Light cleanser

Pros:

Can find it anywhere
Smells nice
Inexpensive

Cons:

Doesn't remove eye makeup well.
I can taste the face wash on my lips after washing my face. Kinda gross.

I really like this face wash. It foams up pretty good. Removes face makeup well. Eye makeup is a bit more difficult to remove though. Has a nice smell to it too. Doesn't break me out at all.

Pros:

- Gentle
- Doesn't overdry
- Cleanses well

Cons:

Doesn't fight acne (but it's not supposed to, so that's okay :))

I love this cleanser! It cleans well and it doesn't leave my face feeling tight. I will continue to use this for the rest of my life :)

Pros:

This cleaners works awesome for people with all different types of skin. It foams up good, cleanses great, takes off makeup, and my favorite doesn't overdry skin.

Cons:

Bottle does leak a little during trips, so baggie would be necessary!

Don't buy expensive cleansers, especially if you're prone to breakouts. The simplest regime is the most effective regime.

Pros:

Removes makeup well
Smells really fresh and clean
A little goes a long way

Cons:

Can't leave it in the shower
Leaks horribly out of the top so it makes travel difficult
Can irritate skin after awhile

I bought this because I just wanted a simple cleanser that would remove my light makeup and wouldn't clog my pores or cost a fortune. It removed my makeup very well and it smells really good, and I was really happy with it for about a month. I noticed I had been breaking out more than normal in little red pimples all over my face, but I thought it might be the stress from summer classes and crappy roommates, but I spent a couple weeks at my parent's house and went back to my old cleanser I had laying around in a cabinet (I used to use Cetaphil Gentle) and by the time I went back to my home in Minnesota these little red bumps had disapeared. That is the only think that changed in my routine, so I have to say that the Purpose Cleanser is what was wrecking my skin. I don't think it clogged my pores, but I do think it irritated my face and that is almost just as bad as clogged pores. I have found out that the Sodium Laureth Sulfate in it (which is one of the top ingredients) can be very irritating. I did really like this cleanser and I feel bad that it didn't work out for me, so I am not going to get it a bad rating because it didn't work out for me. If you don't have sensitive skin than this will probably work out great for you, so I do recommend it, just not for me :)

Pros:

none

Cons:

Made me break out

I decided to try this out when I ran out of the acne.org cleanser, and at first it seamed to be a fine substitute. I didn't like that it had fragrance in it. It's been about a week, and my face has broken out worse than it has in a long time. I have a cyst on my chin and at least ten whiteheads all over my face. I'm so upset!

Pros:

- cheap
- doesn't dry out skin
- refreshing smell

Cons:

- packaging isn't the greatest, can leak like past reviewers have said

I buy the large bottle at Ulta because I love it so much and it's more cost effective. I have been using this cleanser on and off since high school (5-6 years) and it works great on my sensitive skin. In the past I have been on other topical medications and this is the only cleanser that doesn't dry out my skin.

Pros:

Gentle,refreshing,light

Cons:

N/A

I love this product, I have been using it for about a week now and it has cleared my skin almost completely. After trying acne medications and creams, I decided just to go back to the basics - a gentle cleanser, Witch Hazel toner and a light oil-free moisturizer. It's worked. Purpose is light, refreshing and gentle on the skin. It lathers decently well and smells just like Baby Shampoo.

Pros:

Lathers well, lightweight, not over-drying

Cons:

Expensive, the bottle is hard to travel with

A good fill in for the Acne.org cleanser when you just don't feel like paying for shipping/ran out and forgot to order online.

Pros:

Very gentle, not really drying, clean smell, affordable

Cons:

Seems to stop working after a while. Maybe it is a little too liquid? But wth, just add a few drops of water when you lather, not a whole glass.

I used this after I went to a dermatologist's office, where it was introduced to me. It is a very good product, and beats even cetaphil or phisoderm. The sad thing is that it stops working after a while; I could never get ride of the little zits that appeared above my eyebrow, extending to the forehead. When they did disappear, some would reappear on the other side of my forehead. Zits are just annoyingly movable like that. Anyway, I recently tried Noxzema (my review isn't up yet, though.. wondering why.. I gave it a bad review, btw), and heck, it's as bad as Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash (ugh demonic cleanser). Soooo after reaearching, I decided to get the bar version of Purpose. It's doing my skin good, but I have this weird belief that things will go wrong if I blab about it yet, so I'm not going to say more, except that it is doing my skin good.

Pros:

It is a good basic cleanser. It doesn’t have many ingredients, no salicylic acid or little bead things (which irritate my skin). I needed something gentle as I am using BP and it dries out my skin.

Cons:

I would not recomend taking it in the shower as the bottle lets water in and ruins the face wash!! I do not have really bad acne so I just use it to remove make-up and clean my skin. I feel that that is all it is good for.

I love how gentle it is, I only use it to cleanse my face and not to treat acne. Be cautious when taking it in the shower!
