Pros:

-Gets rid of your acne!
-You'll see results no later than a week after use.

Cons:

-Really expensive for me. I don't know about you guys, but it cost about $110 for me.

I got Benzaclin prescribed to me by my dermatologist along with this kind of gel called Differin. Together, they work like a charm! But it takes a while, so just be patient. For me, it took about a month. If you're new to Benzaclin and you have mild-severe acne, be patient because the during the first few days of use, it'll look as if your acne is getting worse. Don't worry =) It takes a while to get used to, so just stick with it and your skin will become better and better! Also....don't pop your zits! That'll only makes your acne worse!!

Pros:

It doesnt dry out your skin and doesnt leave white residue or inflamation.

Cons:

I still got oily in my tspots

I have been struggling with my acne for years. I don't even have terrible acne either. I have the type that pretty much stays under your skin for a week before coming up and is painful though. I always get zits in the same spot over and over. I had been using benzclin+minocyclin for 3 years and while my acne was better.. I never had clear skin, ever. I saw a new Doc who is supposed to be great. He put me on Duac plus ppx treatments(costly). I have been using this for 10 weeks. I am going in in the morning bc my acne is worse than ever. I have huge craters on my cheeks and chin. I washed lightly in the morning and evening and then applied the Duac am and pm. He has refused to let me even try accutane. Im 28 and have been going through this for 8 years to no avail.

Pros:

worked at clearing up zits faster, and reducing the number and size.

Cons:

didnt completely get rid of them, got an occasional bad zit once in a while

i get bout 6-7 small pimples and 1-2 big ones a week before taking this. Started taking solodyn and using benza clin and it started to work pretty fast after bout 2 weeks. Its been 5 weeks and the whole time ive only gotten 2 big zits and several smaller ones, and the ones i get go away way faster. Definately works although i wish it cured it. IT cost 50 bucks but havent had a refill on it yet so it lasts probly 2 months if use it conservately

Pros:

Benzaclin seems to be making my mild/moderate acne less noticable. It is still there, but it's not the first thing people see when they look at me.

Cons:

It took a very long time for me to get results, and my acne is still there, it just seems "lighter". not as red or inflamed.

Benzaclin is good, but I think that it may take a very long time for the acne to be gone. I have used it now for about two exact months, and i see small differences. All in all, it seems to make the acne easier to handel, but not clear it up completley. I would recomend it to others, because it did help, and I have had no bad reactions to it.

Pros:

it actually works

Cons:

expensive even with insurance, can potentially lead to colitus / constipation (read the warning labels!)

I give it 4 stars instead of 5, even though it worked for me. A word on my acne, it is the cystic kind, painful, hard bumps and constantly inflamed. There were always 6-12 of them on my face. I've had acne for 8 years and nothing seemed to work...I tried prescription differin, azelic (sp?), herbs, apple cider vinegar, tea tree oil, oatmeal masks, murad and none of them really worked for me even with consistent use. It took about 6 weeks for benzaclin to stop new breakouts and heal most of the current cysts. However, I had to stop using benzaclin because it was starting to give me signs of colitus (read the labels, it is actually a side effect). So on a whim, I tried a friend's advice to use proactive. I was very surprised that it took away the rest of my acne and I've been acne free for the last five months (except for bursts when I'm under a lot stress). I give benzaclin credit for making my acne manageable so that proactive could do the rest, so I'm giving it a 4 stars.

Pros:

At first I was excited that it would help me get over a 35 yr battle of constant breakouts, and it seemed to help for about a yr. Insurance covers 90% of cost

Cons:

It seems to lose it's "kick" after the 1st week on a new mixed jar.

I guess it's better than nothing. If used in conjunction with an oral antibiotic it might work better.
