Pros:

My face is smooth and cleared up the white/black heads quite quickly.

Cons:

A bit expensive since my health insurance won't cover it. Still I think is worth it, since the tube will last a few months if used as directed.

Been using it in combination with Doxycycline. So far is I've been under treatment for 2 months. My skin looks younger and friends have noticed the difference. Highly recommended. Economically it's a sacrifice, but you won't regret it after you see the good results.

Pros:

MY SKIN IS FLAWLESS!

Cons:

PATIENCE!

It took 4 months, but it's finally working. Let me warn you, if you're not patient, don't try this. My skin was worse than before for the first 10 weeks. I woke up every morning with new zits, which is typical of how the gel works ("purging"). But now my skin is flawless. I get the occasional zit during my cycle but there's no product that can prevent that. Also, my doctor gave me a savings card that ensures the gel will cost $25 or less. That tube has lasted me for 4 months, and will last at least another 6!

Pros:

once a day application
clear gel - no residue
effective!

Cons:

slightly drying

As a woman about to turn 30, I began getting mild to moderate adult onset acne first on my chin, then on my cheeks. I also began getting painful cystic acne. I finally went to a dermatologist, who prescribed Ziana. He said it would be perfect to deal with my acne as well as address any anti-aging concerns I was having. I use a pea-sized amount at bedtime and ensure that I use a facial serum in conjunction with a moisturizing cream by Burt's Bees during the day, as it has a drying effect. I cleanse with Cetaphil morning and night as my skin is very sensitive. This regimen is working beautifully. My cystic acne and any whiteheads/blackheads were gone within 2 weeks. I still have some red spots on my face from prior breakouts, but they will fade eventually. Ziana has worked wonders for me. My skin is not only clear, but looks fresh and radiant with no peeling or flaking. It's worked better than Retin A Micro or Differin, which I've used in the past. I highly recommend this.

Pros:

Improves skin tone/texture. Helps with stubborn whitehead. Works relatively quick for a topical retinoid.

Cons:

Can cause a decent amount of irritation even after you've used it for a long time.

I used this for whiteheads that randomly started plaguing me when I turned 28. It honestly works. I've had my ups and downs with it, but the problem has pretty much cleared up after about a year of consistent use. In terms of agreeability, this stuff surprisingly caused virtually no irritation when I first started using it. After over a year, however, I've noticed it giving me a notable amount of redness and flaking on the corners of my forehead. Also, it never worked on my nose. On the contrary, it started giving me rosacea/seb derm-type symptoms (flushing, broken capillaries, severe flaking, red blotchy skin and small red bumps) after using it every night for about 7 months. My derm said this was impossible and prescribed some metrogel thinking I was showing early signs of rosacea. I'm Indian...so...yeah...not likely. Knowing the real problem, I stopped applying the Ziana to my nose and the symptoms are only now beginning to fade. Wasn't a pleasant situation.

Pros:

Finally, something that works! Totally worth it.

Cons:

Sun sensitivity and pricy

I had spent hundreds of dollars on chemical peels and microdermabrasion with no results. In fact my skin was getting worse and I ended up having to pile on the makeup to hide the bloody and puss filled breakouts. My dermatologist prescribed the Ziana Gel in combo w/ orals once a day. I was able to wear it under my make up too. My skin is completely clear (after 3 months). I am still on it (6 months later) and am completely satisfied with it. Key is having a doctor who can find both a product and regimen that works for you.

Pros:

IT WORKS!

Cons:

dryness, sun sensitivity, etc.

i have been using ziana for about 2 months now, and my face is completely clear. i went from having a lot of acne that was just below the skin and bad scarring to very few breakouts. it took a little while to start working, but my derm started me on yaz birth control, and told me to use a benyzol peroxide wash, followed by clinique face wash, followed by the ziana gel, and finally, PURPOSE moisturizer. i'm 18 years old, so this was a little bit of a crazy routine (kind of tedious) to do every single day, but i got used to it really quick. :)

Pros:

(for a brownie) clear skin, no pores, no redmarks, no acne, no burning or itching, no blackheads

Cons:

makes ur skin feel sticky, like you have glue on your face.

A LOT better than pro-activ or any other medicine. i went to see my dermatologist 2 months ago, after having severe acne for over 3 years, my skin improved within 2 weeks. i still did get acne but it wasn't really bad.. and after 3 weeks my skin was clear and now i visit my dermatologist after 3 months and it's working out [PERFECTLY]

Pros:

skin great now.

Cons:

takes a while to work.

At first i was nervous about starting ziana because of what i had read about it, it was totally worth it. I started seeing a bit of a difference right off the bat, but after a little over a month, i saw a major difference. my skin is now nearly flawless, at least on my standards.
