Pros:

Works fast. Blemishes die out quickly.

Cons:

Using more than a teeny tiny amount turns me into a dry lobster and makes my face feel like it's on fire. Drying. Bleaches fabrics. Short shelf life for the price.

This product has been extremely helpful now that I've gotten the dosage down to a science. A tiny bit goes a long way.

Pros:

Dries up acne but didnt dry my skin out like I thought it would.

Cons:

Takes a few days to dry acne out and even after that acne still visible.

Good product, still deciding on the effectiveness.

Pros:

Cleared up current acne. Have not had a breakout in about 5 months

Cons:

Facial Redness as well as Dryness

Great product! Cleared me up in addition to using: Differin .3% and Nicomide (NIC750). Made my skin alot more sensitive. Get sunburnt alot easier. Dryish skin (Cured by good moisurizer). Although it does have it's minor side effects. It's an excellent product and has helped my skin alot. I would recommend everyone trying out.

Pros:

It cleared my face pretty good while I was using the product. No big bumps! However, once I stopped using it, my acne came back.

Cons:

It dried my so bad that I was scaly. It also itched my face sooooo bad. I had redness all over my faces even areas where I didn't even put the medicine on like my eyes. It also burned my face. It's really expensive!!!!!

If you are willing to bare the itchiness, dryness, burning, and redness, go for it. It will clear your face as long as you use the product and bare the annoying side effects.

Pros:

Cleared up my spots and greatly reduced blackheads in about a month.

Cons:

None as long as you apply a moisturiser on top!

I am on my 3rd tube of Duac now. I have a weird kind of acne that I haven't seen on anyone before. I get some painful red spots but mainly loads of blackheads that make my skin look really bumpy in all but the dimmest of lights. I have really dry skin too so I was worried about using this in case my skin got worse. I use a pricey moisturier (called Demalogica Active Moist) on top of the Duac gel. I only put it on at night. After a month on the stuff my skin is much better. And the moisturier keeps my skin from drying out. Its only taken me 10 years to find Duac but I'll keep using it for as long as they make it!

Pros:

Very effective at clearing up acne completely

Cons:

Can cause parts of your face to dry out

A year ago, my doctor gave me some Benzaclin along with another medication at a regular checkup. And to my surprise, things started getting better FAST! Although my acne actually got worse before getting better, I noticed that most of the pimples on my face disappeared after only a week or two. I've never had a problem since! I'd tried a few acne products before Benzaclin, including simple creams and those tedious 3-step solutions (AcneFree). Benzaclin is the first I've tried that actually works. I highly recommend it.

Pros:

It really shrinks your pimples after a couple of days of using. Since I have only used this for a couple of days, all of my acne isn't completely gone However it is well worth the cost.

Cons:

Dries up your skin & causes it to flake. Not sure if it's an allergic reaction, but my skin stings & feels as if had been sunburned.

For fast 'killing' of your acne, this is perfect, it really makes zits go away fast. It is not soothing by any means, it does dry your skin out, however a dermatologist recomended moisturizer does help a bit.

Pros:

Worked quick. I use at night and use retisol-a in the morn.also switched bc pills to jasmine prescribed in Oct. family & friends have noticed drastic diff.

Cons:

Have always had beautiful skin and been a tanner. Now my face is very red and my neck & chest are white. I use an extremely small amount.

26 years old, and never had a problem with acne. Summer of 07 went through extreme stress and my hair fell out & developed severe acne literally overnight. I have been using benzaclin since October at night and retisol-a in the morning. The combination seems to be making a big difference according to friends, family. I am still having a hard time dealing with this though. I am scared Ill have to use this forever. but I will do anything to not have the awful face I had 3 mths ago!!!!

Pros:

After only a week of use it's already rid me of all my blackheads, and most of my acne.

Cons:

It has dried my skin out to the point that it feels like I have a really bad sunburn.

I only have moderate acne (I went to the dermatologist for a mole check and he gave this to me without my asking) and it has certainly made it better. However, I will go back to the acne if the burning doesn't stop within a day or two.

Pros:

Cleared me up in as little as 6 weeks

Cons:

Extremely drying, even caused premature wrinkles! Clears you up, but does not give you a "glow".. then again, that just might be too much to ask.

Combined it with a non-comodegenic moistuizer and it worked to make the wrinkles disappear. Combined with retinoid/glycolic therapy and in 2 months, I'm completely acne free. Just have to deal with the scars now.
