Pros:

I don't have severe acne but I do have a few red bumps here and there so I saw this in the dollar store and I just walked past it because it was in the dollar store of course it dosen't work, so my mom was behind me and she picked it up. So I thought what the heck and I used that night and the next morning my skin was clear!!..WORKS AMAZINGLY!! If you think I'm lying go to your nearest dollar store and find it. It's really cheap!! and REALLY WORKS so..you're not losing anything!

Cons:

- Dries out skin fast!
-when you're all out your sad )= (I suggest stock up..it's only 1.50)
- Burning and itching may occur but it is mostly moderate

- I suggest using st.Ives apricot scrub to help with the drying of the skin (softens skins and just makes you look amazing dollor store also for like 3.50,for the drying and peeling of the skin it may cause (everyone diffrent i didnt have peeling but here is my opinion) and it softens your skin so a double win and smells amazing!! - Bottom line::: This is an amazing effective product that really works, like if you have severe acne i HIGHLY recommended this and if it dosen't work, you don't lose anything!

Pros:

Works great in clearing acne and drying oily skin. Very affordable ($1.00) and readily available. Highest over the counter percent of Benzoyl Peroxide (%10). Amazing product overall. This works better than most RX (Differin, Tazorac, Retin-A).

Cons:

May cause some redness, peeling and stinging on skin. However, no worse than most acne creams. My skins use to these products so it doesn't hurt at all. Other than that... no cons.

This shouldn't be a problem for non-sensitive skin.

When I saw this product at the Dollar General Store selling for $1.00 I dismissed it immediately. Surely, something so cheap and over the counter couldn't possibly work. One day upon returning home from classes my aunt had purchased me a tube. I let it sit on the shelves for about two months. Then, I experience a terrible break out of acne. First, I applied my Benzoyl Peroxide 4 % topical creamy wash. Afterward, I applied a small film of Dr. Sheffield's Clear-zit to my face and patted my face with a towel. I did this so the product would cover the entire surface area of my face and keep it all clear. Then, I put a generous amount on each of the effected areas and rubbed it in vigorously. The next morning I could tell the product was drying the acne and working well. Three days later my face was nearly clear. I continued applications of the two products and at five days I was completely clear. As of now I apply these products daily to stay ahead of the game! I highly rec

Pros:

Doctored for acne on an off all my adult life. All treatments very expensive and no clear results. I realized that all had benzoyl peroxide and/or salycilic acid. Clearzit is very cheap and I do see results with it.

Cons:

On first applications, clearzit caused redness and dryness. I used an oil free moisurizer to help with this. I even mixed them at first to lower the concentration of BP. Still if I use in a new area, I expect redness and irritation.

Clearzit is the cheapest BP product I have found. The concentration is higher and with some care it can be more effective than expensive prescriptions. I use Clearzit Morning and Night after cleansing with Dove soap or a cleanser with Salycilic Acid. In the summer I use a toner with witch hazel between and in the winter I follow clearzit with an oil free moisturizer. I recommend Biore products to fill in the gaps. After countless expensive facial products and prescriptions, I figured it out myself. I wish someone had told me this when I was a teenager!!!

Pros:

I have only good things to say about the product.

Cons:

A little drying and redness from time to time.

I am 40 years old and thought that I would " outgrow" acne, truth is, I haven't. I have tried antibiotics, creams, pills, proactive, and several others to include acutane. None of them worked. I tried this five years ago, and have been acne clear with it, using it daily, along wih a moisurizer. I have shared it with only one friend, and her skin was worse than mine, and she is very happy with it too.

Pros:

Controls oil, dries blemishes fairly quickly (even the deep nodules/cysts), smooth consistency for easy application

Cons:

Very drying to the areas around my mouth and chin, doesn't completely clear or prevent my acne (which is severe), bleaches fabrics

At 23, my acne went from mild to severe within a few months of moving from OH to FL. I have tried all Rx and OTC products...my last trial of Differin/sulfur wipes/Tetracycline left me with multiple cysts on my cheeks and jawline. I stopped using everything and just used mild soap and ClearZit for the past 2 weeks. The smaller acne is now pretty much gone, and the cysts have decreased in size and frequency. No other product has worked so quickly and effectively, and it's only $1.00/tube at Dollar General! I hope that with continued use of ClearZit I won't have to spend and extra hour covering my zits before work each morning!!
