Pros:

Non-irritating, helps to reduce inflammation.

Cons:

Sometimes leaves a white film.

I have moderate inflammatory acne, and am Asian. My biggest worry is not my acne itself, but rather the post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). A spot lasts a week, but the marks last a year! I am happy to say that Freederm helped to reduce the redness of my spots, and the PIH marks are less nitcable than what they would usually be. I wouldn't tout this as an acne cure, it didn't magically shrink spots, but it did help with the inflammation.

Pros:

It works very on my mild acne and doesn't irritate or dry the skin.

Cons:

It's not as effective as BP or antibiotics. I still get spots

EFFECTIVENESS - It's cleared my mild adult acne almost completely. - On a daily basis I have no spots. I occasionally got the odd spot turn up but these disappear quicker. TIMESCALES - It took 3 months before this really started working well. - I've seen reviews that say it worked in 1 week. I saw no effect after 1 week so I stopped using. I then tried it again months later because I liked it for other reasons. APPLYING THE GEL - I put a tiny amount. It rubs in after 1-2 seconds. I don't moisturise where I apply it because the skin doesn't dry.

Pros:

easy toapply, not sticky, disappears within seconds

Cons:

small white heads appearing!! arggghhh!!

i have been using this for only about a week so am going to give it a good shot as i have, just as everyone else tried pretty much everything else. have suffered and suffered since the age of 13 i am now 28 which means 15 years of hiding behind a mask of makeup trying to make the best of it!! argghh, gets u down though eh? as i said its only a week since ive started using freederm but have noticed a LOT of tiny whiteheads appearing which i have NEVER suffer with, its usually the angry red, sore spots around my chin and jaw line. i am hoping however, being a glass half full kinda gal that these are purely an indication that this is a product which is actually doing something as opposed to the others which have been a waste of time and money! and wait with baited breath :) i will post back again in a few weeks........ fingers crossed :) x

Pros:

Has a soothing effect on spots, no side effects, no bleaching or drying of skin

Cons:

Not particularly effective, a little expensive

I suffer with adult acne on my chin and jawline which started at the age of 25. My spots are mainly inflammed which Freederm is supposed to work on. I found that it did reduce the redness to some extent although only temporarily, they would become red again within a few hours. I think it may have cleared the spots up slightly quicker than normal although nothing worth getting too excited about. It doesn't prevent new ones from appearing either.

Pros:

It really, really really works on all spots!!

Cons:

it's quite pricey, and the tube is smaller than I thought it would be

I would reccomend anyone to buy it, if you have a couple of spots on your face. But to be honest with you, i don't think you would have strong effects if you have loadz and loadz and loadz of spots!

Pros:

spot size went down in a matter of hours

Cons:

expensive

I only purchased this product today after i went into a big depressive about my face. I got home and put a thin layer on each spot and the redness and size have already gone down, I'm really impressed

Pros:

does exactly what it says- reduces redness and swelling

Cons:

cant put make up over it. a little dryness(but i have sensive skin)

im 13 and must had had spots for 2 years. id seen this on the adverts and decided to gte my mum to shell out the £9 on it. it makes your skin smooth, but when i tried to put make up on it started to rub off. therefore i only use it once a day. at first it made my skin a little worse but a week later my skin is really clearing up. i really recommend it!

Pros:

None

Cons:

No effect

This had absolutely no effect on my acne. Other reviewers have discussed whether it reduces existing spots. That's not what I was looking for. I have mild acne so my aim in using a cream to prevent spots from emgerging in the first place, as much as possible. I used it twice daily for 2 full months. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to do anything. I didn't irritate my skin but nor did it prevent spots occuring. I really wanted it to work - we all hope for a new great acne treatment and loved the idea of one that doesn' bleach clothes and can be used in the sun. Some people say it works for them but for me, with mild acne, 2.5 panoxcyl is much more effective.

Pros:

It's a clear gel, really easy to use. I have INCREDIBLY sensitive skin and I've had no reactions in the two years I've used it. It really reduces the size and redness of any spots I do get, and it's reduced them down to just a couple before my period

Cons:

I do still get the odd spot, but only in the few days before my period (show doesn't?) and they're normally small and go away in a day or so.

I had pretty bad skin before I began using this and had tried pretty much everything in the eight years or so since they started. Freederm is the most effective thing I've tried. You just have to be patient. That goes for everything by the way... be sure to give it enough time (like a couple of months) to actually work! I used to chop and change all the time and I'm sure it made it worse.

Pros:

Invisible - no residue after a few minutes, so no problems with makeup. Tones down redness unbelieveably... Well, not unbelieveably exactly, not quite that quick, but compared to all the other products I've used, pretty darned quick.

Cons:

EXPENSIVE! Nasty fatcat drug companies cashing in on the misery of others, as per.

It works. It is not a miracle cure exactly. I started using it a week ago as I have a horrible breakout on my neck. No, they have not disappeared by any stretch of the imagination, but they do look better, even to me. Seems to work better on my face? Does that make sense? Probably not. I had a huge red bump under my eye, which due to fiddling okay, okay, picking, became infected and was just a hideous mess. Well, that's nearly gone, after just a week - just a little red dot whereas I'd expected a scar, and that is pretty impressive. I'd also 'fiddled' with masses of whiteheads on my cheeks today, left my skin clear, then applied freederm tonight. Four hours on almost all of the redness has gone, which is extremely impressive. The breakout on my neck is not faring so well, but I do have a tendancy to keep prodding every five minutes to see whether they've gone down, and I doubt very much it's helping. I'll cross my fingers and sit on my hands. Otherwise, this stuff is fab.
