Pros:

i got this product by prescription by my local doctor, it clears your acne fast and effectively.

Cons:

I think the doctor had a grudge against me, a way of tryin 2 prescribe me something that would BURN my f****** face off ! this stuff is lethal i tell you, if you have sensitive skin then dont use it ! it turns your face SO dry and flaky

from wat i see this proudct has ad the same reiew over and over again e.g - dry flaky burnt side effects, i dont even no why this stuff is rated to b the best treatment 4 acne cuz reely its like puttin f****** acid on yuor face.i used it 4 bout a week and my face was bone dry with big brown patches of dry dead skin....took alot of vaseline to get my face bak in shape, but after, it was nice n smooth, BUT never again will i use this loada sh*t cuz it just aint worth lookin like a dry ballsac wen u wana go out and enjoy yourself.

Pros:

Excellent product that clears skin very effectively. Highly suitable for mild to moderate acne, particularly if skin is reasonably hardy. Consistent use produces smooth, glowing skin and also appears to reduce size of pores. Thoroughly recommended.

Cons:

May not be suitable for overly sensitive skin. Can cause irritation in first stages: redness, dry skin and stinging. Side-effects particularly marked around eyes. Bleaches coloured fabrics and hair. Tube is small considering large volumes used on DKR

An excellent product for mild to moderate acne. Particularly suitable for oily skin that is not sensitive. Recommend small volume usage at early stages, graduating to full amount after three weeks. Moisturiser is essential following application.

Pros:

I really belive this stuff works.

Cons:

My skin looks leathery, and is dry! I never thought I would see the day that my skin is dry because I have oily skin. My face is peeling here and there but it doesn't look so bad when I put on some moisturizer.

The drying effect is not so bad, actually, because like I said I have oily skin. I use Clean&Clear Oil-Free moisturizer and that helps a lot. I only have mild acne to start with, mostly blackheads and whiteheads. I have breakouts every once in a while but nothing serious. I have noticed that the pores on my cheeks are getting smaller!! My skin is definitely improving. It looks smoother to me and I think that in a few more weeks it will be very clear :)

Pros:

Gets rid of spots, mild acne

Cons:

Harsh on skin
Will leave red marks if you have pale/sensitive skin

I think there should be a warning somewhere stating that benzoyl peroxide is not as suitable for those with very pale skins - as I think although it does get rid of spots, it is harsh and leaves lingering red marks behind

Pros:

Cleared fast, VERY few side effects, excellent stuff.

Cons:

After 4 days I started to get a LITTLE flaking by the bottom of my lip.

First BP I've tried, always used salicylic before finding this site. I checked in 2 stores, and they only had two kinds of BP, so I tried this stuff. After 2 days I noticed HUGE improvements in my skin. By 4-5 days my skin was almost completely cleared. Kind of odd. I didnt get any side effects anyone else did. My skin is somewhat oily, but due to working outside in the cold all the time it still gets dry and flaky at times. When I got this BP I also got some Cetaphil moisturizer, and have had VERY minimal drying since. I havent gotten any scars from this product either. All in all, AWESOME product. If you have dry skin naturally, I'd say maybe try somethign else first. Otherwise, this stuff is amazing.

Pros:

Mostly Cleared Up Acne
Cheap
Easily Available

Cons:

VERY IRRITATING
Extreme Redness & Dryness
Didn't fully clear me up

This product did clear me up rather well, but after trying to very slowly build up my usage for 8 months I had to give up - my face was so so red it was awful. I had previously used 5% BP Duac Cream which was FAR less irritating. I'm not sure what ingredient it is in Panoxyl, but it destroyed my skin - and a lot of people on here seem to agree with me, but lots of others love it. I think it just depends on how sensitive your skin is, but if your redness and dryness just refuses to go away after 2 months - give up and switch! Your skin is obviously allergic to something in Panoxyl, I have much better results with Oxy on the Spot (bit more expensive and a 2.% Cream) and Duac Gel (a free prescription 5% Gel with Antibiotic).

Pros:

- Gel Base
- cheap!
- comes in good sized tube!
- water base vs alcohol

Cons:

- Grainy
- sticky when putting on and throughout the day
- doesnt mix well with moisturizer

So we all know BP is drying, and this one is no different so im not going to complain about side effect associated with BP. It has a grainy texture, its difficult to spread around, it feel sticky when you put it on and throughout the day(if u dont moisturize) when apply moisturizer you have to apply alot as because the face is so sticky it doesnt allow the moisturizer to spread around easily!! its alot easier to spread then its 5% cousin but it comes in a good sized tube, its in a water base, its gel form, and its cheap so 4.0 stars. i will continue to use it unless i find something that spreads easier and similar size/value

Pros:

Really does cleap up skin!

Cons:

At first (and i stress only at first) skin becomes dry and flakey. But after a week, skin gets used to it and goes back to normal (soft and smooth).

Took up to 4-6 weeks to see complete improvement.

PLEASE BE PERSISTANT! Do not give up! The dryness does go away and spots do disappear if you give it time (about a month). I am 21 now but never had spots during puberty. Then when i became 18 i suddenly started getting big red sore spots (inflammatory acne) and it got worse as time went on. Ive tried many things, but this is the only thing that keeps my chin clear! Im on antibiotics aswell but i need panoxyl to keep me completely clear (espescially before my period). Plus doctor told me using benzoyl peroxide helps prevent resistance to antibiotics therefore using them together is a really good idea!

Pros:

It does clear spots, fragrance free, very cheap

Cons:

Very thick gel that drys really tight on skin. Also skin is very very very red and flakey

This stuff does clear acne...however after a few days of use you go red as a tomato and really really flakey...parts of my skin were as rough as sandpaper no jokes! But if u cant put up with it, it will work on spots. I hate the fact its a really thick gel tho....so im trying quinoderm 5 cus its a cream with anticeptic in it so it shud be gentler..will update
