Pros:

Clears acne, smells nice, clean feeling

Cons:

well it has BP in it so starting off be careful not to overdo it.

I few people here said the "tingly" feeling meant it was burning your skin. But don't worry, that isn't true.. if you will read the ingredients it has MENTHOL in it. If you have sensitive skin dont start off using this twice a day, just once and work your way up. But it did clear my acne in about two weeks and has continued to keep it clear. I'm very happy with this product... never been happier actually. I also used to have INCREDIBLY oily skin... after an hour my makeup would be coming off because of all the oil but now all day long i'm good. I just occasionally pat it with some toliet paper at work on my forehead but that's it. I use this twice a day, in the morning i put it on my face in the shower and rub it around like usual, then I let it sit there for a minute before washing off. At night.. i put it on and use a washcloth to exfoliate then i wash it off. I then apply a layer of it and let it sit for a bit like a mask.. then wash off. This is my method that works but may not work for everyone.

Pros:

it actually works and its not that expensive, one bottle lasts for about 2 monthes

Cons:

face is a little bit red after i use it, but then it clears up and my face is pimple free!!

its one of the acne washes that actually works and is generally inexpensive. Its key ingredient is benzoyl peroxide, which kills acne bacteria

Pros:

Has cleared my skin up! I was on Accutane before but afterwards my acne would always come back. I have tried many other products - ProActiv, Mary Kay, etc. None have worked as well as this for me.

Cons:

Bleaches fabric so be careful when using it.

I used Benzyl Peroxide cream (spelling?) a year ago as this site recommends and it worked as long as I was consistent with it. The problem: it was a tedious procedure and it really dried my skin out. This face wash gives me the same clear results as with the cream but without the hassle and dry skin. Plus, it's cheap. Always nice. :) Note: So you girls know, I am also on the pill which I think helps reduce hormonal related breakouts. As well, I use a small amount of Jojoba oil in the morning to soften and moisturize plus a regular moisturizer. I definitely think this product is a life saver for me! I have always had a strange combination skin which was prone to dryness and breakouts. This helps both factors.

Pros:

leaves face really clean, clears up acne FAST!, awesome price, all-in-all good product

Cons:

a little bit of dry skin.. just use a good moisterizer & youre good!! other than that i love this productt!!

I love this, it's a life saver!! I was using Proactiv, it was alright but wasn't getting rid of all of my acne...and it was expensive on my tight budgett~~ So I decided to buy this and after just ONE day of using it twice my face was SOOOOO much better~! Most of my pimples had dried up, and the ones that were there were so much smaller!!! So I've been using it for a month now and I barely have any pimples left! The occasional 1 or 2, but my skin is so smooth and clean.I would reccomend using a good oil-free moisterizer after washing you face with this.. it can dry it out a bit. ( I use the Clean & Clear dual action moisterizer) Again, I love this & wouldn't live without it. :) I feel so much more confident!!!!

Pros:

This product works amazing in treating my acne. I had been using saylic acid products up until I started using this. I grabbed it in a hurry, not knowing that peroxide was the main ingredient. What luck!

Cons:

I sometimes use this product up to 3 times a day when I want to freshen my skin. Never once has it dried my skin out. NO CONS!

This product is amazing! It works well with my skin and I hope it never gets discontinued. I'm hooked. I only wish I would have thought to switch from saylic acid cleansers sooner. With those, I got nothing but red, blotchy skin that was constantly drying out. This cleanser cleans well and heals acne. It also prevents new zits from forming. It has never dried out my skin and I use it up to 3 times a day. The key is to rub it in, gently, for approximately 20 seconds all over your face. Then, rinse off.. rinse well, so that you don't leave any dirt or oil on your face. Pat dry.

Pros:

Extremely gentle. Worked on my hormonal chin acne like nothing else. I had burned red blotchy skin and peeling on top of the breakouts from Salicylic Acid treatments I'd tried. This benzoyl peroxide worked excellent for me.

Cons:

None.

My Advice: You have to figure out if your skin is more tolerant of Salicylic Acid or benzoyl peroxide. If you have a bad reaction to this BP cleanser try an SA face cleanser and if you don't tolerate SA try this. You have to try new products alone or it is virtually impossible to figure out what is working for you and what might be causing irritation. Also once my face cleared up I alternate with a non acne face wash to ensure I never have to worry about overly drying my skin. I think some people might be overdoing it. My Experience: I'm 27 yr old female and I had a ton of breakouts due to hormones on my chin and around my mouth. I tried several products including homeopathic and home remedies. It turns out the when I used salicylic acid on my skin it burned and caused itchy peeling red blotches on my skin. This is extremely gentle compared to salicylic acid washes. Cleared my skin and redness I got major complements after using this on how my skin is super clear.

Pros:

When my acne started getting bad I switched to this because of a friend's recommendation. It got rid of most of my acne and now I only get the occasional pimple.

Cons:

Burns face, and lately my skin has been red and blotchy after I use it.

I have dry skin the way it is, so I use the dual action moisturizer and also use the persa-gel for the occasional pimple. Its worked great except for the last few days with the blotchiness.

Pros:

Absolutely amazing. I've been using it for like 6 months now and I've only gotten like 2 pimples since then. I luuurve it. I used to have like a bunch of acne and now NOTHING!!!

Cons:

none

Also lasts A LOT! I just squeeze out like 1/2 inch which I wash my face with in shower every day. Here is the key I think. Don't like scrub or rub at your face bcs that GIVES YOU acne. Just gently spread it on your face like lotion. Scrub a teeny tiny bit with fingertips. Then wash it off. Works like a charm. But don't scrub your face with anything else ever. Not with one of those little face scrubs or ANYTHING!! When you dry your face PAT it dry. (I only scrub my nose bcs looks bad under makeup if I don't. But that's just bcs I don't get acne on my nose.) So yeah if you're one of those people that thinks scrubbing at your face will make your acne go away, you're wrong. NEVER EVER SCRUB. Enjoy amazing product!

Pros:

Cleansing, tingly feeling, smooth skin, smells good, works well, cool feeling

Cons:

Makes face light red when rinsed but goes away after an hour or so.

This product is pretty much great! I've used countless products on my face and none of them are as good as this one! From day 1 my skin has gotten way smoother especially my cheeks which is lovely and my previous acne scars are also way better too! This product causes a bit of red color in the cheeks so you may look flushed but it goes away in a hour or so. Some have also said it causes dryness so I put on a moisturizer, I recommend you use a moisturizer with at least some SPF because apparently on the bottle it says you want to wear sunscreen while using this product and going outside. I use Clinique Youth Surge Moisturizer with it and it's AMAZING! Since the product has already left my skin so smooth using the Youth Surge with it worked wonders and made my skin looking very young and soft! it's great even if you don't even have that many pimples/acne which I don't. But I do get them easily so whether you have severe acne or not, use this product cause it works wonders from the start!
