Pros:

works!

Cons:

drys skin a little so you have to apply moisturiser but not straight after you apply it or it wont work as well! if you have sensitive or dry skin only apply it once a day, mine was perscribed to me by my doctor so i know i have the right treatment!

works well, just don't apply it as much if you have sensitive or dry skin!

Pros:

sort of prevents new spots

Cons:

seriously red, irritated and dry skin months after using it and spots still coming.

i have mild - moderate acne and it works to prevent spots in some areas of my face but in others they just keep coming and i have been using it for 2months + !! my skin is so red and tight and discoloured from it - i may switch to only using it at night and see what happens. dissapointed with it really though :( however, i know alot of people have had a lot of success with it. Maybe my skin is just too sensitive. I recommend to try it and see otherwise you won't know.

Pros:

Really helps oily skin and de-angries pimples.

Cons:

Causes peeling + redness initially.

I think you just need to give your skin extra time to adjust to this product. I jumped in the deep end, put too much on and ended up looking like a flaky satsuma plum... I didn't have bad cheeks acne wise, so I stopped using it on them for a while but broke out; I started with a tiny tiny tiny amount and very sneakily buit up to the full amount, which now doesn't bother my skin in the slightest. My forehead didn't seem to mind so much, was full of gunk, I think the PanOxyl was spending it's time attacking my acne and not irritating my skin =D My skin is getting exponentially better now that I've found an balanced and amicable relationship with my PanOxyl :)

Pros:

Good for mild to severe acne

Cons:

cause irritation and redness of the skin (which is normal for the first 2 weeks) Some skin flakes, too. So always apply moisturizer.

1. Wash your face with mild cleanser. 2. Gently apply this BP on the affected area. 3. Use moisturizer after. To early to say that it really works for me, since I've been just using it for a couple of weeks. But I could clearly say that my face is starting to improve somehow. And I am going to continue using it till my face is free from any breakouts.

Pros:

Clears Redness
MAY clear spots.

Cons:

Dries skin.

I got prescribed this as since i was about 13 ive had quite bad acne, im only 16, and its knocking my confidence as it would anybody. I got prescribed it on Monday then used it till now. Wednesday, Ive been putting it on a night.. I cant say ive noticed any massive improvements yet, other than drying my skin, but i can say it has taken some of the redness away, and I dont see any new spots forming. my acne prone areas are WAY dry and are peeling a bit.. Ive been using E45 cream for that over some antibiotics I was given by my doctor.

Pros:

Clears acne very quickly
Very inexpensive

Cons:

Drys skin a lot
Stains clothes

I've been using this product for a few months now and it's been amazing to my skin! Within a week after using it I saw a significant improvment with my acne. For the first time in years I have clear skin. I use a small amount each night after taking a hot shower and it seems to work great. However, it dries the skin a lot. It's got to the point where I have to carry moisturizer with me where ever I go (which is not ideal for a guy). But when I miss just one night of using it, I wake up with more pimples. So I'd rather stick with it.

Pros:

I like the metallic-like container :)
Gel-based, doesn't leave a residue

Cons:

Horrid smell
Doesn't go on to the face well
Extremely drying. The 2.5% Panoxyl was even more drying than the 10% Oxy brand.

I was originally using Oxy 10% BP for my acne, but it was cream based and left a white residue when i sweat (my country has a very hot climate) and hence i switched to Panoxyl as it was a cheap gel-based BP treatment compared to Benzac. However, even though I started off at a really small amount, Panoxyl dried up my skin a LOT even though I slab on tons of moisturizer (not Dan's though). It is really surprising how the 2.5% Panoxyl is more drying than the 10% Oxy. I guess a good thing about Panoxyl is that it doesn't burn my skin, although it dries it and causes redness. I wouldn't recommend this as I believe there are milder and better alternatives out there like Benzac and Oxy. It could be that Panoxyl has harsher ingredients. Oh and Panoxyl smells absolutely horrid.

Pros:

I am still waiting for dan's gel to arrive so I bought this In the meantime. It seems to work well! Doesn't dry any more than dan's does and it goes on clear and doesn't clump with make-up. Tip for those of you who wear make up, pick up the body shop

Cons:

It's a bit thicker than dan's and therefore a bit harder to spread on. Also,a smaller container. I think I've been using a lot less than dan's.

I'd recommend it. For those of you who say it's drying, you really have to start slow. This drying effect happened to me with dan's gel when I started using it. It's just the way bp works. But once you've experimented with what threshold your skin can take, you'll settle in to a routine and it'll work great!
