Pros:

Healthy to take
Good for fading acne scars

Cons:

This was really the first product that I've tried (and I've tried alooooot of products over the years) that has made me breakout. I was disappointed after reading some of these reviews.

If it doesn't break you out then I would highly recommend it. Even if it doesn't help your acne, it's still healthy to have daily.

Pros:

Fights acne, promotes heart help, and boosts the metabolism.

Cons:

None

Literally cleared my face in three days. Nothing else even came close to working for me, but this did the trick. It only works if you acne is because of hormones. Just hoping it works long term...

Pros:

No more terribly greasy flaky skin.No new breakouts AT ALL. Skin looks glowing and feels so much smoother.

Cons:

Pills are expensive-but worth it!

Battling acne (severe) for over 18 years, tried everything. Doctor did cholesterol check and its low, but LDL was very low she said to take fish oil. Besides increasing good cholesterol, that it helps decrease androgen production (contributes to acne). Tried it and within a few days, I am ecstatic about the results! Never ever in my life has my skin looked soooo good! I also wash with Obagi salycylic acid cleanser at night, put on thin layer of proactive bp before bed, and during day(morn, dinner times) wash with tea tree oil soap to keep oilyness down. My skin looks not perfect but about 80% better, for real. Everyone has noticed and said how fresh and healthy it looks.-me! used to have bad skin. I take Max. Strength Triple Omega 3 6 9 from vitamin world 3 times a day (also has flaxseed oil and borage seed oil in it). I tried to take other kinds years ago, but seriously, quality is VERY important with fish oil, cause the other cheaper ones didnt do a thing before. These are the best!

Pros:

Good for overall health, inexpensive, no side effects, skin is softer and smoother, hair is very shiny, nails are strong, cholesterol is down

Cons:

Occasional fishy burps (haven't tried the freezer trick, and the burps don't seem to happen when I take regularly vs just starting or after skipping doses)

I have been taking this for a few months and have seen a definite improvement, especially with nods. It's not expensive, I got a huge bottle for less than $20 at Walgreens 750 ct @ 1000 mg - that will last several months. I take between two and four of these per day depending on what I eat. I had been considering Accutane but don't think I will go that route now. Advice to those who think their skin gets oiler - it's VERY important to avoid hydrogenated oils or you won't get the benefits. No fried foods, no chips, no cookies... Read the ingredients before you buy things or put them into your body. Hydrogenated oils and trans fats are bad for you in many more ways than acne-related, anyway. Study up on omega-3 and omega-6 oils. Bring down your intake and 6s and markedly increase your intake of 3s and see what happens.

Pros:

The type of fish oil pills that I have tried are perfect and have no bad aftertaste. I've been using Nature Made Fish Oil pills, that I just purchased from Wal-Mart yesterday, and already my acne has been clearing up, within just two times taking it.

Cons:

I bit pricey, but I'm realizing it is worth it. I've noticed it works for some people, and with others it makes their skin worse. I guess it may be too powerful for other people.

This product has worked great for me so far. I know it's only been my second time taking it, but nothing has worked this good on clearing up my skin, and so fast. It works best for me when I take just on fish oil pill a day with a multi-vitamin, and the antioxidant Selenium 200. I know that fish oil pills are good for everything in your body, not just for skin :) so I recommend using this method daily.

I had high hopes but it didn't work for me
I started taking fish oil supplements after reading a great book on the overabundance of omega6's in the diet and the great effect omega 3's have against inflamation in the body, the positive effect on mood regulation, specifically in people with bi-polar disorder, and the possiblity it might reduce acne. I will say that the high potentcy supplement I have been taking for the last month has done wonders for my mood and temper and it's only 300mg of EPA and 400mg of DHA (or possibly I've switched the two but you get the idea.) Anyhow, this past Monday (Feb 23) I decided I would double my dose, one in the morning and one at night. Well, it's Wed and I've already developed a cyst on my forehead and then tiny, really hard bumps in a couple other places on my face and neck. The first night I took it about 30 minutes after I started to get a prickly warm feeling all over my face. I didn't notice anything weird the next morning and I don't know if the feeling is even related to what's going on with my skin, I just wanted to be detailed. Anyhow, I have not had a cyst in...well, I can't remember and I'm pushing 40. About my acne- I never really had cystic acne in the first place, it was mostly moderate from the 15-20 and then with peels etc it's been pretty mild the last 10-15 years. So, to sum up, two days ago I doubled my fish oil supplement and now I've got a decent sized cyst and some angry hard (I mean like their is a pearl under the skin-hard!) red bumps so I will be going back to my one a day routine as it really has been incredible for mood regulation (and yes, I am a legit diagnosed bi-po, in case you're wondering.) Last thing- one of the NIH studies on omega3s and acne notes that the subjects in their study who "deteriorated" ie had an increase in acne were classified as mild cases. It seems to be good for moderate acne so give it a try. You will know right away if it works or not. And as far as why I'm giving it such a high rating despite it making things worse for my skin- as a bi-po who refuses to take psychiatric drugs and has definitely paid for it (interpersonal issues) fish oil feels like a real solution.

Pros:

-good for your heart.
-great supplement for a good ,balanced diet.

Cons:

-did nothing for my skin.

Everyone knows fish oil is a healthy supplement to take but I think it's overrated if someone says it can help acne,or mabye it does help other's skin , not mine.

Pros:

Brightened Complextion...ALOT
Face is less oily
More energy

Cons:

Didn't really help with acne healing and I've still been getting breakouts

I've only used these for two weeks so there's still time for improvement. The pills make your face very bright and healthy and they also help your heart.

Pros:

Cleared skin
skin not as oily

Cons:

none

I have suffered from acne for several years. Nothing seemed to work permanently. I tried a liver cleanser for 30 days while taking fish oil supplements. My skin cleared within the first couple of weeks and haven't had any reocurrences. I now take fish oil 2 a day in the evening along with a multivitamin and calcium.
