Pros:

cheap to buy, easy to swollow gel caps compared to vitamin pills, easy to remember to take with food cuz you cant overdose on fish oil:)

Cons:

not a dramatic change so far only been using it for a week so far im too impatient to see what really works.

i bought this because of some research and ive been using it for about a week 1000mg 3 times a day with food and i jsut finished my period this week and had a few pimples, i noticed that the inflamation went down really fast compared to usual, thats definately a plus because when its a big pimple it takes at least a few days. hope this continues to work and continues to help improve....best of luck to everyone:)

Pros:

easy to remember (just 2 in the morning one at night)
no messy topical stuff that takes forever

Cons:

none

i read the reviews on acne.org and decided to give fish oil a shot after i stopped doing BP cuz of all the side effects: dry flaky skin, premature wrinkles (i'm 21), angry mom because of bleached expensive bed sheets :( and after a week i have not had ONE single new pimple. because of this i feel much more confident about my skin and can finally go to bed with just brushing my teeth and not have to worry about washing my face, applying bp, applying moisturizer etc. i'm using the fish oil from kirkland (bought at costco which says one per day, but u actually need to take 2-3 per day).

Pros:

Cleared up my skin, easy to take, good for the body

Cons:

big pills?

I have used all the doctor prescriptions for acne over the years.. just to name a few: minomycin, differin gel, antibiotics, etc! None of them worked in the long run.. they made my skin very sensitive to the sunlight! But the fish oil.. wow.. did wonders for my skin! Cleared up my skin .. I would say in 1 month? Pretty happy with the results! Should give it a try! Great stuff :)

Pros:

Reduces redness and inflammation. Evens skin tone and makes it soft.

Cons:

None.

All I can say is WOW. I have taken Carlson's Lab Very Finest Fish Oil for a month and my skin has improved significantly. I started taking 1 teaspoon every other day for seven days and slowly increased to two teaspoons a day (breakfast and dinner time). I didn't want to shock my system or whatver. Anyway, I totally suggest adding an oil-free moisturizer 20-30 minutes after BP, keep hydrated with water, and take fish oil! It truly works :)

Pros:

Fights acne, promotes heart help, and boosts the metabolism.

Cons:

Literally cleared my face in three days. Nothing else even came close to working for me, but this did the trick. It only works if you acne is because of hormones. Just hoping it works long term...

Pros:

first thing that ever worked for me! lots of added health benefits, no side effects, can buy it over the counter, cheaper and safer than prescription treatments

Cons:

none

i'm so happy i want to tell everyone about this! omega-3 fish oil is the single best thing i've ever tried, hands down. my coworker suggested i try fish oil for my breakouts, so i bought a bottle of "odorless" softgels from trader joes. i've been taking 2400mg (2 pills) a day for about 1 month. in that time i've only gotten 2 small pimples and one medium sized one right before my period, which came and went within about 4 days. my skin is the clearest it's ever been since before puberty. and i'm 33 yrs old. thank frickin god something finally works. and it's natural. and good for you. and you can buy it at the health food store. i feel like i should give my coworker a serious present for turning me on to fish oil. i use 5% glycolic acid from reviva labs nightly to help fade old scars, tea tree face wash and super gentle spf 30 moisturizer from devita. with hardly any new breakouts and the old ones healing and fading, i feel like a totally new person. a person with good skin!

well one of my friend who majored in the medical field suggested that taking fish oil daily will clear away your acne. At frist i didnt beleive him, but than 4 days ago i bought fishoil at costco and decided to give it a shot. right now my face is pretty much acne free (no big pimples popping out, only those small ones that go away within a day or two). it works! try it!

Pros:

happier, more excited, and my skin feels so soft

Cons:

well i started taking fish oil like a week ago thinking that it would help my hair grow faster and it did help my hair and my skin, i dont have bad acne, i would just say that they are zits and pimples, i have them on my forhead, chin, and on the side of my lips, now ive tried proactive and avon products but they just made my face adicted to them and when i tried to stop using them myface would tighten up andhurtbadly, so right now i was my face with cetaphil in the shower at night and in the morning and take two softgels in the morning with my breakfast and two softgels at night with my dinner. i use the Nature Made brand cause thats what my mother bought me and she also takes fish oil. well i really hope that if your reading this and have a problem with acne that you at least try taking fish oil, i mean it cant hurt you!!!!!!!! :)

Pros:

Works within days. Pimples disappear almost completely. Even texture of skin is transformed.

Cons:

none.

If you have acne problems, fish oil is definitely the way to go. I hate that I figured this out late in life (I'm 28). I started taking fish oil in spring of this year, and my skin has been pretty much pimple free since I started using them. You notice the difference with two to three days. My existing pimples begin to clear up. The texture of my skin was noticeably different; it became smooth and brighter. Sometimes I get a pimple or two during PMS, but it is much easier to treat it with pimple cream. Some people on here are complaining about cost, just go to the vitamin section in Wal-mart. You can get them there for about $8.
