Pros:

Very gentle
it leaves skin very smooth and nice feeling

Cons:

the smell is kind of funny at first but you get used to it so fast it smells like nothing later on

okay so i had mild to moderate acne for at least 3 years and things were getting worse and worse since my pimples were growing faster than my red spots were fading but ever since i started using a cleanser like Spectrojel i only get 1 pimple every 2 weeks and the pimples that i get now are so small that it doesn't even matter anymore it looks like clear skin almost

Works Well but Does Not Remove Makeup
This cleanser is a pretty good product! It has a really nice feel on the skin; light and cool. It's very gentle, so it would be great for someone with sensitive or easily irritated skin. I applied it when my skin was dry and rinsed it off with warm water. The only downside is that it does not remove makeup, so if this is your sole cleanser, any foundation/concealer/powder etc. is not effectively removed, and this can cause or worsen acne. As long as you pair this with a makeup remover or makeup-removing wipes, you shouldn't have any problems!

Pros:

- very gentle
- will not dry skin or make it tight
- non-irritating
- fragrance free
- definitely will not make acne any worse or lead to clogged pores
- cleans face

Cons:

- doesn't foam (this isn't really a con, but I know it bothers some people)
- doesn't do much to remove dead skin or makeup
- does not fight acne on its own

I've been using this cleanser for two years now. I've tried switching to other things but keep coming back to this because it is a genuinely good cleanser. The only thing that bothers me is that if you're using benzoyl peroxide and dead skin tends to accumulate on your face, this will not remove it at all. It also doesn't remove makeup. It removes surface oil but that's about it - which is probably a good thing, since it means it isn't being harsh, but sometimes a little more is wanted through cleansing...overall a good cleanser though.

Pros:

Works very well! Clears up oily skin and acne

Cons:

It smells a bit like alcohol?

I've used this product for many years...10+ years. During my teenage years, I've had moderate acne here and there. Picking it and there every so often, leaving scars etc. Went to the doctor and he provided me with a sample bottle of SpectroJel. Within couple days, my skin started getting redder and all that. Someone told me it was shedding the oils inside my skin. I continued using the product and after another week, my skin had improved drastically! Pretty much within 3 weeks of using the product, my skin cleared up. Over the years I have switched to other products since my skin was no longer that oily. However I would have the occasional breakout. I am back on SpectroJel and my skin has been great. Family and friends have actually commented on how much better my skin has been after switching back One tip: Gently rub all over your face for a MINIMUM of 30 seconds. I can feel oil being lifted out of the pores after a long night out and it feels damn good!

Pros:

Smell is capable to deal with, its clear, good amount in the bottle specially for the price, makes my skin feel smooth, got rid of a lot of my acne.

Cons:

I don't really have any.. the bottle is pretty ugly lol but.. that has nothing to do with the product itself..

It's great ive been using it for 3 years, my acne has gone down quiete a bit, it used to be very severe. I now get complimented on how clear my skin is. Easy to use, easy to find, lots too choose from, and it's very affordable!

Pretty Awesome.

Pros:

Gentle
Non-drying

Cons:

Have to use a lot to get full coverage

Awesome cleanser, and about as gentle as it gets. Doesn't over-dry skin, and gets the job done.

Pros:

Non-irritating
Doesn't dry out face
Gets rid of some acne
Light

Cons:

Doesn't remove makeup very well

This is a pretty good product especially if you have dry or sensitive skin. Problem i have with this one is that it doesn't remove make like foundation at all. If you use make I'd say use a good but gentle make up remover first or use toner afterwards.

Pros:

(purple bottle- Sensitive& problem prone skin)The product comes in a big bottle, its gentle on skin, does not try it out, it's affordable, and it has not caused me to break out where as other washes have.

Cons:

I don't think it has really cleared up my skin much.. although it hasn't made me break out either. I think i just need the one for oily skin because my face still gets oily during the day after using the wash.

I would recommend this product because it is a good cleaner and it is quality and quantity. Although it hasnt cleared up my skin as much, it has worked for others... so go for it!

Best Cleanser Yet
I have been using this cleanser for about a week now and I have to say it is my favourite cleanser yet. Before using this I was using the exposed skin care system and it really did a number on my skin. I won't ever use it again. The spectro gel for blemish prone skin fragrance free one is so gentle on my skin and is moisturizing which I am in need with the winter weather and just being put on accutane. I believe it will continue to help my skin so I would recommend it to people with acne prone skin and sensitive skin:)

Pros:

Doesn't dry skin
Scent free
Great cleanser
Easy to use
No burning sensation
No harmful chemicals
Cheap

Cons:

Doesn't clear scars
Will make skin slightly red after usage
Takes a bit longer to see results

I use this in the shower everyday and it works great on my sensitive skin. I've tried everything and it only made my skin extremely dry and red. Spectro Jel however doesn't make my skin dry but only redens my skin immediately after I get out of the shower (redness will slowly go away after 10 minutes). That being said, I use it daily and in the shower. It's quick, easy, doesn't smell and keeps my skin pretty clear. I recommend using a different product for scars considering it does not clear those up. I also recommend using a light, oil free moisturizer after washing off the Spectro Jel if you are prone to dry skin.
