Pros:

A little bit goes a long way.
Doesn't dry/irritate the skin as much as some other products.
Makes a significant difference when used reguarly*

Cons:

*not particularly effective for body or back acne.
It will 'run off' if you get sweaty after application and it will bleach fabrics.

prescription only so must obtain via a dr.

I found DUAC was OK when applied generously once a day before bed. I would say it is probably best for those with mild to moderate acne of the face area, as it doesn't seem effective when used over a wider area (i.e whole back or chest). Probably no better than 10% Benzoyl peroxide cream but significantly less drying and irritating. Worth a go but don't expect miracles - I would say it is more likely to keep things "under control" than actually provide a cure.

Pros:

Use as a spot treatment works very well

Cons:

Burns so I cant use completely over my face

I use Duac as a spot treatment on new pimples that are forming. Typically it works and havent had any deep cysts forming in recent months. I use this in the morning and Epiduo at night. I can't use it all over my face as it does burn very much

Pros:

got ride of my cysts on my forhead in like 1 WEEK or less that i can remembre...also improved marks and scabs fell off within 2 days :D

Cons:

dried out my face a little but hardly at all...and id rather have a bit of dry skin then pimpless :}

i was about 12 years old when my docter percribed this for my face and well it worked amazing. and about 2 months of useage i stopped it and my face kept clear for about another year or so. Then i started getting moderate acne but wasent half as bad as what i had before, though it still bothered me so i went back to the docter to get some more and i forgot the name of the cream so i told her the white cream and then she said she new what i wanted. WEll she didnt lol she gave me the wrong cream. The cream she gave me was clindosol and it never really worked as well as benzaclin..also i still thought i was using the benzaclin lol Now im 16 with moderate acne still..and its gotten kinda worse then it has been in the last year. I would only get maybe 1-3 pimples on my face now its just bad So when i was cleaning the other day i found the bottle that the benzaclin came in and i read it and well i was kinda PISSED though kinda relieved xDso imma go get the right cream and see if it works xD

Pros:

Very light consistancy, has cleared up my acne extremely well.

Cons:

Does dry out, skin gets used to it so you have to switch to pill form antibiotics and back, Not funded by New Zealand government so expensive.

It is amazing, the only thing that has worked so far for me and I feel beautiful again, like I can actually leave the house with confidence.

Pros:

Did what it was supposed to do (clear acne.) It did the full job in only the 3 months of summer, and stopped my pores from making excess oil.

Cons:

Dries out skin if used after acne is gone.

I love this treatment. It did what it was supposed to do and left me not dissappointed. After spending years looking for the right solution I finally found something that I can always depend on if the acne war starts again. The only thing I should warn you about is that you should maybe use something like Neutrogena Gentle Moisturizing cleanser right before using the cream because the harsh chemicals do dry out the skin. After your acne is gone I recommend halting your usage of the cream and starting a new regimen that consists of preventing acne not attacking it. Benzaclin will start eating away at your skin and making rough patches if it has nothing to attack.

Pros:

Works well after a few applications and results are very clear skin

Cons:

Dries out skin well, after 8 weeks i could no longer use product as my skin was massively irritated each time applied

A good quick fix, but irritation was just too much to continue using.

Pros:

It works REALLY well, IT cleared up my skin within hours of using it. It keeps your breakouts maintained for as long as you use it

Cons:

Stains EVERYTHING, pillow cases, clothes, and towels.

it also gives you a bad case of dry skin.

With insurance this product is pretty cheap. It's also good for the redness around the acne aswell as the acne its self. I found it works GREAT at first, and with constant use you won't break out(just the occasional pimple). For example, this summer i ran out of it, and after about a month my acne was pretty much to where it as before i began using it. Then when I got back I got some more and in about 2 days it pretty much cleared out my acne. I had it pretty bad to.
