Pros:

it works, prevents more pimples from forming. this product isn't to get rid of your pimples it is to get the future pimples from coming, and it does this job very well. Don't use on certain parts where it seems to react differently (red mini-pimples)

Cons:

it works well on recent blemishes but it takes many many months to see the results of the reduction of scars on the face.

i have been using this for almost a year now, I was hesitant but i decided to give it a shot (this was and is the only product i have used on my face besides soap)i to used it on my whole face, and this was good except that the places where i usually don't get pimples (forehead and nose, was clear) i got really tiny red bumps on, like mini-pimples. i kind of freaked out a bit but thought that since it worked on the rest of my face my nose and forehead were just getting used to it. so i just kept using it on my whole face including nose and forehead but i saw that no this is not the case because i think the pimples were getting worse(more mini-pimples) so i stopped using it on my nose anf forehead but use it everywhere else on my face and it took a while for the mini-pimples to go away it reduced day after day but it took about a month for it to really clear up. now i use it regularly (most of the time) and after a few months (3-4) i saw that my old scars were going to (yay!)

Pros:

Benzaclin seems to be making my mild/moderate acne less noticable. It is still there, but it's not the first thing people see when they look at me.

Cons:

It took a very long time for me to get results, and my acne is still there, it just seems "lighter". not as red or inflamed.

Benzaclin is good, but I think that it may take a very long time for the acne to be gone. I have used it now for about two exact months, and i see small differences. All in all, it seems to make the acne easier to handel, but not clear it up completley. I would recomend it to others, because it did help, and I have had no bad reactions to it.

Pros:

it actually works

Cons:

expensive even with insurance, can potentially lead to colitus / constipation (read the warning labels!)

I give it 4 stars instead of 5, even though it worked for me. A word on my acne, it is the cystic kind, painful, hard bumps and constantly inflamed. There were always 6-12 of them on my face. I've had acne for 8 years and nothing seemed to work...I tried prescription differin, azelic (sp?), herbs, apple cider vinegar, tea tree oil, oatmeal masks, murad and none of them really worked for me even with consistent use. It took about 6 weeks for benzaclin to stop new breakouts and heal most of the current cysts. However, I had to stop using benzaclin because it was starting to give me signs of colitus (read the labels, it is actually a side effect). So on a whim, I tried a friend's advice to use proactive. I was very surprised that it took away the rest of my acne and I've been acne free for the last five months (except for bursts when I'm under a lot stress). I give benzaclin credit for making my acne manageable so that proactive could do the rest, so I'm giving it a 4 stars.

Pros:

At first I was excited that it would help me get over a 35 yr battle of constant breakouts, and it seemed to help for about a yr. Insurance covers 90% of cost

Cons:

It seems to lose it's "kick" after the 1st week on a new mixed jar.

I guess it's better than nothing. If used in conjunction with an oral antibiotic it might work better.

Cons:

Price, Redness, Irritation

Pros:

clears skin, and helps minimise look of scars

Cons:

drying and redness, I got a red and dried out neck even though I didn't use it there, but just put noncomegenic moisterizer on my neck and redness is disapering.

I havent used it for long, but I notice results only after a few days, I'm on ammoxicillin(twice a day), and differn also, applying differn at night and applying benzaclin every other day, works well so far

Pros:

Clears up pimples pretty good.

Cons:

Dries skin randomly, and when it does dry my skin it dries it really bad. Redness. and makes my face feel stiff without a lotion on top.

I would recommend this product, it has cleared up my skin pretty good even though it took awhile, but now i have red scaring on my face. Not caused by the benza clin though. Now my problem is finding something to get rid of scars while still using benzaclin to clear pimples away.
