Pros:

didnt make my face oily
smelled good
cleared up some parts of my face
wasnt drying at all

Cons:

didnt really work that well...at least ALL over my face

before i started using this i used proactiv, and loved it until my face starting getting super dry. Then i thought i would give this a try because so many people liked it...but i started getting TERRIBLE whitheads on my forehead and getting bit zits around my cheeks and sides of my mouth(this could be because i just came off Proactiv too). I think this product though really worked well on the other parts on my face....but the results werent enought to where i would keep using it.i think that if you have normal or dry skin ALL cetaphil products work well.

Pros:

It didn't irritate my skin at all
Didn't dry out my skin
Kept skin smooth

Cons:

Feels like your cleaning your face with lotion
I would get really big and painful whiteheads on my chin

I used some harsh soaps for a while which made my skin rough and bumpy. I switched to Cetaphil and thought it was a godsend. My skin didn't feel so dry and my skin was smooth again. However, I would get very large, painful whiteheads on my chin and mouth area. I figured that was just how my skin was so I continued using it for a few years. I just recently switched to Burts Bees and realized that that is not the case (I do not necessarily recommend Burts Bees, I just switched again to Olay Foaming Face Wash). After using Burts Bees for a month or two I realized the Cetaphil was causing the huge whiteheads.

Pros:

Gentle and non-irritating at all
Nice gentle scent
Great for those who are using medicated topical treatments!

Cons:

I give this 3 stars only because I bought this thinking it would get rid of all my makeup as well as cleanse. I wanted a good all-in-one cleanser.
It barely lathers..and I feel like lathering gets my skin cleaner

Those of us girls who like to wear our makeup :) need a different cleanser to get rid of it all. This cleanser is great for people who have already removed their makeup or not wearing any..but not a good all-in-one that incorporates the makeup removal.

Pros:

(: Nice scent.
(: Got all of my make up off nicely.
(: Worked pretty well for the first couple of weeks.
(: Non-irritating.
(: Didn't overly dry my skin.

Cons:

): Felt just kind of... too.. soapy?
): Didn't feel like it was doing anything but removing my make up.
): Even when I went on a "make up strike" and didn't wear make up, my skin was still breaking out.

I tried it for a few months, not giving up. I used it every morning when I woke up, afternoon when I got home from school, and right before I went to bed at night for maybe 2 and a half months. It worked pretty well for the first few weeks, clearing up my skin slightly. After those few days of awesome, my acne returned the way it was before I started using it... I continued to use it, hoping it just needed time. Well, yeah, hi, here I am, still breaking out. All in all, it might work for you, but it did not work for me. So, try it if you want to! Never know. Good luck! Stupid acne.

Am I Missing Something?
I used it. It was ok. It wasn't memorable. It didn't help my skin. It didn't make it worse. But people RAVE about it. So I genuinely think I am missing something here....I will say that I am a HUGE fan of the texture and love that it doesn't dry me out. OK, yeah I mean, basically its a great cleanser for maintaining skin that doesn't need any healing-be it acne or scars or dullness, etc. It's just a typical cleanser for typical skin. HOTTAKE: its average cleanser for average skin. It's not going to drastically change your skin for better or worse. If you're looking for something to stabilize your skin...I say buy it.

Worked okay for me...
It was very gentle and not at all harsh on my skin for the 2 years that I had used it. It never seemed to really help any pimples that I got though. I do not wear makeup regularly, but since I am in theatre, it helped me easily remove any of my stage makeup very easily, which I loved! I have moved on to Olay Total Effects Revitalizing Foaming Cleanser in the morning and Ambi Even & Clear Foaming Cleanser in the evening. The Olay one helps keep my pores clean and wakes me up in the morning with it's citrusy scent. It also has little exfoliating microbeads that are very gentle on the skin. The Ambi one is very good at fading post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and helps keep my skin clean. It also has 0.5% salicylic acid. They both really helped limit my breakouts, since I am currently going through puberty. I use both in coordination with my new Precision Pore Cleansing Pad from Sephora. It's only $5-$6 and works absolute wonders as it gives you a deep pore cleanse, just like a Clarasonic, just cheaper! You could also get one at places like Target called a Pore Scrubber. They're exactly the same. Hope I helped.

I guess it did the job...

Pros:

Gentle
Left my skin soft
relatively cheap

Cons:

Skin didn't feel "clean enough"
Not the best for oily skin, IMO
Have a huge bottle of this stuff that went to waste

I used this cleanser after receiving a Glycolic Peel that seriously damaged my skin. My normal cleanser was leaving my skin too dry and taut, so my esthetician recommended that I try Cetaphil. When using this product, I found that it did the job of getting my makeup off (including eye makeup), but my face felt like it wasn't completely clean. I know that sounds completely contradictory to what everyone says, but that was my personal experience. Almost maybe that it was "too gentle" for my combination/oily skin. On the bright side, my skin felt somewhat soft and didn't have the stripped feeling that other cleansers can cause. I would recommend this for people who are using topical retinol/retinoid, using BP, or on Accutane. Otherwise, I need something a bit more "harsh" and foamy.
