One more thing! A good moisturiser is a necessity for me too, it is quite drying.

Great for Acne!
I think this product is great, especially if you have under the skin pimples, the small ones it really works wonders in drying them up in a few days after using this product I noticed a difference. But, with cystic acne the process may take a while longer, however it really does dry the acne up, downside since its a drying agent my skin becomes a little flaky and peels off, but I just place it in the affected areas. I highly recommend this product, but make sure you stick to it religiously. I apply it twice a day, once after uni when I'm home and the other time before I sleep, but apply a very thin layer as to not cause skin irritation. I do recommend that you put on some oil free, non-comedogenic moisturizer in the morning since this is very drying, I skip that part because well I haven't found the right moisturizer that doesn't break me out so.. yeah! This product works great for me, hope you notice a difference too :)

I recommend the Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer from First Aid Beauty. It's cruelty free, lightweight and absorbs well. I don't think it has contributed to my breakouts. The bottle has lasted me a long time, too.

Pros:

starts working within 1 week
does get rid of pimples and scars
noticible reduced in 1 month

Cons:

dries out skin in a month and can get sore, red, iritated especially around the nose though goes away in a few weeks
my acne came back after 3 months of using benzac

i would recomend this for your first time trying it. in 2-3 months my skin was completly clear. I kept using benzac and now my skin is back to acne poping up so once your skin has reached perfect stop using it!

Trick not to get redness and itchiness

Pros:

clears up acne completely
cheap, no prescription needed

Cons:

bleaches evthing my face touches
might dry ot skin

My secret is to put Benzac OVER the moisturizer. After shower I wait 5 min before putting on Benzac, guess what, by that time skin is already dried out:( so Benzac plus, here we go red and itchy skin:) moisturizer after didn't save me:) So my way, after shower I use my moisturizer on NOT completely dried out skin. THEN wait 5-15 min and then apply generously Benzac. That way I completely avoid ALL dryness, redness, itchiness:) Probably it's not completely absorbed by skin, but it's OK, cos smth. IS absorbed and NO irritation at all:) Warning: IF irritation occurs just change the moisturizer, some of them react badly with Benzac. I use nuxe prodigieuse light or creme fraishe light- works great. Worked terrible though with nuxe nirvanesque light - got irritation:)

Pros:

Works fairly quickly
Isn't greasy
Over the counter
Does its job!

Cons:

Expensive for a small tube
Consistent use is key
Stings for a bit

I've been on and off Benzac AC 5% for the past six months, just sporadically putting it on the trouble areas (in small dabs). But when I fully integrated it in my skincare ritual in the way the regimen does, I saw results. My acne is not severe at all, but the frequency in which I do get breakouts is very often, so I needed something to WORK. Benzac does work, only if you're willing to put the effort in on rubbing it on your whole face (like the regimen says) twice a day. You can't give up even though your face might feel like it's on fire for a few minutes. I think that's a minor trade-off for clearer skin. On the first day after applying Benzac on my face, my reddish pimples that were swollen the day before began to dry up. The smaller whiteheads near my ears/towards the hollows of my cheeks dissipated and I couldn't feel any cysts coming up. My routine goes: Cleanse with 1) Ponds Clear Solutions Anti-Bacterial Facial Scrub Treat with 2) Benzac AC 5% Moisturise with 3) The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion (When my skin is extra dry, I don't use the Tea Tree Lotion. Instead I use 4) Cetaphil Moisturising Lotion) Hope it works for you!

Pros:

Really works, reducs acne after a few months of CONSISTENT USE. It's good becase it works, while not being prescription.
Skin should be almost clear in 3 months, and you should have very minor acne by 6. After that, skin should look normal.

Cons:

When incorporating into the whole cleansing routine it can get a little pricey. I need to buy my cleanser (Neutrogena) Mask (Body Shop) Toner (Biole) plus the Benzac. Overall, i'm paying about $50 a month. But it's well worth.
I did experience some minor dry skin problems a few weeks after I started to use Benzac, but it cleared up after a week.
It DOESN'T WORK RIGHT AWAY! Don't fret and stop using it. Be consistent and it will work.

Slightly drying and a little pricey. But well worth the money as it really helps. Soon I am going to move up to the 10% as the rate of improvement is slowing down. I would really recommend this product, as it is a great cream to use after cleansing at night, when the skin rejuvinates itself. (:

Pros:

Very affordable, and it works. I am in my thirtys and have been fighting with really bad skin for years. I have tried Proative and many other produts nothing ever worked. Been using this for two weeks now and my skin is 80% clear

Cons:

dry skin

this product works, i never thought i would ever have clear skin again. Honestly gave up hope. My doctor suggested this product for my daughter. So I thought I would give it a try and I have to say I am truly blown away. Every day I notice my skin getting clearer and I have to say if you haven't tried it you need to. Yes your skin feels very dry, but for me i will take that over acne any day.. best of luck to everyone this is a must try product

Good spot treatment
When i first started using this, my face was itchy and red and dry. But after a few days, i've noticed that it did dry my pimples which was awesome! The only thing i dont like about this is that, it leaves a brown mark after. But so far, this product works

Benzole peroxide will work
There are few acne products that actually produce effective results this is one of them. If you are like me and have had acne for many years then you would also have accumulated a lot of info on products and what actually has evidence of working. Benzole peroxide does work. Will it work for everyone? No.. because people's faces and skin differ. People can be severely sensitive to certain products natural or otherwise. You have to read up as much as you can. And you have to try things to see of they will work for you. This product is definitely worth it to try out. This brand ? Well you can get cheaper forms so it's up to you. So more about my skin: I'm 25 been off the pill for 1 year and 3 months have acne. Oily tzone mostly white heads on cheeks with occasional cystic sore deep ones. I followed my own regimen of bioderma sensibio h2o followed by duac and go to bed . Next morning bioderma and sunscreen. Leave the scrubbing and abrasive washes be and keep things simple. I'm not 100% clear and I have hiper pigmentation scars but I'm much better than I have ever been off the pill.

Pros:

It freaken dried them pimples out that i even started feeling sorry for them..lol Great product

Cons:

Like i said it dries...and i mean DRIES!! i use the 5% wash and 5% gel..my skin feels like a dehydrated man in the desert.

I love this product I'v seen wonderful results after starting to use it only 5 day's ago....Iv been shopping aroung and tried almost all products that "are supposed to work" but simply it does not i'v been a great fan of clearasil ultra, but i decided i dont want a product that keeps the pimples under control i want a product that gets rid of the as in totally...i got so deppressed after looking in the mirror once...so i stole my mom's car and the medical aid card and bought Benzac and i dont regret it ....I am already rid of all my bigger pimples but the smaller one's tend to take a little longer to clear up.
