling cleaned and does not try out my face, helps reduce my acnes.

Cons:

Sometimes buying from diffrent drugstore or market store, it comes in diffrent colors, which kinda dosn't give me a good mind, rather they are selling me a bad product.

I was breaking out, then i got recomended to use nuetrogena oil free acne wash and i broked out even more. so im planing to go back and use my purpose face wash which didn't make my face break out as much as other face wash

Changed the formula?
I've used this product since 2006 and its worked just fine for cleaning my face and I've never had any problems with it. Until this year, it started causing red blotchy spots on my face. My forehead would breakout into rash like bumps and it would itch pretty badly. I never thought it would be the face wash as I've used it for years. Once I eliminated this from my regimen my face cleared up and the rash/redness went away. I'm not sure if my skin changed, the formula changed or the combination of this and BP is linked to the symptoms? - which is always possible. I've noticed others stating breakouts, rashes and redness from this as well in their reviews, so its just not me.

Pros:

Gentle
Not overly drying
Works well with acne medication
Affordable

Cons:

None, really

This is a great face wash to use while you're on an acne medication. Chances are, it won't react with any of the ingredients in your acne medication, and it won't dry out your skin.

Pros:

affordable, gentle, clean scent, removes light foundation, attractive packaging, no false rays of marketing-induced hope (helloooo every $35 cleanser at sephora that promised me THE BEST SKIN OF MY LIFE FOREVER)

Cons:

occasionally leaves my face tighter than I'd like, but whatever.

I use this in conjunction with the regimen's 2.5% bp treatment and a fancy pants antioxidant-filled moisturizer. This lineup has worked quite well for me. Before I started the regimen a few months ago, I went from having red, inflamed under-the-skin pimples all over my chin + inflammatory blockages and whiteheads on my cheeks to clear, balanced skin with only ~2 pimples right before my monthly lady fun times. It probably wouldn't clear acne on its own, but if you're using a gentle bp treatment and a good moisturizer, hopefully it will work as well for you as it has for me. caveat 1: I do find that it dries out my dryness-prone areas a little after I take a really hot shower (not my fault - my shower alternates between glacial runoff and scalding hell water). not so much in the morning when I use the sink. caveat 2: I do find its nice to OCCASIONALLY use a gentle exfoliating wash (e.g. salicylic acid wash) in place of this, since this is so gentle it doesn't always get rid of that dead skin buildup that can happen near a healing pimple (I know you know exactly what I'm talking about). bp can make your skin flake, and yes, exfoliants can be irritating, but used sparingly I think it's nice to get rid of that dead skin buildup. Helps the bp and moisturizer absorb better and makes the skin tone more even. For me at least. Just sayin.

Pros:

This cleanser is very gentle, especially to sensitive skin. I tried other cleansers that claim to clear breakouts and redness but they only make it worse. I always come back to this!! It gets rid of the grease without overcleansing.

Cons:

Works best the first few times and then starts to not work as well but I still love it!

Definitely buy this cleanser. It is one of the best basic cleansers you can buy for any skin type. It doesn't dry out skin, make it too greasy, or cause more breakouts. My face feels awesome after using it. The price is great for such a great product as well! I highly recommend buying this.
