Pros:

gentle, inexpensive for the size, easy pump, lathers up.

Cons:

the smell is so strong it made me nauseous.

everything is perfect about this cleanser except the strong smell that almost reminds me of a very strong alka seltzer.

Pros:

Gentle, Softens and Cleans skin well, Easily Applied, matches PH of your skin

Cons:

Its Gentle, but it doesn't really do all that much. Shipping makes it expensive considering that its basically just soap

It was really cool how it comes out as a clear liquid but then becomes a lather, and if you're looking for a cleanser that will clean your skin without causing redness or acne while being extra gentle this would suit the bill. However, I feel like its pretty expensive since it doesn't really treat acne so much as prepares your skin for other treatments. After running out of this after a few months while getting very limited results I switched to a store brand wash with Sal Acid. It isn't nearly as gentle or as good to my skin, but it seems to help with acne more. Overall, if you've got mild acne go for this or something like this where you won't have to pay outlandish shipping. If you've got moderate to severe acne you might want to look for something stronger.

Pros:

Gentle and not overdrying

Cons:

Watch the ingredients for changes/updates - compare labels.

I used this wash for a year until the ingredients changed a bit. Some people may not be affected by the change - but my skin was. After a year of being able to use the wash - I cannot use this wash anymore - I get cystic acne on my jawline and on my forehead - places where I never would even get pimples. It's a good wash if you can handle ingredient changes once in awhile. My skin could not.

Pros:

Light fragrance

Cons:

Glorified baby shampoo/wash. Lathers/foams up too much thus removing all oil from your skin leaving it dry and exposed.

Look at the ingredients of Johnson & Johnson Baby wash. The major ingredients (although in different proportions) are same. This cleanser suds up too much, thus emulsifying all the fats and oils on your skin and completely removing the skin's natural protective barriers. Although cetaphil doesn't foam up at all and doesn't actually clean your skin. I recommend something between these two extremes. Philosophy purity made simple is the best I have found so far.

Pros:

-Cleanses
-Not too harsh

Cons:

-A bit drying

Dan's cleanser was good and all, but it was a bit too over drying for me. I had a cleanser at home that accomplished the same job, but wasn't as bad.

Pros:

Very gentle.

Cons:

Didn't clean well enough for me.

After three weeks or so of twice daily use, I realized my skin was looking more and more congested. So, I tried using toner after this cleanser and immediately realized that this cleanser just wasn't getting my skin very clean. I guess my mineral makeup and oily skin were too much for such a gentle cleanser. I switched back to my former cleanser (Olay foaming face wash for sensitive skin) and my skin was in much better condition within a week. I'm sure this cleanser is great for others, but it wasn't right for me.

Pros:

Very Gentle

Cons:

After a long day when I im very oily or sweaty , my face doesnt seem clean like it does when I used my Cetaphil bar.Sometimes it leaves dead skin on my face(visibly).

It doesnt dry out, on calm days it does seem to clean. Definitely worth the price(of the big bottle). I do recommend it

Pros:

Great cleanser! Leaves my face feeling very clean!

It smells kinda nasty
Tends to overdry my skin

Overall its a great product. I really can't stand the smell, but it cleans my skin well, which is worth it.

Pros:

Consistency is near perfect, with just enough of a lather; rinses clean; doesn't sting or turn the face red (for those of you who have issues with cleansers doing that)

Cons:

Too drying to use alone; somewhat irritating to the eyes

Perhaps the lather is what makes this drying for some people. For them I would recommend Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser over this.
