Pros:

not drying
economical
different scents to your preference
can be used for almost anything

Cons:

none.

I've tried Cetaphil, Clean and Clear, Neutrogena, ProActiv, and for a while, I gave up on cleansers and soaps completely for my face. I scrubbed with a washcloth with only water and it made my skin more irritated and have scabs from the broken skin. Dr. Bronner's Tea Tree Oil Liquid Soap is the ONLY thing I have ever used to not dry out my skin, make me dry and flaky, or leave residue. It leaves absolutely no residue. You only need a few drops. I use three to four drops of the stuff and it lathers amazingly. You don't need any more than that. Maybe that's why people are saying that it can be drying. I don't know, but it is awesome for me. It's not difficult to find (CVS, rite-aid, etc.) and you can use it for your body. I only use a drop for each body part. One for upper arm, one for forearm, and I change the amount proportionately from there.

Pros:

-Best soap I've used. It leaves your skin feeling clean, and neutral feeling. It doesn't dry mine out, or leave it oily at all.
-It's concentrated, I've used the 32oz bottle for about 4 months now, theres still more than half left, I use it for shampoo, face, and body everyday.
-I''m using the tea tree oil variety, but I feel the other flavors would work as well

Cons:

-Exceptions eternally? absolutely none

This is a good cleanser to use for acne skin, but I don't think it would clear up my skin by itself. I recommend this soap to everyone, acne or not. All around a great product.

Pros:

- Very gentle but effective
- Cleans off all makeup
- Face feels very clean
- Tightens pores
- All natural/Vegan/Organic/Fair Trade
- Different nice smelling scents
- Awesome packaging/bottle

Cons:

- Does not treat acne
- Can be a tiny bit drying but not bad
- Liquid soap not easiest to use
- Keep having to go through lots of face towels

I love Dr. Bronner's Liquid Soap!! Seriously it is AMAZING. It is the best and most gentle, yet effective face cleanser/wash I have ever used! For real. I use the peppermint and I love the cool tingly sensation it gives my face. The packaging is dank and it's all natural/organic/fair trade/vegan. I love love love it. :) Now, that being said, it doesn't seem to treat my acne alone. For almost a month I have been using it and I now have a couple more pimples and some blackheads than before. HOWEVER, my face is normally extremely oily (so oily it looks wet due to years of BP). I think that is the reason, not because of Dr. Bronner's Soap. I was hoping it would help with oiliness but so far it hasn't. I still am totally in love with this product. <3 Go buy this right now. Seriously, get ready and go to Target and buy this shiz. :)

Pros:

Simple to use
Really dissolve dirt on your skin
Smells good
Natural Clean feeling

Cons:

None!

I've been cleasing my face with this liquid soap for 3 weeks now along with moisturizing with jojoba oil. Let me tell you, it is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. I use to suffer with cystic acne and the combonation of this cleanser with jojoba oil has healed my skin. I only have 1 active bump on my skin at this point and it will heal within 3 days. At first, the jojoba oil with bring to surface any bacteria under the skin, but don't be alarmed because your skin is healing. My skin is healthly now and really looks beautiful and radiant!

Pros:

Natural
Smells great!
Helps acne, especially hormonal
reduces blackheads
can be used in place of shampoo

Cons:

NONE! Totally awesome!

I picked up the tree tea variety of Dr. Bronner's a couple of weeks ago after reading some reviews on Acne.org, and OH MY GOD it is amazing! I have been battling acne since I was 16, have gone through two bouts of (unsuccessful) accutane, (Unsuccessful) tetracycline, various other pills, birth control pills, everything. I have used various acids designed for acne, salicylic and others. NOTHING worked for me. Sure, some lessened my acne, but nothing got rid of my occasional cysts, or blackheads, or little comedones, that is until now. I have been clear since I started using Dr. Bronners two weeks ago! YAY! I a couple of very diluted drops of the soap every evening to wash off my makeup. That's it. Then I moisturize (as I have for years, this doesn't make me break out) with Weleda almond face moisturizer. Then I sleep and wake up with almost perfect skin (years of acne has left me with a few parting gifts like enlarged pores and a few fading red spots). It's like a freakin' miracle. Even the blackheads that have been in my nose for at least 10 years are disappearing... Dr. Bronner's isn't a miracle, I have been working really hard on healing my acne and healing my body the last two months. Along with Dr. Bronner's I have been eating better (more organic fruits and veg, no fried foods, less processed foods), taking zinc and omega 3 suppliments, getting accupuncture, and doing yoga. Attacking my acne from all sides, naturally! AND it works! Don't use anything on your skin that you wouldn't use on a baby's skin- having extra chemicals in your system will not help your acne in the long run! Your skin is your body's biggest organ and a means of eliminating waste. Chemicals are waste. Think about it. I would say this regime works best for stubborn adult hormonal acne. I'm SO happy!

Pros:

-Organic
-Smells great
-Good Lather
-Gentle and effective

Cons:

none

I have been using Dr. Bronner's lavender castile soap for a couple months now and I love it. I have tried all of the "gentle" soaps on the market and nothing has been as good as this one. I have had no adverse reactions and my skin has improved a lot since using it. I cannot say if it is the soap or the combination of everything in my regimen that's is keeping my skin clear but I have no intention of changing soaps.

Pros:

Gentle- the unscented version seems as gentle as Cetaphil to me. The scented versions might be a little less gentle.
Cleans- while as gentle as Cetaphil this is soo much better at removing make up and whatnot. A good lather will remove almost to all of your non-waterproof mascara first try!
Little goes a long way.

Cons:

Sometimes squirt out more than needed.

I wash my face (gently like Dan recommends) twice whenever I wear make up; first to remove make up and second time to cleanse skin. It doesn't dry my skin out. And the citrus one smells like an orange creamsicle! This can also be used for make up brushes, hair, and body!

Pros:

Smells good, vegan, not tested on animals, fairtrade, organic etc. AND: STOPPED MY BACKNE!

Cons:

A little strong, but can be dilluted!

This is by far the best product I have tried for my backne. I have used it for a week in combo with Sudocreme every now and then, and the results are amazing. Acne is clearing up, scars are less visible. I am so happy as i have struggled with backne for years, and really have dreaded getting undressed. Now, it is not at all a problem, apart from some scars that will fade. I recommend this to everybody who wants to get rid of backne. And it also is a good soap overall! Today i am even tying it out as a deodorant! :-)

Pros:

-helped clear up backacne A LOT
-reduced "belt rashes" due to an allergy of nickel
-not overdrying
-skin feels smooth and soft

Cons:

I can't think of any.

I've been using this soap as a body cleanser, I'm a little hesitant to try it as a facial cleanser. But I will, because of all of the good reviews.

Pros:

cost-efficient, vegan and organic, plain and simple, fair-trade ingredients, does not irritate acne or sensitive skin, cleans face/body without exposure to chemicals/dyes/perfumes/foaming agents, is versatile enough to use on hair/face/body/mouth/hands

Cons:

Peppermint scent can leave skin a bit tingly..

This is my numer one favorite product, ever, period. Just a few drops in a washcloth is enough to cover your whole body in rich lather that cleanses and invigorates the skin. It keeps the excess oil off of the face, and leaves you feeing wholesome , not slick and slimy or chemically treated like other "soaps." Dr. Bronners is well worth the money and everybody should own a bottle. My favorite scent is almond.
