Pros:

seems very light weight, no fregrnance

Cons:

seems too honeyish. Vey expensive, pharmacy wanted to charge me whole price (170 something) but I called my insurance and they ended up covering it

I have not used it yet. I never had bad acne, until a month ago when I broke out like NEVER EVER before. I mean, I would normally have a pimple or two, but never on my forehead, nose or chin area. Now I have my whole forehead covered with grain size dots and a few whiteheads (which make me gag when I look at myself) and my cheeks and the whole chin area. My derm has no idea where it came from so she put me on cefdinir.... anyone ever heard of?! And ziena ... I am crying my eyes out because I look like a pizza face ... She refuses to put me on accutane though. Makes me so sad. I count days until my next appointment.

Pros:

None

Cons:

My dermatologist gave me a bag of samples (no warning) and did not tell me the warning on the drug... May cause COLITIS. I used this for a few weeks before I learned of the warning. In
the mean time I thought I might have colon cancer. When I learned of the warning I stopped using Ziana, but have been diagnosed with colitis caused by Ziana. I have had to have a colonoscopy and everything!! Stay away! My acne was so mild if I knew this could have been a possible I would have never used i

Stay away! I give it a zero rating, I marked 5 because it would not submit unless I marked 6!

Pros:

* cleared up acne * made skin smoother

Cons:

* can be drying * skin seems blotchy in the winter * must be used before bed, because face feels slightly tight and sticky after putting it on

I'm 25 and went to my dermatologist in a last ditch effort to clear the bad recurring acne and scars that have plagued my chin since I was 19 and seemed to flare up especially when stressed. My derm prescribed ziana as well as an oral antibiotic, but after the first 6 weeks, I felt like it was a waste of time. Within the next 2 weeks, however, my face was finally cleared up for the first time in 6 years. As I've continued to use the product (and stopped the antibiotics all together), not only have I not had any further flare ups, but my skin has gotten smoother and softer. Apparently one of its active ingredients (retinol?) is used to help with wrinkles, an added bonus. It's important to note that when I first started using it, I only used it about 3x a week until my skin got used to it. Because it is drying initially, I think skin overcompensates by producing a lot of oil, so moderation is key. Good luck!
