Pros:

Will clear up skin noticeably within the first few weeks. Also does an okay job keeping acne away.

Cons:

Do not use with other products or theres a good chance you will receive burns. This is not a permanent treatment. Ziana will only clear up major acne to a point..

There are better products on the market but it might be worth a try for light to moderate acne sufferers.

Pros:

Cleared up my skin, did not cause dryness or irration.

Cons:

somewhat expensive

This product has been a godsend for me. I went to college, and instantly broke out (change of location, stress, etc.) Anyway, I started to get acne in places I never had before. Not just inflammation acne, but small white-ish bumps that WOULD NOT GO AWAY. I was put on tazorac by a derm, and it was a nightmare. My skin started peeling off, it was constantly red and itchy, and broke me out worse than I could have imagined. I stopped using it and went to another derm who prescribed Ziana. After only a month, my forehead started clearing up and the white bumps were going away. Even though it did take about 4 months to see true, visible results, Ziana caused no dryness or irratation which was very nice. My face is completely clear and I have Ziana to thank for it. I had tried SO many other things and nothing worked besides this. Please please try it, it changed my life!

Pros:

I love ziana. It is not as harsh as duac or retin-a, and it really works in clearing your skin. It does, however, make me look permanently flushed, which I could live without. Overall, great product, stick with it (try for a week) and it works!

Cons:

VERY expensive, my insurance didn't cover any of it and I ended up paying a little over $300. Big long lasting tube though.

Try it! It works

great product!

Pros:

shrinks pimples
works relatively quickly
noticeable changes

Cons:

sticky texture
kinda drying (not too bad)

I've been battling adult acne for about a year and a half now. I have on and off breakouts and finally my doctor prescribed this gel. It's probably the best acne cream I've ever used. It reduces inflammation very well. It's not a MIRACLE drug, but it has noticeable effects in just a week or two. I'm still battling acne but on a much much smaller scale than a few months ago. Has kind of a sticky texture, so I put on lotion a few minutes after it dries so my skin feels nice. I would recommend this to any 20-somethings battling cystic jawline and cheek acne like I was. Also, with a rebate I got it for FREE! Even better!

Pros:

It makes your skin smooth, clears acne, makes scars and redness less noticeable.

Cons:

Be careful how much you apply! It takes some to time work. There is a transition period where acne may get worse.

I gave up on this stuff after the first couple weeks. My neck was so dry and raw. It itched horribly. I figured this couldn't be a good sign so I went back to just washing with a tough Benzoyl Peroxide wash. The breakouts persisted for months and months. It seemed like each one was wose than the last. So, I decided to give Ziana another shot. During my second trial with Ziana I was careful to apply a very small amount and after reading about retinols effect on minimizing signs of aging I decided to apply the gel to my entire face, not just the acne prone areas of my neck and jawline. I monitored for any redness, drying, and itching. AND NOW I'm seeing some real improvement, My derm originally told me to pat the gel on to acne prone areas. I have seen MUCH better results actually rubbing it into my skin. Other reviews have mentioned that the gel makes their skin feel sticky. I also observed this during my first trial. This DOES NOT happen if you rub the gel into your skin. My skin actually looks a few years younger, my pores are noticeably smaller, and my acne has decreased.

Pros:

Clears all those annoying bumps under the skin.
Makes overall skin texture much better.

Cons:

Takes at least 10 weeks to work
I feel that I it makes pimples and red marks take a little longer to heal.

You have to give it time to work! Don't write a review until you've been using it for 10 weeks, my face was a mess up until then. Although the bactrim may have contributed to my clearing, the ziana definitely made my skin purge and now I have no little bumps.

Pros:

Works
Clears up skin and
improves appearance
Smoothes lines (unexpected result)
Glowing skin

Cons:

Slight burning skin at first
Skin can be flaky and sensitive initally
Need to apply sun screen and moisturizer religiously

It worked, I got this prescribed after a 2 month regimen of antibiotics and Aczone that left my skin a bit dry and confused looking (dry and scaly in some spots, red and sensitive in others, with residual acne fighting to stay put). I told my derm I noticed more whiteheads during my initial treatment which I barely ever had before treatment and she said this would help remove these and reduce acne scarring from the flares before and during my treatment. (had 2 major flares) I also decided to ween off the antibiotics and stop using much of the aczone unless absolutely necessary for returning acne, but and as soon as I introduced this my skin flaked slightly, though in a few days I noticed my skin "breathed" better and it felt like a layer of the dry damaged skin had been lifted. It just felt more sensitive to the air, and pores felt open and clean. I looked up reviews and saw all sort of reactions listed, yet mine seemed to clean up my skin from a lot of left over junk and dryness from the treatment. Now 4 months later I use this every other day and I think it's helped keep my skin clear. My skin is amazing now and my scars have cleared up significantly. I am naturally tan/olive and scarred very easily, this has evened my skin out. The tube also lasts so long, since you apply very little of it to work. Also my skin has adjusted to it, it's no longer sensitive as it was at first. A quick tip, do make sure you add moisturizer to you regimen (I use a generic drug-store brand without oil or scent and it works fantastic and dries up clean in no time) The combo is perfect to keep my skin glowy (and it does make it glowy) Side perk I hear this is prescribed for wrinkles as well, I am in my early 30s and don't have many but if this helps stave these off as well as keep it acne free- hey!)

Pros:

Reduces Redness (after awhile)
Small Amount Applied

Cons:

Avoid Sunlight
Skin Peels
Burns

The stuff works for light acne.Only a small amount is needed at night before bed. If too much is applied it will burn your skin. My skin has cleared up, and any breakout I get I rinse my face with warm water, pat dry, and apply a pea-sized on the affected area. Pimple is nearly gone the next day. Very happy! :)

Pros:

No staining clothes!!!
Ease/cost of 1 large tube
Quick drying & not sticky

Cons:

A little more oily
Sensitivity to sun & wind
Dry throat/ cough

One large tube is the cost of two previous meds & four times the use. Finally, 5 months...my skin is smoother, tighter and if I do have that occassional breakout, it clears within a few days. Pitfall ~ I tend to have a dry throat/cough since started use; keep hydrated. I had noticable reddening & pithy look with previous meds ~ Now I get compliments!
