My experience: not gentle too stripping

I bought this cleanser when looking for new skincare in hopes of seeing a change in my skin and actually saw this as a recommendation from a someone on tiktok. I only used this without the regimen because I only get breakouts and do not have serious acne problems. I have been using this for about 3 months twice a day, and I have seen improvement in my skin since using this cleanser as the smaller bumps on the sides of my face have disappeared but I still breakout. Gel cleansers work better for my skin and I like that this foams up so it feels like I am really cleaning my skin however after washing it leaves my face tight which I thought this would not do since it claims to be "ultra gentle",  but this leaves my face feeling stripped of any oils (my skin type is normal to dry). After I moisturize this tight feeling goes away but your cleanser should not do that because it is damaging your skin and moisture barrier and I even noticed it caused my skin to peel. So once again I have to search for a new cleanser that can fulfill my skin's needs and is more hydrating. I still have a lot left since I got the largest size and will continue to use until its over to not waste it but I will now only cleanse once a day to help prevent over-stripping and use it as a body wash.

Pros: fragrance free, vegan, affordable, lasts a long time

Cons: too stripping for my skin type better for oilier skin, caused skin to peel, leaves face tight

Good, but would not repurchase
It's a pretty good gentle cleanser that can remove makeup, but the preservatives used in the cleanser are carcinogenic and extremely dangerous for the skin in the long haul. If I had checked the ingredients before purchasing I would not have bought it, but I was swayed by its affordability. After I finish my bottle I'm not going to repurchase. If the company considers switching out the preservative in the cleanser to a more gentle preservative like sodium benzoate, I would give it a second chance. But I'm not that familiar with the pricing of skincare ingredients though, so it might significantly up the price.

I had a terrible reaction to the preservative (quaternium-15) that is found in this cleanser. It took me months to figure out what was causing my eyelids to become red, itchy and scaly. This company definitely needs to reformulate this product!

want to love it, but dries me out!
I've used really harsh cleansers, but for whatever reason this just dries me out. I have really oily skin and am rarely dry anywhere but around my mouth or eyes. it's probably the only cleanser I've used that keeps my skin oily free most of the day and I want to love it but I don't think it agrees with my skin. I used it in conjunction with BP and moisturizer from The Regimen. my skin was clear but so so dry and horribly flaky. Cetaphil works better for me if I'm using BP. but I still would recommend trying it!

Pros:

non comedogenic!!!

Cons:

too drying after several weeks of use

my skin is combination, ultra sensitive and reactive. initially great then I had to discontinue for daily use after several weeks stripped my lipid barrier, skin felt tight after washing. For a while I also used this as a shampoo. What I love and that preserves my lipid barrier is Neutrogena Extra Gentle Cleanser, Another non comedogenic wipe off (no water) option may be (Bioderma) Micellar water. Avoiding sodium chloride in shampoo and cleanser was a game changer.

Pros:

I've been working at a buffet 10-12 hours a day for 5 days a week. Sometimes I get lazy of forget to use this cleanser and my faces itches, but right after I use it, the itchiness goes away and my face feels like a bunch of grease and dirt were lifted off my skin. I feel clean and look much better after using it. I tried neutrogena facewash, but it left my face feeling extremely dry straight after. This product saves me from facial disaster after a day of pollution & bacteria in the environment

Cons:

Have to order online

It makes you feel clean, but does not dry out your skin as bad as other products. Right after using it, you will feel much better after a long day at work.

Pros:

cleanses well
removes all dirt, oils, etc
doesn't smell bad
has a pump
only need about half a pump
lathers well

Cons:

VERY drying!
tight skin after, need a very good moisturizer

it would be a great cleanser if it didn't dry my skin out so much. even the acne.org moisturizer wasn't enough to combat the dryness from this and the BP after it. having to put on the BP after my skin had been stripped of all its moisture was awful. i had to switch my facial cleanser but i still use this for washing body acne and bacne
