Pros:

The 16 oz. bottle lasted me for an entire year, very affordable and cleared my skin

Cons:

mildly drying

This soap was recommended to me by a friend who had adult acne which was cured using this soap. I highly recommend the Peppermint variety since the mint has anti-fungal properties which reduced inflammation. If you're skeptical, try buying the travel sized versions which will only cost a few bucks, but I guarantee you will come back and get a larger size later.

Pros:

It doesn't dry out my skin or worsen my acne. It leaves my skin feeling soft and clean. Zaps up all the oil without leaving my face tight.

Cons:

The peppermint is a bit much for my face's sensitive skin but the lavender is just right.

Absolutely amazing. I've been using this soap, coupled with a lavender oil lotion and my face is ridiculously clear. I have been battling with cystic acne since I was 12 and I'm now 27. I've tried every over the counter and saw a dermatologist for 5 years (a slew of pills, peels and lotions). I've modified my diet and guzzled gallons of water. I was convinced I would need prescription acne lotions and would have to deal with these painful embarrassing red pustules for life. Until I found this soap. I had months of cysts on my face and in a little than two weeks they were gone. I finally wake up with soft clear skin. I use it with Avalon Organic Lavender face lotion that can be found at Stop N Shop or Walmart. FINALLY I can throw all my benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin OUT. A natural lifesaver I am proud to brag about.

Pros:

Incredibly versatile, natural, healthy for skin, smells and feels nice, is a company I feel good supporting, cleans effectively.

Cons:

Can be drying.

I am a huge fan of these soaps. I have Peppermint, and use it for everything. We're pals. I feel like they clean much more deeply than the more heavily marketed washes. I really appreciate that they don't have BP and other nasty chemicals, because while I'm not a complete cynic, they've just never worked for me and I don't see the need to risk aging and other skin issues for no benefit. The company itself is great, I love that they're not advertised and the people are still passionate about the (free trade!) product. It definitely does help keep me clearer than the biore and proactiv cleansers I sometimes use when I don't appreciate Dr. B's enough, and I attribute that to the really deep clean I feel like I get. I wouldn't expect it to be a magic bullet cure, but I don't think a cleaner should be that. It is what it is, a great, effective cleanser, so I wouldn't get it confused with masks and treatments.

Pros:

Tea Tree Version:This soap is very good for less severe or post-primary treatment acne. Leaves face feeling smooth and refreshed, cleans without drying. Affordable, fair trade, organic, no sodium laurel sulfate or other weird chemicals. Lasts foreve.

Cons:

Very high PH level, around 9, which has worsened acne for some users. Not recommended for severe cases. Might be more effective for acne on the body than on face for those individuals.

I would recommend this product for older (past 22 maybe) individuals or for others who have overcome their initial teenage acne and are looking for a facial cleaner that is not as expensive or drying as normal acne face washes. While I have personally only used the tea tree oil version, I would not be surprised if the Peppermint and Lavender versions are equally/more effective. You can also use Dr. Bronner's to wash your clothes, clean your floors, and do your dishes!

Pros:

OMGGGGGGGGG
i have tried everything for the last 7 years and this is...
beyond amazing. it clears up existing blemished, clears out pores, reduces redness and scarring, and makes my skin less oily and CLEAN feeling

Cons:

you must DILUTE this product or it is drying, but this isn't really a con because this bottle will last you at least a year that way.

the BEST. plus, it's all natural and you can feel good about it.

Pros:

Dr Bronner's PEPPERMINT Magic Liquid Soap is prob the best cosmetic purchase I have ever made in my life. Clears up acne, reduces oil, 100% vegetarian, 100% vegan, 100% organic, 100% biodegradable, 100% affordable, 100% worth it

Cons:

none

the peppermint is relatively potent so just make sure to dilute in certain areas (cooch, penis, whatever). i don't dilute on my face cause it does a great job keeping the face clear. i bought the 32fl oz and i heard its suppose to last for 6 months. i bought it like 3 months ago and only managed to use about half of it. perfect for camping cause you can use it to wash hair, face, body, and even toothpaste. throw out everything you are using and get this!
